Are you sick to the tits of baby-making sex? Or are you squelching with rabid lust when the lickle hand strikes cock o' clock? Have you already picked Sophia and Hugo as your baby names? Do you want to gouge out the smug eyes of the pregnant women in Sainsbo's? Do you shove balloons up your Boden sweater and pretend you have baby in your tum-tum? Have you already picked out your Farrow & Ball nursery paint? GREAT! Then you're just like us: We are the friendliest, wittiest, gayest, animal-lovingest, cervical-hunting women you will ever meet.

Come on, you frightened little trying-to-conceive mice...come join the fun on the Bumsnet bus. You know you wanna Smile

Brilliant name, Plum!

Glittery, it looks good, but I think you could design a better one. For a start, you could make it glittery!

I would be quite tempted to buy one, as I found temping didn't really work for me due to disturbed sleep & having to wake up at the same time every day.

I am CD10 today & just realised DHs four day weekend falls over my fertile period. CoC! Grin

autonomousplum · 21/05/2015 17:30

It'll be a gray conversation piece. "My o'cocko tells me my temp this morning was 36.0"
"Ooo-ooh interesting."

autonomousplum · 21/05/2015 17:31

Gray? Gray? I of course meant "great".

Pikz · 21/05/2015 17:36

Fig roller I also say cd13

Nomio get coc!

Loving the watch idea!

Purdie you ok?

Love to sparkly xxx

So I caved at 10 dpo. Bfn

I feel like I've been run over by a bus so wanted to check it wasn't that.

autonomousplum · 21/05/2015 17:59

pikz I can also see why you tested today with that extra rise. Hmm

autonomousplum · 21/05/2015 18:00

Yes we miss sparks Flowers

loopylou1984 · 21/05/2015 18:07

I've got my appointment through for the nhs fertility clinic... September 21st!
In better news I had an answer phone message from the private clinic about booking in treatment, so will be speaking to them tomorrow.

Can't believe the watch already exists!! Xx

purdiepie · 21/05/2015 20:16

Pikz, I would be testing again in two days with that triphasic vertiginousness! Thanks for asking, yes I am really good thanks Smile

Night, fostering is a wonderful gift and I only wish DH & I could do it but our criminal records and past addiction preclude having looked-after children in our family Sad

Glittery, you're going to be famous, no doubt about it Grin Do you really think AI doesn't get the sperm close enough to the cervix? You've got me worried Sad

I am fed up, lately, that I can't get pregnant naturally. Of course, once the time nears for us to fly abroad to collect our baby(ies) I won't give a crap. It's that feeling of wanting something you can't have just because you can't have it (own-egg success, I mean). I do shudder, though, when I think about raising a sprog with my genes running through it. That nipper would be a fucking psycho.

purdiepie · 21/05/2015 20:18

Sammy, hurrah for being awash with experts wanting to get you preggo! I can't WAIT for you to get your bfp Thanks

How is everyone else? Plum, you given up nursing that nipper yet?

loopylou1984 · 21/05/2015 20:32

Hehe thanks Purdie, I'm excited/nervous/disappointed/thrilled all at once at the moment!

Where are you with your IVF plans? Xx

purdiepie · 21/05/2015 20:40

I'm sending off the application form to Gennet tomorrow although we are already on their waiting list. Still not heard from our last donor Hmm

What are you disappointed about? That is has all come to this?

OP posts:
loopylou1984 · 21/05/2015 20:46

Yeah, I know it's silly, but I always thought it would just be the 2 of us making our baby, not a load of doctors.

Does the donor have a deadline to get back to you by? You'll need time to find another one if she says no I guess? Xx

purdiepie · 21/05/2015 20:53

The donor belongs to our last clinic (Reprogenesis) but we are also on the waiting list at Gennet. No idea if there is a deadline for the donor to reply, but I'm sure there must be (and if there isn't, I'll demand one, right?) The way Gennet works is this: you fill out the application form, detailing all past cycles and treatments and tests and results. The form also asks you to choose the characteristics of your donor. Then, around 4-6 months later, you get your Skype consultation with one of their doctors, discussing the protocol best suited to you (obvs my last cycle was perfect so they will, in all probability, attempt to replicate that protocol - they'd be menkul not to, right?) Then, apparently, they're ready to have you cycling as soon as your next period comes!

So yes, if our last donor says no we will be looking at an entirely different baby to Nancy. Booo!

OP posts:
purdiepie · 21/05/2015 20:54

So..just to add...I reckon the 4-6 month wait for a Skype consult is the period of time it takes them to match you to a donor.

OP posts:
purdiepie · 21/05/2015 20:55

I've never used Skype before. Does it hurt?

OP posts:
purdiepie · 21/05/2015 20:56

Could I catch a disease from the forrin fella on the telly?

OP posts:
loopylou1984 · 21/05/2015 21:05

They use your dhs sperm though right? So even IF your previous donor says no it would still be half the same as Nancy. AND you will love him/her just as much. But fx you hear positive news from the donor soon.

I've never used Skype either... But I've heard it's painless. Xx

fififolle · 21/05/2015 21:14

I've decided to pop back on....and I'm not an LPB!!
Now TTC again after MC #2.
Fififolle 37 TTC DC#2 MC Oct 14, MC April 15.
Wtf cycle now done so back on it, with a couple of glasses of red wine inbetween!

loopylou1984 · 21/05/2015 21:23

Fifi - sorry to hear about your mc. Xx

Nomio230 · 21/05/2015 21:41

Oh, Fifi, I am so sorry to hear that. It must be incredibly hard to go through. Flowers

Sammy, I understand your disappointment, but once you hold that baby in your arms, I don't think you will care how it was made.

fififolle · 21/05/2015 21:48

Thank you Nomio230 and Sammylou1 but I really haven't come on here for sympathy. I've had great support and am in a very good place now.
I'm rejoining to catch up with everyone and to chat about the TTC journey's ups and downs again.

fififolle · 21/05/2015 21:49

I do appreciate your good wishes, thank you xx

Hairstylisttoboris · 21/05/2015 21:50

fifi I'm so sorry. Hope your visit back to us is short. X

purdey I pretty much do all my work on Skype. It doesn't hurt unless you have bad broadband connections.

loopylou1984 · 21/05/2015 21:58

Fair enough fifi, in that case onwards with discussions of cm and opks!

Thanks Nomio, I know. I won't care how a bubby gets in my tum tum (phone tried to autocorrect that to yum yum!) as long as one does! Xx

Nomio230 · 21/05/2015 22:00

I have had lots of yum yums in my tum tum!
