Are you sick to the tits of baby-making sex? Or are you squelching with rabid lust when the lickle hand strikes cock o' clock? Have you already picked Sophia and Hugo as your baby names? Do you want to gouge out the smug eyes of the pregnant women in Sainsbo's? Do you shove balloons up your Boden sweater and pretend you have baby in your tum-tum? Have you already picked out your Farrow & Ball nursery paint? GREAT! Then you're just like us: We are the friendliest, wittiest, gayest, animal-lovingest, cervical-hunting women you will ever meet.

Come on, you frightened little trying-to-conceive mice...come join the fun on the Bumsnet bus. You know you wanna Smile

That is amazing, Night. Keep us updated!

Chops, we had to re-do loads of tests, but should have the last results by next week. Then we can finally be referred to the specialist, so things might get going. In the meantime, I am still praying for a miracle!

loopylou1984 · 20/05/2015 18:43

Wotsit - Purdies often quiet during the week as she has a job now!

Night - that's a lovely idea, would you want to foster little ones? I read a lot of Casey Watson books and have always thought fostering would be a lovely thing to do. Xx

loopylou1984 · 20/05/2015 18:44

Plum - I second what Boris said! Xx

autonomousplum · 20/05/2015 18:51

A-aah boris I see yes. Sort of makes sense. No, yes, it does make sense. Smile Explains why previously my opks have been positive on two days mostly rather than just on one day. Timing I suppose. Mind, my strongest positive since I started using opks has been a late-morning test, just to throw a spanner in thee works for you. Grin But yes, it does make sense. I'll just take it as a detecting of a very strong surge which has hung around properly for a change. Which would obviously then be a fantastic sign of a good ovulation!
Hurray for being cheered up! :) Flowers

autonomousplum · 20/05/2015 18:51

Xpost thanks sammy!

autonomousplum · 20/05/2015 18:53

Feeling really chipper now! I may even indulge in some chocolate. Then dtd again tonight or tomorrow morning. dances around the kitchen with the cat

DizzyNorthernBird · 20/05/2015 19:06

I'm surprised they haven't invented a built in thermometer app into phones yet. You can't get apps to measure heart rate via the camera lense, so why not make them heat sensitive too?

ibeka was it you that asked yesterday about why I'm trying to quit sugar? I'm convinced I'm putting on weight. Despite all the running I do. I have one cake or one chocolate bar a day, which I always thought didn't seem like much but I'm sure this spare tyre is inflating. It's not right! I probably eat too many carbs too but would rather try and quit sugar, I need carbs!! Plus too much sugar in the diet can affect thyroid health which affects hormonal balance which affects fertility! So I'm trying to quit!

DizzyNorthernBird · 20/05/2015 19:06

Oh yeah, and drugs are bad. Just saying. Grin

wotsits1 · 20/05/2015 19:47

Thanks Sammy .... was wondering where she had got to!!!

nightandthelight · 20/05/2015 19:51

Thanks guys :) just need to wait and see if I'm pg first!

glitteryflange · 20/05/2015 20:22

Aw night that's so noble of you. Sod's law you'll fall pregnant naturally! (Yay for that too!)

In the bath. Candles. Even shaved my legs. I must be ovulating.

Nomio230 · 20/05/2015 20:39

Night, I think you and DH are amazing people. You will soon be making a massive difference to a child's life. Star

Do you know how long it will take once you get the process started?

Glittery, are you sexing or AI-ing this month?

Dizzy, I agree about sugar affecting hormones. I love chocolate, but it messes up my cycle if I eat too much.

nightandthelight · 20/05/2015 20:44

I don't feel noble I feel terrified (and excited), have been reading the MN fostering pages :)

I think the average time for approval is 4-6 months nomio and you have to do all the training etc.

Love the sound of your candlelit bath glittery Grin

Nomio230 · 20/05/2015 21:09

That is not too long, Night. It sounds really exciting!

nightandthelight · 20/05/2015 21:12

Thanks nomio, now we have made the decision to look into it the nerves are kicking in! Of course we may not be approved in which case it will be back to TTC.

glitteryflange · 20/05/2015 21:13

It's lovely. There are so many children out there for need a loving home. Some sad stories though. Some children have the clothes on their back and that's it. Sad

We are sexing again. AI was different to try but I was worried I wasn't quite getting it close to my cervix as DH's sausage. Grin

spinningirl10 · 20/05/2015 21:35

Glittery. I love a tanGrin haha loving your googling!

Night, Ahh I think you and Mr Night would make wonderful foster parents. What an amazing thing to do. I hope you get your bfp very soon but if not you'll be so busy with your foster kiddies a bfp will sneak up and surprise you. And the fostering will make you an even more fantastic Mummy Smile

Nomio230 · 20/05/2015 21:49

I am sure you will be approved, Night. They would be crazy not to want you.

DizzyMerry · 20/05/2015 23:17

Night you and DH are wonderful people and would make amazing foster parents. It's such a selfless thing to do and just shows how much love you have to give. I hope it all works out for you and also fx for your bfp.

It's definitely CoC here. Got my first flashing smiley tonight so off to dtd.

nightandthelight · 21/05/2015 06:08

Aww guys you are going to make me cry :)

I have angry pubes indicating I ovd CD12, will post chart later for you to have a look at Grin

nightandthelight · 21/05/2015 06:09

Go Merry!

autonomousplum · 21/05/2015 06:35

Morning girls. After feeling quite cheerful last night I am now totally bummed. No temp rise today. Last cycle I ov-ed on cd19 with a +opk also on cd19. Had my +opk on cd18 and today is cd20 and still no indication of ov. Confused
And I've got my prog tablets at the ready for keeping my lp going beyond at least 7days this time but obviously can't start taking them until ov. It would be awful if this was another anovulatory cycle after last month's first proper ov. Boo. SadAngry

loopylou1984 · 21/05/2015 06:54

Hi plum

I'm attaching my chart for you because as you can see my temp rise happened 3 days after my first positive opk! Don't give up yet!

I'm not sure what happened at 4dpo - it was a disturbed sleep so I discarded it, but usually disturbed sleep = higher temp for me not lower!! Xx

nightandthelight · 21/05/2015 07:16

Do you ladies agree with FF?

BUMSNET - where bums (and hopes) are raised in the quest for a BFP.
autonomousplum · 21/05/2015 07:30

Oh sammy thanks for posting that! It does make me feel better just to see. I shall cling to tomorrow like a dungbeetle to the elephant poo coup of a lifetime! Grin
I've never discarded a temp except when I had an obvious fever on the day and ff automatically ignored it when I ticked 'fever' in the specifics. I think my sleep is generally so disturbed bc of DC that having to make a decision about discarding a temp just adds unnecessary stress. Brew
