Oh nomio I hope DH sa results are ok. Please don't think of yourself as defective, you'll get your bfp.

queen commuting from out here can be grim. And expensive. Sorry you are feeling ill still. Hope your doctors can do something.

Mummyofonesofar · 28/05/2015 19:23

Hugs to Nomio & ibeka you will get your sticky BFPs x

lucieloos · 28/05/2015 19:32

Night, just wanted to say thanks for the info on fostering! It's a brilliant thing you are doing. Keep us posted with how you get on.

megarobotdiscoparty · 28/05/2015 20:06

nomio well if you're defective so am I my dear! Wear it as a badge of honour and have no fear - if I can get a BFP with my skronky ovaries then so can you. plus defective is really a byword for awesome ballsy ladies who just don't quit

sammy that's jaw dropping. We're paying about £1,000 for 3 cycles of clomid and due for the IVF list after that. Not sure we can afford it but I imagine when the time comes we will beg borrow and steal too! Aside from the astronomical cost, is it starting to feel real/exciting/nerve wracking now? You're so close to getting underway!

Just in case anyone was interested and not currently eating dinner, I'd just like you all to know I'm at a previously unexplored phase of AF called "stuff left over after you drain your garden pond". WTF cycle, it has been a delight, but I can't wait til you completely WTF off!

megarobotdiscoparty · 28/05/2015 20:10

ibeka how are you feeling tonight? I hope you're ok.

purdiepie · 28/05/2015 20:11

Boris, well done you, you won't regret it.
Queen, you sound rotten and so miserable Thanks

loopylou1984 · 28/05/2015 20:13

Thanks Mega (and welcome by the way, I don't think I said it before!), I don't think it it will seem real until we have our appointment at the end of June. At the moment I'm kind of pretending it's not happening!

It is exciting, but I'm so terrified that it won't work and so disappointed that I need it that I forget about the exciting part... Does that make any sense? Xx

purdiepie · 28/05/2015 20:16

Sammy, it's a terrific amount of money but you'd only regret not chucking the kitchen sink at it.

Robot, your witty posts crack me up. Can you tell us more about yourself and your life? Have you ever been to prison or met Timmy Mallet?

loopylou1984 · 28/05/2015 20:30

I know Purds. The consultant said he wouldn't advise the embryoscope the same way he would for an older lady... But if I didn't use it and it failed, I'd always think what if. How are you today? Had your news sunk in? Xx

purdiepie · 28/05/2015 20:32

I'm good thanks Sammy x

Pixa · 28/05/2015 20:41

Did you get your results today Purdie? If you don't want to talk about it on this thread, feel free to PM me. I hope all is well for you. Smile

Nomio230 · 28/05/2015 20:41

Thanks for all your kind words.

Robot, want to start a 'defective yet awesome' club?!

Mummy, you will definitely get your sticky bean before you know it. Cake

Sammy, it is expensive, but will be worth every penny once you have that baby. I think you are right to go for all the extras too. Just throw everything at it. You will get there. Flowers

We have DHs results, and I think everything looks good, except the morphology, but not sure. Dr Purdie, or any other sperm experts, any thoughts?

DH was getting over a cold and fighting a cough at the time. Could that have affected his morphology result?

Volume (ml) 3.60
PH 8.5
Concentration (Mml-1) 110.00
Total count (M per ejaculate) 396.00
Motility (%)

A) 48.0
B) 5.0
C) 15.0
D) 32.0
Normal morphology (%) 3.00
Round cells (Mml-1)

megarobotdiscoparty · 28/05/2015 20:50

purdie I wish either of those things were true! I can't think of any interesting life experiences. Will embarrassing do? My childhood crush was MacGyver... Also I have mild face blindness and spent the whole of LA Confidential thinking Russell Crowe and Kevin Spacey were the same person (they were wearing HATS it was so hard to TELL)... I hope you're ok if you got results today...if not do let us know when.

nomio I'm making the capes as we speak. We need capes, right??

Nomio230 · 28/05/2015 20:58

Robot, we so need capes! Good work. Grin Want me to look for some kickass boots?

Prosopagnosia has always fascinated me, (partly because it is such a cool word!) I actually did a project on it a couple of years ago at Uni.

chopsface · 28/05/2015 21:01

nomio dh's cold will affect the sperm that comes out in 3 months time not at the time. The morphology is a tad low, normal range is over 4%.My dh's ranged from 2%-6% over 12 months and 4 tests! I don't really understand the way they've worded the other things, why's motility got A-D? If its 48% that's good, they like the 50% mark. From my dh's count it said it was so many million. Wish they'd write it all down the same Confused what did the doc say?

Mummyofonesofar · 28/05/2015 21:02

Not sure about a defective group but definitely up for a not giving up group. Especially if there are sexy boots & awesome capes!!

Pixa · 28/05/2015 21:04

I can sew capes. Do we want Bumsnet logos on them? Grin

Nomio230 · 28/05/2015 21:06

Join us, Mummy!

Thank you, Chops. I am confused by the motility thing too. Everything I have looked at online just gives one or two figures, so I am not sure what it all relates to. DH hasn't seen the Dr about his results yet, we just got a printout of them.

Nomio230 · 28/05/2015 21:07

Definitely, Pixa!

megarobotdiscoparty · 28/05/2015 21:08

Ahhh that's so cool nomio! I've never had a formal diagnosis but my mum's just the same. Has got us both into all sorts of awkward situations and my job's quite network-y so it can be a challenge. What was your project looking at?

megarobotdiscoparty · 28/05/2015 21:09

Bumsnet capes and boots for all!

and sperm-shooting rayguns

megarobotdiscoparty · 28/05/2015 21:10

meaning ray guns that shoot sperm out of them, not ray guns that shoot at sperm, that would be silly

Mummyofonesofar · 28/05/2015 21:12

Mega you're funny! Grin

Woolly84 · 28/05/2015 21:13

mega I hope the wtf cycle effs off soon!

queen you poor thing, still feeling unwell? Hope you're resting up tonight Flowers

dizzym did you do an OPK?

purdie when do you find out hcg result- tomo?

nomio yay for the SA results being good! Smile

sammy it will all be worth it, exciting times x

I'm definitely cd1 today, totes ready to go for Cycle 6 now, or as I'm calling it, Cycle Sex, as DH and I are going to try and beat the 5 days in a row non TTC shagathon Grin

Nomio230 · 28/05/2015 21:14

I can imagine, Robot! I think DH might have it slightly. He often gets confused when we are watching TV or films if two people look similar, or have the same hairstyle.

My project was mostly an overview of the condition & looking at the idea that a lot of people don't even realise they have it.
