ibeka I am lucky enough to live only a few miles from my school (but in a different catchment area!) and I used to come home every lunchtime to let the dogs out. I did this every week day for years. If we did, on a rare occasion, happen to have a lunchtime meeting or something, I would ask my parents to come round, which they did, even though they live 45 minutes away. The year before last, I got a job at another school and it was impossible for me to make the lunchtime journey, so I hired a dog walker who would come round at lunch and walk them for half an hour for £10 a day, which was expensive, but I couldn't leave them all day, it would be unfair. I didn't last long at that school though, and was only there for 5 months before moving back to my first school. I kept the dog walker on because it made sense. DH moved in with me a year ago and became self-employed at Christmas. He now works shifts and he is able to walk them during the day, so it's worked out well and we are 'saving' £200 a month.
I couldn't have them if me or DH or someone wasn't around to walk them or at least let them out; it wouldn't be fair on them
What was Far from the Madding Crowd like? Thomas Hardy is my all time favourite author. DH and I went to Dorset for our honeymoon and I made him do the Hardy trail with me. He was not impressed!
Queen I love your posts. You need to post more often. I hope you're feeling better soon

Boris Baby bombs are shit. I've had one today, on FB, from a girl who got married a month before me. Her baby is due in November, so it was in the form of a scan pic. I think it's worse when it's from someone who got married around the same time as I did, as I can infer that they've been trying about the same time as we have. They've managed to make a baby and I haven't even had a proper period in that time!
Sammy Good news on the blood test. Things are moving, even if it is infuriatingly slow.
TMI alert: I can always tell the difference between my EWCM and my DH's spunk because DH's spunk is quite yellowy in colour and my EWCM is always transparent. Having said that, I have tons of EWCM but not sure if I have ovulated since coming of BC. I have had lots of positive OPKs, but not always at the 'right' time. My hormones are haywire, but I do get EWCM at the time of the supposed LH surge, so think they are at least trying!
