No no no no no no don't let the thread die!!!! We just need to recruit some more lovely ladies to full the seats left behind by the grads!

I phone the private clinic today to get some more information and have ended up with an appointment on Thursday! Dh is away again so will be going alone, but we're going to sit down tomorrow and make a list of what we want to know so at least he has some in put too.
Then I have my nhs appointment on Monday!
I think the next thing I need is AMH bloods done which is £90 privately! For a blood test!!!! It's all go here now, I'm getting quite freaked out by the speed of it all really! Xx

Queenbee30 · 11/05/2015 17:49

Wow, all going really quick now sammy! Great news Smile

Queenbee30 · 11/05/2015 17:50

Are you all hanging out on fb? Hmmmmm

DizzyNorthernBird · 11/05/2015 17:51

Thanks purdie. I was thinking a nice 'finest' pizza from tesco for dinner. And DP has some cupcakes Smile.

Just had a moan to DP. He pointed out that there's no point in being bored now, because pregnancy is boring because you're waiting for baby to arrive, and then newborns are boring because they don't do much so you look forward to them growing up a little. So there's a whole load of boring to look forward to! Some of you might disagree with this but DP knows me too well lol. I suppose I should be making the most of my freedom now rather than moping.... because I will get my baby one day!

nightandthelight · 11/05/2015 17:56

Chin up Dizzy! Sorry for the imminent arrival of AF Flowers

Loving how quickly everything is going Sammy!

I think next thread we will have to have an opening statement encouraging newbies :)

loopylou1984 · 11/05/2015 18:23

It's only going quickly because we're paying for it! I was reluctant at first, but just glad to be getting somewhere! Xx

loopylou1984 · 11/05/2015 18:24

Dizzy - now I want pizza!! Xx

autonomousplum · 11/05/2015 18:42

Hmmm pizza.
purds no a year or three younger than us, but not much. Envy
Yay sammy! Good luck!
queen it's awful yes. They should have ads for epo, clomid, thermometers, pre-ov wine and post-ov candied pineapple core bites, and ROC decorating kits. I need a new wonderful make it all better bra though because my once fine boobs have died a slow death since I weaned DC. They could advertise that instead? Sad

Woolly84 · 11/05/2015 18:45

Mmm pizza....

ibeka thank you, that's made me feel much better!! Smile I just hope my temp confirms ovulation soon and that I have a decent LP, so strange having a cycle range of 26-30 days now, hey ho! Your chart looks good, if mine ends up showing ovulation I'll share when I can figure out how to attach a pic

sammy yay for things moving quickly!!

Sorry to those whom AF has got or is about to get FlowersCake

dizzynorthern yes you will get your bubba, I think that's a good point about making the most of the free time we have now Wine

I like our bus these days as I can keep up a bit better! It is nice to have newbies joining too though. I'm struggling keeping up with the May bus these days so may have to step off there Confused

Pikz · 11/05/2015 19:22

Hiya! Need to catch up... Just been doing some reading whilst waiting for ds bath to fill... Tis interesting...

Age:
For some, the OPK turns positive a couple of days before ovulation. For others, it’s the day before. The older you get, the shorter the interval of time between a detectable surge in LH and the release of your egg. By the time you are in your late 30’s, the LH surge may come on the very day you ovulate. And by the time you are over 40, the egg may have already been released by the time you have enough LH in your urine to turn a kit positive

dojo123 · 11/05/2015 19:23

Just popping on to say hello and hoping you're all ok. I do try and keep an eye on you guys.

eskimoflo · 11/05/2015 20:00

Sorry for AF Spinning and Merry Sad

Went for my blood tests this morning.

I hate Mondays, especially when they are CD21 and you get another flashing smiley. My hormones are crazy crazy and I am fed up. Nothing else to report.

glitteryflange · 11/05/2015 20:11

I've got blood from for day 2-4 of next AF. I have some CB trial sticks left over will give every other day shaggy get and then 3 days over peak then back to every other day until AF decides to come again.

Feisty haha yeah sometimes only when needed Wink

Sparkly hope your alright love.

Looking forward to my July transvag scan if no baby in my tum tum beforehand.

In the words of Catherine Tate 'what a load of old shit!' Thought this ttc malarkey would be easy as piss.

lucieloos · 11/05/2015 20:16

OMG haven't checked in for a few days and what do I see Purdie is going back to prague for a sibling for Nancy pants!! That is so amazing purds I'm so happy for you! Have you thought about which clinic you will use? Ahhh it's all so exciting!

Sammy it looks like things are moving along quickly for you too and I hope your appt goes well on Thursday! I can see you making a start next month!!

It's all happening on here! Spinning fx for your dhs results but if not then get out to prague with purdie!

Not much news from my side at the moment. I'm going to go and see my gp tomorrow and see if I can get her to refer me for hysteroscopy. My parents have some sort of insurance thing which also covers me so if the wait on the nhs is more than 2 weeks then the insurance will pay for it so I just need to beg the gp to agree to refer me!! I don't know if I need the HSG test as well which is the one with the dye or if the hysteroscopy will cover everything? Any ideas Purdie? Still not sure when I will be starting my next treatment but it's looking like medication will be in June and then out early July at the moment for egg collection. Purdie I'm also filling in the forms at the moment to get on the waiting list for Gennet so if the 2nd try fails we have a back up plan and we should have made some good progress on the waiting list. I think it's about 6 months at the moment so get on the list asap if you want to go with them!

Hi to everyone else, hope you are all doing well and wishing lots of bfp's for you all soon.

Rainy34 · 11/05/2015 20:20

Spinning sorry af got you!!

dizzy sorry that it looks like AF is coming, i feel that too, iv only been trying for a year but the month after month of af coming each month is getting me down too!!

Got my doctors appointment tomorrow, this sounds silly but in a way i hope they find that progesterone is lowering so that would make sense why i am not getting pregnant and then on the other hand i want them to say everything is fine!!

Pixa · 11/05/2015 20:59

DizzyNorth sorry to hear you are grumpy.

Boris I am so envious, I would go back to Malaysia in a heartbeat. It's crap that your boss is a dick.

Nomio Sad Flowers for the bfn.

Purdie I am so so so very pleased for you. That is the best news I have heard in a long time. You must be so excited!

DizzyMerry Sad Flowers AF truly is shit.

Spinning I am so so gutted for you. Flowers Fingers crossed that you get a way forward soon.

Baby I have an evil sibling too, I feel your pain.

Sparkly Where are you? I hope you are well.

Thanks again ladies for the warm welcome and the kind words. My appointment is tomorrow so getting quite nervous. I really need to focus and write some questions down. DH has his appointment in a couple of days.

Please don't let this thread die, I still haven't rummaged for my cervix and I need your advice! Ha ha.

loopylou1984 · 11/05/2015 21:05

Thanks Lucie Smile I'm not sure how soon we can start, I know they want go do a blood test first (AMH??) and I'm not sure when I'm my cycle that needs to be done? But if we can do it next month I'm def up for that! It's scary though, there's SO much I'm worried about.
Glad you've got plans, can I ask why you need the hystoscopy thingy? Is it to check you're good to go again? Xx

ibeka · 11/05/2015 21:05

Is this bus dying, asks Purds.... Personally, I quite like being able to keep up Grin but we definitely need some newbies, especially as Bozza, melon and sunny are going to get their BFPs any day soon! Maybe we need to revert to inane chat about gin, sex dresses or toilet seats....

BabyBump, sorry I missed your return in my previous post. Welcome back! Glad you are over the stressful time but sorry you're in such a confusing place right now. As for evil sibling.... grrr.

Sammy, hooray for speedy appointments!

Lucie, hi, how are you feeling now? Glad you've got a plan of action sorted.

Trying to summon up the energy to get DP to DTD.

Highlight of the evening so far has been choosing the reg plate for our new car - it says poo Grin

loopylou1984 · 11/05/2015 21:06

Rainy good luck with your appointment tomorrow Smile

Nomio230 · 11/05/2015 21:13

If this thread dies, I will have to sit here talking to myself, then DH will call the men in white coats! Don't let that happen, ladies!

Dojo, yes, 12 days is the longest I have gone. I am really hoping it helps me finally get pregnant.

Glittery, don't give up. You will get your baby soon.

Rainy, I know what you mean. You want there to be a problem, so that yiu have a reason for not being pregnant, but you also don't want there to be one!

Nomio230 · 11/05/2015 21:16

Love your new reg, Ibeka!

Rainy34 · 11/05/2015 21:19

nomio yeah exactly, can't bloody win!!

Thanks sammy

lucieloos · 11/05/2015 21:30

Sammy the AMH test can be done at any time in your cycle. It's just a simple blood test which will give them an indication of your ovarian reserve and they will then use this to work out what level of medication to give you. It normally takes around 7-10 days to come back if you are having it done privately or a lot longer on the NHS!

I've kind of put myself forward for the hysteroscopy thing. It's like a little camera they put in your uterus to have a good look around for cysts and other things that could lower the chances of success with treatment. I don't really think they will find anything or I'm hoping that they won't but just because we've had a failed cycle I kind of think it would make sense to have a look around in there to double check before we go spending anymore money. I'm really stressing myself out with it at the moment though as can't work out whether to just go private or if the gp will help or to go to czech for it. For some reason I'm nervous about going to the gp tomorrow and asking for it. I really don't know why. Just thinking she might tell me to bugger off and I don't need it lol.

Ibeka, I'm ok thanks, I still have up and down days. I will think I'm ok and am done with the crying and then a few days later it will hit me again and I will feel sad and get all negative like it's never going to work but try to push that aside and focus on the positives as much as I can. It's one hell of a rollercoaster though! I can't imagine how people do this time and time again!

ibeka · 11/05/2015 21:30

Oh, Rainy I missed that your appointment is tomorrow. Good luck. Have you made a note of everything you want to ask?

And pixa good luck for yours too.

I hope you both get some answers, but ones that are easily fixable.

And DizzyNorthern Flowers Cake Wine Sorry it looks like everyone's least favourite auntie is on her way...

ibeka · 11/05/2015 21:35

Lucie, don't be nervous about seeing the GP. Explain your reasoning and the worst that can happen is she says no... then we can set purdie on her I know what you mean about thinking you're OK then finding yourself crying again. I know it's not much consolation but time and focusing on the 'what next' is probably the best healer. I can't imagine doing IVF once, let alone more than that so you are already incredibly strong in my book! Will be looking forward to an update from the visit tomorrow.
