Are you sick to the tits of baby-making sex? Or are you squelching with rabid lust when the lickle hand strikes cock o' clock? Have you already picked Sophia and Hugo as your baby names? Do you want to gouge out the smug eyes of the pregnant women in Sainsbo's? Do you shove balloons up your Boden sweater and pretend you have baby in your tum-tum? Have you already picked out your Farrow & Ball nursery paint? GREAT! Then you're just like us: We are the friendliest, wittiest, gayest, animal-lovingest, cervical-hunting women you will ever meet.

Come on, you frightened little trying-to-conceive mice...come join the fun on the Bumsnet bus. You know you wanna Smile

Yay for excellent sperm results Spinning!!!! Grin

Don't panic night quite often you will see a temp drop before a rise!

Boris good luck with dildo cam results!

Love hearing about all your doggies...I am envious. I have always longed to have a dog but growing up couldn't have one as my mum is allergic Sad When we move to The Hague we will be getting a dog Smile

If it's of any help - my dh had a private sa and it cost around £150, although it wasn't one of those tests that tell you how long the spermies live for...

Hairstylisttoboris · 19/05/2015 12:17

So the doctor says I have two noticeable fibroids in my uterus. Not disastrous to tTC but might be an issue. He will continue to refer us to a fertility clinic once DH had been able to jizz in a cup...

Queenbee30 · 19/05/2015 12:45

boris how are you feeling about that? is it a relief to know and now you can get it sorted?

chopsface · 19/05/2015 12:53

Oh girls, you are all a bit soppy today! I love you all too! sob !!!! Flowers

Hope your fibroids aren't a problem Boris its quite unusual to have them if you've not had babies as apparently the contractions of labour can contort the smooth muscle of the uterus leading to the start if the tumour. Did they say how big they were or if there were intra or extra mural?

Hairstylisttoboris · 19/05/2015 13:35

Thanks queen and chops
chops he said they were both measuring just over 1cm x 1cm if he told me where they were I didn't register that fact. He didn't seem worried, do you think I need to push back to find out more or have them taken more seriously at this point?

DizzyNorthernBird · 19/05/2015 13:41

Girls, someone please give me strength..... I'm trying to give up sugar again but I've got a Frys Chocolate Cream in my desk drawer...... It is literally burning a hole in my drawer....! I can't concentrate on my work for thinking about it Sad

Nomio230 · 19/05/2015 13:54

Eat it, Dizzy. Grin Remove the temptation, then be good after that.

Boris, can they be removed? Do they even need to be? It is good that you know, but must be slightly worrying.

I planned a nice relaxing morning at the hotel pool, got down there & it is mummy & toddler day. I was literally the only woman there without a baby. Apart from the fact my heart was breaking, it was too noisy to relax, so gave up & am now in the bar with a coffee!

Pikz · 19/05/2015 14:02

Boris what you need to ask is are they obstructing any tubes and would they obstruct implantation? You want confirmed no's if there is any doubt get them removed

DizzyNorthernBird · 19/05/2015 14:46

I considered that tactic nomio, however I ended up hiding it in my locker which is at the other side of the building and up a flight of stairs! let's see how long it stays there for. So if I want it, I gotta work for it!!

Nomio230 · 19/05/2015 14:49

Good thinking, Dizzy!

DizzyNorthernBird · 19/05/2015 15:03

Yes except now I keep thinking about going for a walk around the building......... Grin

DizzyNorthernBird · 19/05/2015 15:05

I've been grazing on grapes and fresh mango but they're doing nothing to relieve these cravings! 56 minutes until I can escape and there's no chocolate at home yet

Nomio230 · 19/05/2015 15:18

I have been a fat pig the last couple of days, but am getting back on my diet tomorrow. We can do it together, Dizzy.

ThePug · 19/05/2015 15:29

boris I agree with your sentiments about the Bus entirely - so supportive and a lovely place to hang out. I don't even know what fibroids are - did your Dr say what causes them and whether there is anything to treat them or prevent more occurring?

night How are you smelling now? Grin I stopped watching Gossip Girl a loooooong time ago. Are Dan & Blair together (if so, whaaat?) or was this the result of some naughty extra curricular activity? Is Chuck Bass still in the show?

nomio I am so sorry all the mummies & toddlers ruined your hotel plans, ugh. It's afternoon now so you can move on from coffee to Wine if you're still in the bar! Have you ventured out into Brizzle?

Dizzy I'm not an expert (and my nutritional knowledge is based only upon the fact I'm diabetic) but won't grapes and mango cause your blood sugar to spike, therefore being unhelpful for hunger pangs and cravings? Isn't it better to try to keep your blood sugar as even as possible, so you should opt for low GI (slow release carbohydrate) foods, which for snacks would be things like wholegrain crackers or maybe nuts...

I just got home from the office and did my opk - it took a long time to show the second line at all and it started off very faint and only went dark-ish at the end of the 10 minute window (these ICs say to read after 10 mins). I can't remember from previous cycle whether it went darker a lot quicker when it actually was positive. Any experience? Annoyingly I haven't managed a long enough window without eating/drinking yet today to do the saliva test as my blood sugar keeps dropping (I'm trying to be good and keep it as low-but-ok as possible) and I keep having to eat biscuits ( oh what a hardship I hear you all mutter )

Nomio230 · 19/05/2015 15:38

Mine always take forever, Pug. They normally start to get a line after 3/4 mins, but it doesn't come up properly until after10 mins.

I did think about heading into town, but am too lazy! I am just flumped in a cosy sofa with my Kindle. Smile

nightandthelight · 19/05/2015 15:52

Love how out of date you are pug, GG has now finished and everyone ended up with the right people :) The actress who plays Blair has married the actor who played Seth in the OC and they are now expecting a baby!

At least she ended up with Chuck in the show :)

ThePug · 19/05/2015 16:01

Haha night I got so confused between Seth Cohen and the due who played Dan - they look so similar I think! But yes, they are going to have beautiful babies Envy

night I hope you have a good book at least! How long are you staying?

I will upload my opk pics from my phone in a sec....

ThePug · 19/05/2015 16:02

^ I meant nomio how long are you staying!

ThePug · 19/05/2015 16:04

They all look the same darkness now I think Confused Today's is at the bottom.

BUMSNET - where bums (and hopes) are raised in the quest for a BFP.
Nomio230 · 19/05/2015 16:10

I think DH will be finished in half an hour or so, so we will be heading home soon.

Nomio230 · 19/05/2015 16:27

The bottom one looks slightly darker to me, but I don't think you have OVd yet, Pug.

ThePug · 19/05/2015 16:39

Me neither nomio so I will keep poas! I think my cm might be getting more wet/EWey so hopefully not far off. FF can take a running jump with its Angry ~~ from last week! Hope the drive home doesn't take too long Smile

woodpigeon123 · 19/05/2015 17:37

Hello....

New stats for me:

########
Woodpigeon123, age 32, TTC#1, cycle 8, BFP due 19th June

Thank you xxx

DizzyNorthernBird · 19/05/2015 17:50

pug I have no idea about the blood sugar spike thing but I was eating the fruit in the hope it would satisfy the sugar craving as I'm trying to cut out refined sugars as much as I can. I'd already had low gi lunch which had sweet potatoes and roasted veg, with quinoa but I don't actually know whether quinoa counts as a carb or if it's just protein?!

Funnily enough my desk neighbour is diabetic, I made a joke this afternoon about how he relies on a sugar fix sometimes to keep stable (he'd just had a can of fizzy drink, did a blood test and needed more sugar so was tucking into some grapes) yet next to him I'm doing all I can to not eat the stuff! Grin

I didn't go back to my locker in the end bit when I got home I had a slice of toast with Nutella. Oh well, one step at a time hey.

I watched some girly movie the other day on sky which had Seth from the oc and the dark haired girl out of gossip girl in it? Can't remember her name! She played a gay girl who was struggling with losing touch with her best mate who'd got married to Seth. Quite a nice movie actually. Easy watching for a Sunday afternoon.

I don't think the bottom one is dark enough either yet pug. Maybe tomorrow?

eskimoflo · 19/05/2015 17:55

I have just had a slice of toast with Nutella Dizzy! Weird. I also had a glass of chocolate milk, which I bought yesterday for the first time ever. It tastes like melted chocolate ice-cream. Lush!

How is everyone? There are people who haven't posted for a while, like froggy Did I miss sumat? Hope she's ok... Hmm

Purdie Are you there? How's your job going lovely?
