Are you sick to the tits of baby-making sex? Or are you squelching with rabid lust when the lickle hand strikes cock o' clock? Have you already picked Sophia and Hugo as your baby names? Do you want to gouge out the smug eyes of the pregnant women in Sainsbo's? Do you shove balloons up your Boden sweater and pretend you have baby in your tum-tum? Have you already picked out your Farrow & Ball nursery paint? GREAT! Then you're just like us: We are the friendliest, wittiest, gayest, animal-lovingest, cervical-hunting women you will ever meet.

Come on, you frightened little trying-to-conceive mice...come join the fun on the Bumsnet bus. You know you wanna Smile

melon that's a line!!! congrats!!!

wotsits1 · 15/05/2015 08:32

....and melon maybe u ov late? I only ov on day 18 or 19 so my 10 dpo is actually cd29. could this have happened?

MelonMelon · 15/05/2015 08:37

It's possible. I haven't used OPKS or temping this month so no idea what day I might have ovd. DH can't understand why I'm not jumping for joy but I'm just so hesitant after my miscarriage last year.

nightandthelight · 15/05/2015 08:43

Right catch up*

Congrats on bfp melon Grin

Glad that appt went well Sammy, can't advise on embryoscope etc as am completely ignorant but you are young so I am sure you will be in with a good chance whatever :)

Purdie you have to keep peeing until the 7th day of your next cycle! Also thanks for new thread :)

Your DH sounds so lovely pixa! Glad to hear that things are moving forward :)

So sorry for blood results Eskimo, fx you are oving right now! Just heard from galgos del sol. They are sending me the details of my galgos baby Grin

nightandthelight · 15/05/2015 08:44

I posted about painful sex on the last thread, won't repeat it here but if anyone has seen post and wishes to comment that would be great :)

loopylou1984 · 15/05/2015 08:51

Melon I can see a line! Tentative congratulations!!! Xx

loopylou1984 · 15/05/2015 08:53

Night I saw your post on the old thread. I don't suffer to the same extreme but sometimes I have to ask dh to be gentle as it feels too tight down there. We've found that using a bit of preseed on him and me, and a gentle approach to begin with solves the issue. Xx

nightandthelight · 15/05/2015 08:56

Thanks Sammy :) was thinking this morning that preseed could help so will get me some of that!

DizzyNorthernBird · 15/05/2015 08:59

Thanks for the new bus purds!

rice, so so sorry to hear about your Dad. You're looking after your mum but I hope your DH is looking after you too. Flowers & hugs x

Welcome to lauraqc!

bean you aren't an lbp you ol' timer!

daisy, I always think about the birth month. I desperately wanted to be on maternity leave for Xmas for obvious reasons. Now I'm looking at at least Feb! I'm starting to regret we didn't start ttc sooner but we couldn't have because the timing wasn't right and I don't think DP felt ready.

melon congratulations. Can you hazard a guess at how many dpo you are?

Hairstylisttoboris · 15/05/2015 09:01

Hi all
Welcome to our new passenger! How long have you been at this crazy game for?

rice I'm so sorry. What a rough time for you.

melon cycle buddy! I see a line! Test again soon!

night I saw your question in the old threaded but can't help. Hope someone can.

eskimo been meaning to say I found your greyhound story from Spain heartbreaking. I actually couldn't really read it. I find animal cruelty in this and many other countries abhorrent. I've give voluntary support over the years to a few different international animal welfare charities and the stories they have are horrific.

Bfn for me, AF not arrived yet but gel like she's still coming. Not that I was really in with a chance this month. :(

nightandthelight · 15/05/2015 09:02

Yes sorry I missed you off my catch up Rice! I am so sorry to hear about your dad :( Take care lovely Flowers

glitteryflange · 15/05/2015 09:02

Night - I feel your pain with the spear in the arse! Do you use lube? Also I know you've probably heard it but try to relax. Being tense is tensing up your fadge muscles.

Try not to get upset about it. Envy

One of my ex's was really girthy and it was so uncomfortable, I felt grazed inside and bled and used lube so I can totally relate to that feeling of dread! It was like being rogered with a coke can ConfusedBlush

I'm off sick today. Congested. Ache. Sneezing every 5 mins. Watery eyes. Voice sounds like Barry White and I look like shit. Day at home it is.Sad

Hope everyone is okay.
DTD last night. Come on spermz!!

wotsits1 · 15/05/2015 09:04

night I have a similar issue in that sex can be painful. I have a nasty episiotomy scar that often ruptures during sex and can be painful and bleed. It can feel really tight and makes some positions impossible. (I've had it repaired 3 times. Its better but not great!)

TTC sex can be quite 'no frills' and I think if I didn't use preseed I would be in agony! Its not to bad if its 'fun' sex and there's lots of foreplay. But when its just ttc sex it can be awful. I try to keep to positions where I can control how deep he goes and that helps too.

You aren't alone in this misfortune Night. Preseed can be a godsend!

glitteryflange · 15/05/2015 09:09

sniggers at Boden jumper reference
Elephants breath for my nursery! Lol
And we like the name Sofia - Blush haha

Keep pissing Purds. Everyday. Glad mine is over was a bit of a chore in the end!

Oh rice sorry to hear about your dad Sad hope your ok?

melon wooooo! Tentative congratulations for you!! Thanks

Watching dinner date. So glad I'm married innit.

glitteryflange · 15/05/2015 09:11

Bean sprout you aren't a LPB I remember you from the other buses! Don't be silly! When is AF due? Have you been temping?

nightandthelight · 15/05/2015 09:15

Your post made me laugh so much glittery! Grin

Thanks for the support ladies, sorry to hear that you also suffer but also good not to be alone!

The digestive issues are my biggest problem so need to target those. Not sure how though as already have whole grains and fruit and veg.

glitteryflange · 15/05/2015 09:18

Daisy Duck - I was desperate for an xmas baby. So when AF came along it was shit. But taught me an important lesson - that I seriously cannot pick and choose the date. As much as I would be able to.

Now I would love next March/April as due date as it would be spring and can have long spring walks and enjoy the whole summer on Mat leave. Smile

Boris - don't lose hope! X

Sorry for lots of posts! I'm on my phone and can't read back whilst I write.

DizzyNorthernBird · 15/05/2015 09:19

night I just skipped back to read your post. If you think the problem is down to constipation, can you address the constipation first (admittedly not a quick fix unless you want to crack open the sennocot(sp?)). Then you might feel a bit more comfortable and relaxed once your bowels feel more comfortable. And relaxed.

glittery hope you feel better soon. There seems to be a lot of bugs going around at the moment. My desk neighbour went off sick earlier this week so I'm just waiting for the symptoms to kick in myself.

sammy I agree with what the others said, if I were in your shoes I'd probably pay the 100 quid but would be reluctant to pay over 700 for something which might not work.....although it all helps your chances I suppose so it's totally understandable if you felt you wanted to go ahead with it.

Thanks to everyone for the Flowers Brew and Cake yesterday. I'm feeling better today so it's probably just hormones getting me down. I had a little cry yesterday morning which is so unlike me (I usually only cry at cute puppies and Greys Anatomy) but now it's onwards and forwards to the next cycle!

I'm off to meet my preggo friend again today....she's still not pushed it out yet! Her due date is today! Eek! She wants to go for a long walk in the woods as apparently long walks help move things along and also I guess the law of sod might kick in! Imagine if her waters break when we're in the middle of the woods lol. Luckily the woods are only around 3 miles from the maternity unit so I'm not too worried Grin.

DizzyNorthernBird · 15/05/2015 09:21

oops crossed post night!

glitteryflange · 15/05/2015 09:22

Ah dizzy enjoy your walk Smile how exciting for your friend! Be you soon Grin

Night get some fibre gel down you.

BabyGiraffeOnIce · 15/05/2015 09:29

just read through ladies and wondered if I can join your gang,

hope the initiation isn't too bad Smile

just had 1st real AF after coming off the pill, so now it's real life trying and not just rudes for fun. Actually nervous ha!

DizzyNorthernBird · 15/05/2015 09:33

I hope so glittery!

Nightcould there be something you're eating that's slowing your digestive system down though?

I've always felt I've got an intolerance to bread/flour related products. I generally avoid them as much as possible or go gluten free but a few times a month I'll have a slip up and eat bread/pizza/cakes, usually in one big binge. I swear it clogs up my system......it starts off with constipation and severe bloating and when that eases off I get a couple of days of slushy poops. Over the years I've realised that this only ever happens after eating a lot of bread and cakes (the gps were fucking useless, tests showed my bowel was inflamed but they couldn't tell me why and their remedy was to eat a balanced diet!!!! No shit!! Pun intended)

Anyway so my point is, maybe you should consider what else you could be eating which might be causing this to happen?

DizzyNorthernBird · 15/05/2015 09:35

Welcome babygiraffe!

What are your stats? Tell us a bit about yourself Smile

Hairstylisttoboris · 15/05/2015 09:37

babygirraffe you may join our gamy. We are the cool kids, we even have our own eskimo. The initiation is you must bring a gift, some gifts will get you in gin others will see you denied entry an already positive pregnancy test . You also need to tell us if you wish to sit with the quinoa eaters or the lesser healthy brigade - either is fine but we have a bit if a split between two camps. Oh and it would help to know your age and if you are trying for child 1,2 or 14 whatever and when you think your BFP is due.

Hairstylisttoboris · 15/05/2015 09:38

gang, you may join our gang. .
