Hello,

Glad you are sounding positive Duck. I'm going to have a go at been more positive this cycle. I mentioned on a different thread my thinking that there's no way I can see this ever happening and someone else replied that they think the same about themselves but maybe their negative attitude isn't helping. Anyway got me thinking about all that positive thoughts bring positive things malarky and I've decided to try to be positive, as if it doesn't happen then I will be gutted again regardless, so I might as well be positive in the meanwhile. Another thing that's been positive today is my opk again, so looks like ov might still be eluding me, so OH is going to get pounced on again when he's home from work!! Grin Better not be playing the tired card today!!! Anyways glad my posts are making a few of you laugh!!!

Mrs1986 · 03/07/2015 14:25

pretend G&T is something I can definitely do on less formal occasions. I've also used the excuse this lunchtime that I am feeling a bit headachey!

This morning I got a massive pang of fear/realisation that my entire life is going to be tipped upside down and I can't describe the feeling better than "absolutely shitting myself". I also feel incredibly emotional but that might be that my best friend is getting married tomorrow or it might be that this is starting to hit home!?

Love the waking him up- I hope you did it nicely? ;-)

Omg, I've missed so much!

violet, I totally agree on the mindset...it is only natural that it would become such a burdon of it was all you were thinking about and if that thinking was negative and heavy. Of course it hurts with a bfn, but as you say, in the other 3 weeks, do try to keep your chin up Smile.

mrs, little bean won't notice the odd drop of wine...hope you've had a lovely time away!

duck, you sound so strong!! Can you bottle that strength and distribute, please??!!

nicky sorry that you're still waiting for some form of cycle.... 6 weeks doesn't sound out of the ordinary to me...frustrating though it must be.

FX for July...and lots of April babies!

VioletIbiza88 · 03/07/2015 21:03

Fingers crossed for you Violet

I've got my best friend's wedding today. I absolutely can't wait. Have to get out of bed soon to go and do some pretend champagne drinking. All of this pretending is rubbish, but tomorrow it'll all be over and I can go home and be normal and stop hiding my folic acid in a shoe! Haha

VioletIbiza88 · 04/07/2015 10:58

Mrs folic acid in a shoe lol! That can't be comfy!! Hope the pretend hangover isn't too bad with all this pretend drinking!!

nickynackynoo31 · 05/07/2015 21:52

aw duck...hope it stops soon for you hunny. I'm not sure with opks Confused I usually just get some from body care shop or somewhere cheap but I'm thinking same I could do with bulk buying as I don't know either. grrrrrrr. x

inmyshoos · 05/07/2015 22:29

duck I buy opks from Homebargains. Think the are 2.99 for 5. They have been reliable for me.

violet you NEED to start doing your temperature! Honestly it saves any confusion. I had positive opks but then still felt swollen around my ovary, ovulation pain and ewcm when opk was showing neg. That was the Sunday night, monday morning my temp was still low so i was pretty sure i hadnt ovulated. Had a bit of a panic thinking shit maybe i was gearing up to ov but then it just didnt pop but then Tuesday morning I had my temp rise and my ewcm dried up instantly. Temp with opk is the way to go! I don't even chart it, I just take temp and it is pretty easy to see your lows and highs.

duck try and resist using a tampon. They are not recommended for use during mc. Hopefully if it is turning brown it is almost over. Take care of yourself Flowers And as I was saying before Temp!! But a thermometer. It is the only thing that will actually confirm ovulation.

inmyshoos · 05/07/2015 22:33

Oh and violet OF COURSE i have symptoms!! I need to pee by 6am each morning, my boobs are sore, i look about 5 mnths already, my sense of smell has gone crazy and I am knackered. Grin

VioletIbiza88 · 06/07/2015 10:43

shoos I know I need to temp! I even bought a thermometer and then by the second day of using it it needed a new battery. I will google where to find it a new battery, pretty sure it wouldn't just take normal batteries... So what CD's were your positive opk's and then what CD day do you think you actually did ov. OH is getting fed up of the daily BD now, so think the last try will be tonight Sad I hope that's enough - positive opk's started Thursday!!

Ha ha for crazy symptom spotting, had my first ridiculously too early "symptom" yesterday. We were walking the dog back from the field past some houses and I said to OH "Someone is eating something chocolate orange flavoured!!" He couldn't smell a thing, but clear as day this really strong smell of maybe a chocolate orange cookie was in the air!!

Duck The ones i've bought this time are one step ones £2.95 for 20 from SME fertility on amazon. Not sure I recommend them as had four days of positives and counting, but there could be nothing wrong with them that could just be my body! Previous cycle i bought the ones from One Step themselves.

VioletIbiza88 · 06/07/2015 13:54

OPK's were finally negative today! So hopefully that means that having our last try tonight shouldn't reduce our chances for this month. There was still a strongish second line but not equal to or stronger than the control line.

Shoos you definitely sound like you are prego from those symptoms! I'm not a fan of the unbelievable improvement to my sense of smell. Everyone on the train I'm currently on is in desperate need of a wash and some deodorant!! It's making me feel pukey!!
Note to self- invent some sort of rose smelling nose cover and pitch product to mothercare!
