Dear all

What a year it's been. Two tryies at Clomind which had no effect. Then our first IVF where I didn'tr espond to treatment AT ALL. This 2nd attempt I've done better and we go for an egg collection on Friday! God willing and all being well I'll have a transplant on Monday. Even if I don't I know that I DO respond to the drugs! So there is hope!

Just wanted to share my news ... I'll post more as and when I have it. I will know on Friday how many eggs they collected and they will let us know on Saturday how many have fertilised ...

oh good luck, i hope they get afair few, fertilised and implanted sucessfully. i do think of you often, your time is soon i hope.

Thanks ladies! Had all intentions of going to work today. However am very tender and more so since the HcG shot. Lots of egg white this morning so the drugs are working! Although I do feel sick with nerves and excitement!

Home from the hospital. 7 eggs collected. Now the wait for tomorrows call to see how many fertilised.

7 that is good, how many will they put back in? do they have a max amount?

Max of 2 will be returned to me! And yes it will be done on Monday!

I'm sorry to hear that ... better luck next time. 1st cycle I had I didn't even get to an egg collection as I had no response to the drugs.

Crying as I type.

Of the 7 they took, 3 were immature so they injected 4 and only 2 took. Going back for the transfer on Monday at Midday. Full of relief and also trepidation for the two week wait!

Oh BeckiF - that is great. It is so hard waiting to see if they fertilise - I was shaking when the doc rang to tell me! (My one did fertilise).

Will be thinking of you on Monday.

Oh - the transfer back is easy - not at all painful IME.

You do want to hang yourself upside down afterwards though!

As far as I know I can wee on a stick 2 weeks after transfer! So that makes is the 27th Nivember and first scan would be Christmas week ... the stuff dreams are made of.

i find it weird to think that as I sit and type, the embryo of me and the man I adore are busy working away and growing. Can't wait to get them inside!

It is incredible to think of isn't it?

I have one DS (5) as a result of my first ever attempt at IVF. I still sometimes get the shivers when I think of how he was "made".

Thank God for medical science.
