Sparkly ^^

So great to see you on here. How are you feeling? Grin

Sparkly123 · 30/05/2015 20:22

Pixa ! Ok thanks. How's you? Have you been to Einaudi yet?!? How's Mr Grey?! Hope you are ok lovely Flowers

Pixa · 30/05/2015 20:34

We are both good, thank you. I joked about him being Mr Grey earlier. Grin TTC feels like it's going to be a longer slog than we thought; DH has a SA booked in and doctors have agreed that we will undergo further tests in August if nothing has happened by then. It's all rather positive to have an action plan. Smile No Einaudi yet, it's at the end of June, so four weeks or so. Really excited! Thanks for asking.

What's been going on with you? You've been very missed. Are you feeling much better?

Sparkly123 · 30/05/2015 20:41

Pixa Oooh bet you can't wait!! I want to come!! I'm ok, still struggling but there are glimmers of easier days instead of so many bad ones so that's a step forward! Ok, well that's good news though that a plan is in place.. You have to keep focused that it will happen before! I have the faith for you lovely! And the SA is a good box to get ticked too!! I have everything crossed for you. Keep going keep going StarFlowersStar

Mummyofonesofar · 30/05/2015 20:47

SPARKLES!!! Huge unmumsnetty hugs! How are you?

What is epo, anyone?

Sparkly123 · 30/05/2015 21:00

ibeka !! How are you lovely???? Evening primrose I think unless I'm so behind the times now I've been absent!?

Mummyofonesofar · 30/05/2015 21:00

Today has been a much better day than the rest. Including a very funny chat with ds. He understands boys have seeds in their nuts and girls have eggs and you need both things to make a baby. But he hasn't thought as far as wondering how the seed meets the egg. He was asking today when I might start trying to get pregnant again. I said straight away. And he said - could it happen anytime, anywhere? I asked what he meant. He said "can you get pregnant outside as well as inside, like in a shop, in the street or in the car?" I answered honestly and said "yes technically you can but I would rather get pregnant at home." Whilst trying to hold back laughter, he seemed happy enough!

Mummyofonesofar · 30/05/2015 21:01

Yes - evening primrose oil. Which is a tablet - not in oil form. Which used to confuse me!

Sparkly123 · 30/05/2015 21:03

Awww mummy ! Isn't your little one so wonderful!!! Great that he brightens up your day. Love those questions! So glad you had a better day. I guess naturally you will have more difficult days than others. But now you feel you want to move forward and try again I'm sure having the focus on doing so will help channel your mind positively. Flowers

Mummyofonesofar · 30/05/2015 21:08

Yesterday I didn't want to see anyone or even think about work but today I'm thinking maybe I'll go back Tuesday. A day with DS was great, reminded me that the end product is more than worth the heartache. I do feel more focussed now on getting my baby and more positive that it will happen again. Only had one cry today too. And even managed to go to MIL for her BBQ and not want to kill her/anyone. Though I did stay in a corner and mostly talked to the kids but it's progress! I'm sorry you've been so poorly but fx you start getting a bit more energy soon.

Sparkly123 · 30/05/2015 21:11

Fantastic to hearmummy . You are so right. You are absolutely going to get there again, and it could be much sooner than you think. You just need to keep the faith. Getting out will have done you some good too. A BBQ in the sun is always a nice day! It's been a nice sunny day here today too but to be horrible tomorrow. Supposedly a heat wave next week. We shall see! Hope you will feel ok for Tuesday, but do what you can and give yourself time you need Flowers

Pixa · 30/05/2015 21:14

Oh, Sparkly, I am so very pleased that you are having some easier days. I really hope the easier days come along more often for you. Come to Einaudi. I am having a bumsnet party in my hot-tub if there is enough room for everyone too.

Thanks, the SA is quite a big one for us. You may have missed it, but a few weeks ago we had a discussion about the fact that DH has had two sets of surgeries on his testis. The conversation was like a huge weighted veil had been lifted. Apparently, the type of surgery is questioned as standard when you go through the referral to the fertility clinic. There are clear links between the surgery and infertility, but only correlation and not direct causation in every case. With that in mind, doctor were keen to get the test done ASAP. DH has been as sweet as ever. He has been researching which vitamins are best for improving sperm quality. He has been so proactive throughout this whole journey; it makes me realise, even more so, what an amazing father he will be. CHEESE

Sorry for rambling! Smile

Sparkly123 · 30/05/2015 21:21

Pixa eh hi. I could have told you that. Mr Grey really is kinda perfect you know?! Ha. Ok, so that's a really good thing then that they are going to do SA to check this. Let's hope that the surgery hasn't caused any issues but at least you will know the situation once you have had it done. Good being proactive!!!! I hope you get the app through soon!! A Bumsnet party?! In a hot tub?! I'm there!!! Grin

Mummyofonesofar · 30/05/2015 21:23

It was cold and grey here today. But in Cumbria you can't wait for a sunny day! It didn't rain - that meant it was a nice day lol.

Sparkly123 · 30/05/2015 21:24

Mummy I live in Scotland lovely. I hear you!! Wink

TwinkleStars15 · 30/05/2015 21:27

DH called the GP back earlier and asked to speak to the doctor. He said that his sperm count is zero Sad I'm gutted/devastated/hopeful/worried etc. Is our journey ttc over?

Mummyofonesofar · 30/05/2015 21:32

twinkle I am so so sorry. I hope the GP can explain what can be done and what the next steps are for you. I have no knowledge of SA or counts or anything. I hope someone pops along soon with an inspiring story for you xx

Pixa · 30/05/2015 21:34

Twinkle I am very sorry. Sad Flowers I have no knowledge or advice but hopefully the doctors will give better answers soon.

Mummyofonesofar · 30/05/2015 21:37

On a quick google he could have a blockage which means no sperm can get into the ejaculate but that he could have healthy sperm desperate to get out and surgery could possibly fix that...

purdiepie · 30/05/2015 21:39

Twinkle, you would need to know whether he is making sperm that cannot get from the epididymis and up and out through the urethra, or whether he simply doesn't make sperm. If it's the former he can have TESE which is an operation to extract the sperm from his balls. If he doesn't make sperm at all it would have to be donor. Either way you will require IVF and have a super chance of making a baby.

Sparkly123 · 30/05/2015 21:40

Hi Twinkle I'm not sure we have met before. I just wanted to say im sorry to hear your news. Did the GP not give further information as to what this means moving forward? Try to stay as calm as you can until you have the facts.. Which I know is probably a crazy suggestion right now. But just want to send my positive thoughts to you. I hope so much there is a way round this Flowers
