Are you sick to the tits of baby-making sex? Or are you squelching with rabid lust when the lickle hand strikes cock o' clock? Have you already picked Sophia and Hugo as your baby names? Do you want to gouge out the smug eyes of the pregnant women in Sainsbo's? Do you shove balloons up your Boden sweater and pretend you have baby in your tum-tum? Have you already picked out your Farrow & Ball nursery paint? GREAT! Then you're just like us: We are the friendliest, wittiest, gayest, animal-lovingest, cervical-hunting women you will ever meet.

Come on, you frightened little trying-to-conceive mice...come join the fun on the Bumsnet bus. You know you wanna Smile

I think ff has it right! What happened on cd14?! I had a drop like that at 4dpo! Xx

nightandthelight · 21/05/2015 07:33

Don't know Sammy, probably one of my cats kept disturbing me Grin

Hairstylisttoboris · 21/05/2015 07:50

night if you foster will you keep on working? It's an option DH and I talk about a lot but I haven't researched. I want to do it but am scared.

nightandthelight · 21/05/2015 08:13

It is so scary Boris but I just keep reminding myself of two quotes: 1. The best things I have done in my life were the ones that scared me shitless at the time 2. Nothing that's worth doing is easy :)

Work is something to discuss with the social worker, I believe that you can continue to work part time if you have school aged children (I have a colleague who fosters two children with no partner and works part time so it is definitely possible!) I imagine it will depend on the child and how much input is required during normal working hours for them.

I might end up working on the bank so able to pick and choose when I work around the kids.

I think that if you are considering it it's worth looking into some more :) At lunchtime am off to pick up some books on it from the library.

Morning Grin

Night, I would say FF is right Smile

Has Sparkly been back? Hope she's ok.

chopsface · 21/05/2015 09:03

night doesn't fostering come with a wage anyway? Maybe you won't need 'two' jobs?

Was thinking about poor sparkly this morning too :-(

nightandthelight · 21/05/2015 09:10

It does come with an allowance chops for which there is a legal minimum amount although it can differ massively between LAs and agencies. Depending on how much it is it may be possible for me to stop working although I would probably still register with the bank at work in case of large gaps between placements!

I do want to be able to dedicate myself to the child/ren though so the less external work I can do the better :)

Woolly84 · 21/05/2015 09:19

Ahh night congrats on making the fostering decision - exciting indeed! Sounds like it could all happen relatively quickly too! Smile and yay for ovulation!

sparkly Flowers hope you're okay lovely, thinking of you xx

Does anyone else have fairly low post ovulation temps? Mine are hovering around 36.4, first month temping so be interesting to see what they do next few days, but I noticed a lot of charts go up to 36.6/36.7 post ovulation. I'm clearly a cold person Grin

nightandthelight · 21/05/2015 09:25

Mine have all been below 36.6 woolly :)

Woolly84 · 21/05/2015 09:29

Thanks night Smile

autonomousplum · 21/05/2015 09:40

woolly I honestly don't think it matters that much as long as the temp shift is clear. Everyone is different in terms of their regular body temp anyway. There might be some specifics with temps if you're five years down the line with failed ivf's at every corner, but generally it is okay. If you browse the chasers gallery there are loads of people with "low" temps who arehe pregnant jut as here are loads with high temps. I think it looks fine as the shift pattern is clear. waits nervously for own shift to happen

autonomousplum · 21/05/2015 09:40

Charts gallery not chasers gallery! Hmm

Woolly84 · 21/05/2015 09:46

Thanks autonomous that's very reassuring! Smile fx for your temp shift soon xx

glitteryflange · 21/05/2015 13:37

Sorry haven't yet learnt to do the links properly Confused

ThePug · 21/05/2015 13:37

Glittery I'm devastated that you've been beaten to it but super impressed at what you've managed to dig up! I'd probably consider a Tempdrop if I thought I'd be using it for a long time (trying to keep PMA that it won't take that long) although it looks like it would get expensive having to keep buying the adhesive pads, which I guess are integral to it taking the readings.

glitteryflange · 21/05/2015 14:32

I know me too Hmm I thought this time next year I'd be a millionaire??

It's still not at market yet. But they are taking money Hmm

glitteryflange · 21/05/2015 15:09

only other thing I could think of was Fitbit with an inbuilt in BBT - but they don't have that option. The amateurs.

autonomousplum · 21/05/2015 16:32

I feel we should patent a glittery version of these. Better one than the current choices. The bummer's wristband o'cockthermometer. I'm sure it'll sell millions!

Figroller · 21/05/2015 16:41

Just checking in got some crossed red lines on my chart today so FF thinks I ov'd cd 11? Just showing off really because I have a chart to show now. Grin

Woolly I was thinking the same thing my temps seem quite low. Hope that's ok.

purdiepie · 21/05/2015 16:48

Fig, it's more likely you ov'd on CD13 what with the spotting.

glitteryflange · 21/05/2015 16:52

Plum I love that name lol

Figroller · 21/05/2015 17:13
