Haha it's a bit too close to your camera lol

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 10/08/2015 20:19

Does Mr Imps know yet?

Imps9 · 10/08/2015 20:21

Yes I text him - he was sat on a plane just about to take off for Austria and I figured he needed to know ASAP. His response made me smile: "That's nice. When are you supposed to start testing?". That's nice?!?!

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 10/08/2015 20:24

Men are just so on another planet at times lol. Nice?! Getting a BFP is way more than nice.....

He should at least be doing 100 back flips at check in and 100 cartwheels as he goes through departures!!!!

Imps9 · 10/08/2015 20:27

Not sure if it's better than his reaction to my BFP last year which was "Wow. When was your last period?" Grin

keepitgoing · 10/08/2015 22:10

'nice'?? 'NICE'?? an ivf bfp after trying for too-many years is 'NICE'???!!! it's absolutely fucking fantastic mrimps!

lucky you've got brookers here to show a bit of excitement Wink
brooking for a good strong line for you in the morning, my lovely x

Imps9 · 10/08/2015 22:17

Bless him, I just spoke to him - turned out he didn't know what I meant when I said I had a very faint positive!!! Grin

Imps9 · 10/08/2015 22:18

Though I've done my best not to get his hopes up - am feeling very very AF-y at the moment.

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 11/08/2015 05:21

Wow Imps!!! I can see the line! I'm keeping everything crossed this is it. Yay on getting to blastocyst. I've just been having a good read back. IVF is so hard, I can't believe how well you have handled all this ttc shit. I wanted to give you a big hug reading your posts. Can't wait for your next PIAR update xxx

Keep im gutted to hear the FET didn't work. Of course you are lucky to have the gorgeous Kip but it doesn't make it any less disappointing for you. Really hope the next frostie is the one. I think it can take a good few days for AF to arrive after stopping progesterone. For me I started AF both unsuccessful times before even stopping the evil bum bullets

Beedle I would defo see if you could try the scratch. It can't do any harm and so many people swear by it. Hope it's not too painful dealing with your work colleague. It's so hard when it's someone you work closely with. Glad to hear you've had a lovely few weeks off

Loopy fingers crossed your consultant is willing to try the pred next time

Hinky fab scan news, glad to hear everything is ok Smile

It won't be long before the next load of Brooking babies arrive! Hope you are doing ok Far.

Sorry I've not been around much. I'm struggling to get on the internet much as I no longer have a tablet, don't have a computer and my phone is playing up! I have to wait for DH to get home most nights to get my internet fix!! I've just ordered a kindle fire though so hopefully that will do the job. I've been trying to read the thread every now and then but never seem to have DH's iPad/phone long enough to post. I'm on baby duty now so have nabbed his phone Smile

Imps9 · 11/08/2015 06:21

Cups!!!!! Lovely to see you. How is your lovely son? Keeping you on your toes I bet. Thanks for your kind word - IVF is a challenge but worth it when it works.

As for that, a BFN for me this morning. Hurrumph and arses - knew it was too good to be true.

Imps9 · 11/08/2015 06:41

Weeeeellllll that said, there is another very faint line.

Right Imps step away from the peesticks until lunchtime Saturday. Scrutinising them will make no difference to whether you're up the duff or not.

Imps9 · 11/08/2015 07:00

Good advice Imps. You're so wise.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 11/08/2015 07:22

I'm so sorry I haven't been around brookers, stupid arsing mumsnet has refused me entry Angry

Keep lovely, I'm so so sorry. The next embie is the one. IVF messes with your head so much. I could never understand before I had A how people got so upset when having difficulties TTC when they already had kids. Now I totally get it. I think it's a very primal thing. How did MrK feel?

Imps, I totally see your line!!! Brooking my arse off that this is it for you lovely Flowers

Cups, it's so lovely to see you. How is Z?

keepitgoing · 11/08/2015 08:24

imps listen to imps and stay away from the pee sticks! so pleased the line is still there keep testing, how can you not...

cups! I was thinking of you the other day so looked at your fb pics, how's it all going? z is gorgeous and omg the spitting image of you! they certainly didn't mix up those embryos Wink

maybe thank you. we are both OK really. it's not the same as last time round tbh, the natural fet was v uninvasive, also I already have S, I don't have the same desperation and if we only ever have her I am so happy. plus I know it can work, it may just take a while. I am dreading another round of real ivf though, as the fet you can sort of pretend it's not happening. I'm not that hopeful for the next round, so adding we'll be hitting the drugs again big time

loopy get shagging! are you taking the clomid this month?

thank you all for your kind words. imps bfp is the deserved one though, I will happily be on the wrong side of the odds, but thank you for being here
I have to call the clinic this morning Sad

Imps9 · 11/08/2015 08:32

Can you email them Keep? I did with my bfn last cycle. Easier than speaking to someone.

Imps9 · 11/08/2015 08:42

Why aren't you hopeful for the next round Keep? A specific reason or natural IVF defences coming into play?

keepitgoing · 11/08/2015 09:05

I suppose because one frosty didn't defrost this time I'm thinking I may not even get to ET. I just assumed one of our three would work, since s was first time. but I was a fool and certainly do not think that now

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 11/08/2015 09:10

also assuming they've defrosted the best ones first

OP posts:
Imps9 · 11/08/2015 09:30

Would they have frozen the blastos if they didn't have a good chance of defrosting though? Usually they only freeze the top grade ones?

Brooking brooking brooking. It's all we can do.

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 11/08/2015 12:08

Eeek! I'm keeping everything crossed Imps Grin how many dp5dt are you? What date was trigger? Do you know how many units you had? Was it 5000?

Keep hopefully the embryos are good quality seeing as the froze them. They must be a good batch as you got your gorgeous S from them! I know what you mean though, now I've got Z I don't think I will do IVF again. If I had frosties it would be different

Maybe what did you do to have MN not let you in??! How is A? Are you still thinking of FET? Am I right in thinking you have a lot of frosties? I've got 9 in my head for some reason!

Z is doing great, I'm breastfeeding and he is a v greedy boy. He's 7 weeks and a lot of his 0-3 clothes are getting tight! He has reflux so is a bit of a rubbish sleeper but he's super cute so I'm letting that go Wink he loves being sung to and really smiles at us. I'm still feeling incredibly lucky, I would love to have another one day but know that's very unlikely. DH would not do IVF again and I know that our chances would be fairly low so it probably wouldn't be worth the heartache

keepitgoing · 11/08/2015 12:22

ah cups it's early days so you may well think differently about ivf in a year or two. it's hard but look how it's worth it! so glad z is doing well, keep eating cake Smile

pah, who knows how the Thai grade things

so I have another consent appointment though we'd been told we wouldn't need one, and I'm unclear if we can go this cycle, I think so though. but as I'm going abroad to visit my sister the timings may mean we can't grr

OP posts:
Imps9 · 11/08/2015 13:39

Am 6dp5dt Cups. No idea about trigger units Confused

Glad Z is eating so well, that must make life a bit easier. Am sure it must be difficult to think about the possibility of going through IVF again should you want a sibling for Z, but I guess you have a while to discuss it. How would you feel about it?

Keep what's a consent appointment? Surely you're all booked in and ready to go now, having already had an FET??

Just called the clinic as I appear to have come out in hives all over my thighs. I read that that can be a side effect of progesterone so I don't think it's something to be concerned about, but it's worth checking.

hinkyhonk · 11/08/2015 13:46

Hope it's not itchy imps and I got bfn or really faint lines until I was 14dpo which by my crap calls means you are testing pretty early? It's all pretty tough though so test away but don't get disheartened.

Imps9 · 11/08/2015 13:52

Oh yes, it's definitely too early to be testing, but since when has that ever stopped me! It's fine, I'll be down if it doesn't work but I've survived it before so I can survive it again.

How's bump? So glad the 24 week scan went well. When's the next one?

keepitgoing · 11/08/2015 15:01

imps I know, silly hey! I think I just have to consent to the procedure again. it will be quick. don't know why I can't do it at same time as scan...
