Fridge so sorry to hear! Sad

That sounds pretty awful. Especially the arm! Will you go to docs?

Reni I am social science related geekery in academia. (Not real science like yours Smile)

reni1 · 15/07/2015 01:15

How rubbish to be in pain and miss a month, fridge, hope you get better quickly.

I'll miss August, dh and I won't be in the same place at the important time.

reni1 · 15/07/2015 01:22

Ovulated yet, flourishing? Oh and really, you'll be even better at handling data then, we could come up with some brilliant graphs correlating ovulation with moon phases or geopolitical events. I'm sure there's a publication in a b rated journal in there somewhere.

FlourishingMrs · 15/07/2015 21:42

I am well and ovulating just got a positive opk solid smiley, in hotel room, going taking DP to the cricket. DTD this morning and I am sure we will DTD again tonight or should we do it in the morning?

I have been asked many things in my life, but never are you ovulating. I love Mumsnet and TTC love you Reni.

Will check temp in the morning.

so sorry Fridge, Day 12 you are still in the a chance, I have only got my positive LH on day 14 meaning I will ovulate within the next 2 days. Don't give up.

Ha, flourishing you are right of course. On the other hand, the phrase "cervical mucus" has never been uttered by me in RL, I will however quite happily tell you all about mine on this public forum if you like Grin . I think TTC would have driven me mad without all of you here on mn.

FlourishingMrs · 16/07/2015 12:25

Oh dear Reni, well Alpha male could not finish last night (funny how the cannot manage twice daily when you want them to. Anyway Mrs sets the alarm for 3Am to give the alpha make a break for 4 hours. alarm goes off, Mrs is furious because she struggled to sleep after the un juciuful attempt of the night, the fact that she set the alarm seems immaterial in this situation.

Alpha male is not turned on by the alarm either so no joy. Anyhow 8Am despite the risk of turning up late to the cricket (lords) big trip for DP and I of course. The fact that I only come to London because of my ovulation being perfectly in sink with the first day of the test match does not In any way suggest I am TCC obsessed (I love my DP or his swimmers?)

Back to the point, he delivered ample juice, but was not pleased when I just lay in bed when we needed to leave the hotel by 8am. Thought 45 minutes should get enough swimmers in there, but only managed 25 minutes of lying down before shower.

I was so stressed in the shower, trying to figure out how I could pick up any swimmers that could be in my shower water.

DP is off to buy drinks, we are at lords, I have to put the phone away. But I need temping guidance.

Here ids here got to go

FlourishingMrs · 16/07/2015 14:54

Meant to say, he is here, I have to go. Anyway, what do I do with my temperature logs? I have been using an app called glow. Not very informative.

How do I know when I have actually ovulated after positive OPK.

OP posts:
reni1 · 16/07/2015 17:41

Buy a digital basal thermometer (shouldn't be much more than a fiver on amazon), measure temp under tongue in the morning before getting out of bed, same time every day. Log it with an app, I use fertility friend, basic membership is free, you can log all sorts of other things, opk, cm etc.

ReallyNotAMorningPerson · 16/07/2015 20:02

Reni I am all about the B grade journals! Grin

I'm drawing up the proposal for our geopolitics/TTC study as I write. This publication could be the making of us!

ReallyNotAMorningPerson · 16/07/2015 20:04

Flourishing I admire your military-precision level planning. I don't do the lying down for ages thing afterwards - maybe I should. No wonder I'm not getting pregnant!

I can also safely say I've never uttered the word 'cervical mucus' out loud either Grin

Thank god for MN - hear hear Wine

reni1 · 17/07/2015 00:57

Yes, full marks for dtd effort, flourishing. We've floundered a bit with our EOD after ovulation. #definitelynolonger25yo

How are you feeling, fridge, a bit better I hope?

Really, we already have a study population on the ttc board, the data is in the public domain, should be a quick write up. How to filter for truth... half of us could be middle aged blokes having a laugh Hmm .

ReallyNotAMorningPerson · 17/07/2015 09:27

Oh yes reni, loads of rigour and validity issues! Grin

Yes fridge how is the arm?

Today is CD14 for me and I'm going to see am acupuncturist!

ridiculously expensive don't even ask

ReallyNotAMorningPerson · 17/07/2015 09:28

An acupuncturist. Bloody iPhone.

FlourishingMrs · 17/07/2015 21:19

Really, does acupuncture help with implatation? Was too tired for DTD this morning so if I ovulated let, we missed the egg.

Oh gosh this is too hard, what are your thoughts on wine in the TWW?

OP posts:
reni1 · 17/07/2015 21:56

Flourishing the swimmers are on there and good for 72h. Egg is flooded, don't worry.

reni1 · 17/07/2015 21:58

In there not on there. Wine is fine. Drink til it's pink then sober til it's over.

ReallyNotAMorningPerson · 18/07/2015 08:18

Flourishing they say (whoever they are) that's it's good for all sorts of things fertility related (no idea if it works, and best not ask for the scientific evidence).

I am going in an act of faith desperation to help with my spotting and short luteal phase.

I've been a couple of times and it is incredibly relaxing, which is good in itself I guess - I actually felt giddy/a bit drunk after the first session.

No idea if it does anything apart from relaxation though and I'll knock it on the head soon as it's expensive.

Reni love that maxim Smile

I drank wine last night at a dinner party on CD 14 as I thought it might be antisocial to the hosts not to people pleaser.

FlourishingMrs · 18/07/2015 10:23

I love you ladies, you are so on it. Drink still it's pink.., my new Mantra. Really, I will look up acupuncture in my area.

I just realised that this month I got positive opk on day 14, this means I ovulated on day 15-16 which is great because usually it's day 18. I have been taking seven seas TTC supplement

OP posts:
reni1 · 18/07/2015 12:48

Declaration: "drink til it's pink then sober til it's over" is not my saying, read it somewhere, probably mn by the sound of it.

ReallyNotAMorningPerson · 18/07/2015 13:15

Okay ladies, you'd be proud. We've managed to DTD twice, two days running. Hoping we can manage tomorrow and the day after too.

Flourishing I'm on Boots Conception. I started off on those Zita West ones but that would've required a remortgage to continue popping those daily.

FlourishingMrs · 18/07/2015 20:12

Really! I am so proud of you, welldone. trouble in the Florshing Household DP seems to think this one twice daily will continue past ovulation. The lady of the house thinks otherwise. Managed this morning 2DPO

OP posts:
FlourishingMrs · 18/07/2015 20:14

Reni1, I don't care where you got it, you are a star in my mind
