Fififolle, Beaumaris looks fantastic, you will have a great time! Love your packing list. Can just envisage you all snuggled up with your magazines and biscuits in front of a nice fire. When do you go? The log cabin is just outside of York.

Nomio I am trying desperately to hold off, but with AF BFP due on Sunday, if I get a high temp tomorrow and if Night isn't here to talk me out of it, I will probably POAS. I doubt it will show anything at 10dpo though! Stupid short luteal phase. It's a bit weird thinking that if I get a bfp tomorrow, I won't be supping champagne in the hot tub on holidays. I might just be dipping my legs in! ha ha.

I have no clue about the hot water bottle, sorry!

fififolle · 29/05/2015 21:32

Nomio 37 is the new 30! Most certainly not haggard Wink.
Thank you, we're really looking forward to it, we went to the same cottage last year. Sorry, I don't have a clue about your hot water bottle question.

Pixa · 29/05/2015 21:34

Quick Google suggests hot water bottle wrapped in a towel for pregnant women.

Mummyofonesofar · 29/05/2015 21:35

Nomio even when pregnant they are safe as the baby is so well cushioned and the hot water bottle wouldn't raise your core temp which is the reason you can't have hot bath. Later in pregnancy when they are closer to your skin I would have it wrapped up to ensure your skin doesn't get pink. But I would use away! Plus better for tww than pumping yourself full of paracetamol.

fififolle · 29/05/2015 21:36

Pixa we're off tomorrow. I love York, such a beautiful city with plenty of decent shopping too.

Mummyofonesofar · 29/05/2015 21:39

Sorry x posts! Got sidetracked. DP actually named 2 emotions! He wouldn't just discuss things so I asked him to in two words explain how he feels. "Confused & helpless". It actually sparked a conversation about those 2 feelings.

Very jealous of your breaks Pixa & fifi. I wish DP would take me away. Could do with something to look forward to.

Nomio230 · 29/05/2015 21:44

Thanks, Mummy. I hadn't realised it was to do with core temperature rather than heat. That makes sense now.

How are you feeling today?

Fifi, does that mean I can tell people I am only 30? Grin

Pixa, I know a lot of people don't show anything that early, but I tested at 10DPO when I got my BFP & got really strong positives. I have my fingers crossed for you.

fififolle · 29/05/2015 21:54

Of course Nomio! 30 with a bit more life experience Wink.

Woolly84 · 29/05/2015 21:58

fifi your cottage break sounds perfect! Have an amazing time Smile

pixa I should be encouraging you but the impatient part of me wants you to POAS bad influence

Woolly84 · 29/05/2015 21:59

shouldn't be encouraging you I mean! Shock

DizzyMerry · 29/05/2015 22:04

Happy Birthday pug FlowersCake

Nomio I do agree with you as my temps are erratic this cycle Sad

Hot water bottles are fine to use in pregnancy as mummy baby is well cushioned to be adversely affected by it.

Envy at the log cabin and cottage breaks. Just what I need right now.

Mummyofonesofar · 29/05/2015 22:09

Nomio I am a bit numb today and realised I look like crap. Very tired but nearly all cried out. Had a lovely walk and even laughed with my friend a couple times which was nice. Thanks for asking x

Nomio230 · 29/05/2015 22:16

I am pleased you are still managing to carry on, Mummy. I hope in a few months all this will seem like a bad dream. I think you are being amazingly strong. Flowers

Dizzy, don't give up hope yet. You might have strange temps for some other reason. There could still be a bean in there!

frogbubbles · 29/05/2015 23:41

Evening lovelies, hope everyone is ok and in weekend mode Smile

Thank you Nom, Dizzy, Boris, Mummy, Fifi & Wooly. Honestly you girls get me through some tough times. I'm not sure where I would be without the help and support from you. I really really don't. Smile

Dizzy & Ibeka, thank you girls I am feeling much better today. Trying to keep positive, had a lovely family evening at theatre, cinema tomorrow and fx if the weathers nice I'll be down on the allotment on Sunday. New mantra: keep going, you'll get there eventually.

Fx to sammy, pixa and night!!! Are you all testing Sunday? Or have I read that wrong?

Mummy so much advice, support here I'm not sure what I can add, other than here for you if you need anything. I loved the pics of your walk very pretty. I hope you are taking it easy and being kind to yourself x

Happy Birthday Pug!! Have a super time where are you off to?

Pixa · 30/05/2015 06:10

I am declaring myself as out. Temp drop after disturbed sleep and BFN.

Night & Sammy, I am still rooting for you!

Augusthomotherium · 30/05/2015 06:21

Oh I missed a birthday! Flowers for pug!

Augusthomotherium · 30/05/2015 06:29

Thanks guys for thoughts!
Yes ibeka same time as predicted from last cycle at 8dpo but had hoped it would not due to prog. As it happens it isn't full AF, which is why I'm really confused.
queen I think really hard about them just grab them from thin air as they appear in front of me. I like homotheria and a homotherium, being extinct and all, with an august expression seemed about right for this month's cycle name. Hmm
mummy yes! Grin

nightandthelight · 30/05/2015 06:48

Happy birthday pug!

So sorry pixa :( I am also out as temp has plummeted and is same as it was at 12dpo last cycle so AF is on her way. Switching off my TTC brain now and focusing 100% on fostering :)

Have the in laws here so haven't had a chance to catch up with everything but I get the imprression that pixa and fi have some nice holidays booked so enjoy girls Grin

megarobotdiscoparty · 30/05/2015 06:55

I'm sorry Pixa Flowers - have you got a nice weekend planned to take your mind off everything?

AF or whatever it was has been pretty much stopped for over 24 hours now. Absolutely mystified. Guess if no other signs of AF proper I'll start back on the OPKs next weekend. Feeling very limbo-y.

megarobotdiscoparty · 30/05/2015 06:57

X post night so sorry about your temp Sad Join me at the back of the bus? I've got chocolate biscuits...

Pixa · 30/05/2015 06:57

Night, so sorry to hear that. Flowers Why do our bodies give us false hope? I really hope you're okay. Flowers Yay for fostering!

I am coping well this time - DH isn't. He refuses to believe we are out, "But, it's too early to test, isn't it? And you were moving all night and waking up, so won't that change your temperature?". I don't know if he just doesn't want to accept it this time because he has his SA in a couple of weeks.

In the mean time though, we do have a lovely holiday planned. Grin After this week, I plan on giving up refined sugar. It will be interesting. Smile

Pixa · 30/05/2015 07:00

Robot sorry for limbo. Hopefully if you're back on OPKs next weekend that will help to clear things up.

Night, just remembering some lovely Sparkly advice... We are one step closer to getting our BFPs. We really are! We get closer each day. It will happen. Smile

purdiepie · 30/05/2015 07:43

Boris, you asked about early ovulation and conception chances. I found this, and I would encourage you, and others with ovulation occurring before CD12, to try soy isoflavones:

Q: IS EARLY OVULATION A PROBLEM?

A: It's possible to get pregnant if you regularly ovulate early in the menstrual cycle, it happens all the time. But when you ovulate that early, your chances of getting pregnant are reduced because:

  1. With too-early ovulation you may be releasing eggs that have not matured properly. Improperly matured eggs are not as good for fertilization and implantation compared with eggs that have matured properly.
  2. The reproductive system (hormone levels) is not in sync when eggs mature early, thus further decreasing the chance of pregnancy.
  3. The lining of the uterus, the endometrium, may not be ready for implantation when not enough time has passed since the last menstrual period. The egg may have become fertilized but the blastocyst (the fertilized egg) arrives in the uterus and cannot implant properly because the lining is insufficiently thick.'
fififolle · 30/05/2015 07:44

Night sorry to hear about the temperature drop.
Pixa what a shame, sorry to hear about the BFN. I love the quote from Sparkly. Enjoy drinking wine in the hot tub.
Mega good to hear that AF has been evicted. It is a confusing time- perhaps a good excuse for wine and fun sex (as opposed to timetabled TTC sex!).
Happy birthday Pug.
Hugs Mummy.
Frog you'll get there, I'm sure of it. The journey may be really tough, but you'll come out even stronger, with a beautiful baby.

loopylou1984 · 30/05/2015 07:45

I'm out too girls, I took the temp an hour early as woke up for the loo, but can't ignore this temp dip and these cramps. Xx
