The Rules of Bumsnet

  1. Don't talk about Bumsnet
  2. Get the sperm in the hole
  3. Don't LPB. It's frowned upon.

Sorry AF arrived for you too spinning. It really is shit Sad

It is proper AF Dizzy. Oh well onwards to the next cycle and at least I was on time and didn't get the chance to build my hopes up. Fx for you.

ibeka · 11/05/2015 12:54

Oh spinning and dizzy so sorry for AF. I had such high hopes for you Sad. Drown the witch with lots of Wine...

wooly I didn't get a positive opk until cd15 then seem to have ovulated cd16, which seems a bit quick... At least later ovulation is a good sign for a healthier egg? I read a piece of research earlier that found 30-31 day cycles to have the highest incidence of positive pregnancy outcomes so not all doom and gloom having a longer cycle...

purds I had a dream last night you had two new tots called Athur and Albert... Must be losing the plot to have MN dreams!!

tessie, hope you are settling back into your other home ok and have taken back a stash of OPKs etc.! Smile

sparkly thinking of you lovely Flowers

Here is my chart for those of you that like that kind of thing.... The OPKs, temps and pain yesterday lead me to believe I am now 1dpo... Do you concur? Do I need to shag tonight I've really had enough of it Hmm

How are my cycle buddies sunny and boris 2 days til POAS! I think I'm out as I have my usual pre AF cramps, sore boobs and zits Sad

so much to catch up on but great news Purdie !

BabyBumpHopeful · 11/05/2015 13:54

Purds yeah its been a rough couple of months so little time to stress about TTC (good thing perhaps??) = less posting. I saw your dad has agreed to help. Fingers crossed for you!!

I got confirmation yesterday that my evil sibling is indeed pregnant, due in September with her first. Pretty sure it was an accident as she's not in a relationship that I'm aware of, and hasn't been for a while.

I've added you spinning so talk to you all soon!

Nomio230 · 11/05/2015 14:19

Hi lovelies,

Spinning, I am so sorry AF has arrived. I was really getting excited for you.

Dizzy Flowers

Plum, I can definitely recommend the progesterone. I am now 12DPO with no sign of AF, rather than my usual 9 days. I have had nasty side effects, but you might be lucky and escape them. Smile

autonomousplum · 11/05/2015 14:31

Omg nomio! That's amazing! I am soo-oooooo pleased for you!
I checked purds and nomio and the script is for dydrogesterone which is prescribed for luteal phase deficiency at 10x lower limit than normal or micro prog. I've done some research over the last hour and Apparently the 2011 Cochrane review says that it can sometimes be more effective than micronised prog for lps. I think it might be off label in the UK for lps as the nhs seems to use it for menopause and hrt, which may explain why the gp gave it to me as a private non-nhs prescription. Inteee-eeeeresting!

autonomousplum · 11/05/2015 14:32

So yes my prescription was for 20mg per day. Smile

Hairstylisttoboris · 11/05/2015 14:40

dizzy and spinning I'm sorry for AF.

purdie wooooaahhh! Amazing.

tessie great to hear from you.

melon I'm ok. No symptoms either way. I have two pairs of white linen trousers here, so AF is bound to arrive at the least helpful time ever!

MelonMelon · 11/05/2015 14:48

boris I'm sporting white pants today in a similar fate inducing move. Do you have any tests with you? I've been well behaved and not caved yet but boredom might get me later Confused

Hairstylisttoboris · 11/05/2015 14:54

I haven't got any tests here and no where to go shopping. So I'll be clueless until Saturday or AF arrives whichever is the sooner....

Nomio230 · 11/05/2015 14:54

Interesting, Plum. I really hope it works for you.

Boris/Melon, I am loving your white trousers to induce AF trick!

glitteryflange · 11/05/2015 15:27

Nomio you had a low LP didn't you? And you are taking Prog to lengthen it? Can I ask how you got it? Doctors?
12dpo and no sign of AF that's really good!

My cycles are still averaging 27 days despite weight loss. puts me at an average LP of 9-11 days. That's too short isn't it? Was you the same?

Nomio230 · 11/05/2015 15:40

Glittery, my cycles were 27 days with only a 9 day LP, so similar to yours. I have lost weight, but it didn't change anything.

I got my prescription from the same Dr that prescribed my Clomid. I had to go privately because the NHS is taking forever with my referral. I am not sure if the NHS Drs will even prescribe it.

I have had some nasty side effects, but think I have just been unlucky. They are definitely working though, which is the main thing!

Nomio230 · 11/05/2015 16:08

I probably wouldn't to be honest. I know how tempting it is to try anything that might work, but when I looked into it I found lots of sites advising against natural progesterone creams. Apparently they are not regulated at all, and can really mess up your hormones.

Are you seeing any kind of fertility specialist at the minute? If so, I would ask them about it. They might be able to write you a private prescription.

Nomio230 · 11/05/2015 16:12

Having said that, Glittety, I am sure there was someone on MN a couple of months back that was using it & got a BFP. Maybe you should start a thread to ask about it.

glitteryflange · 11/05/2015 16:22

I did a MN search and that's how I found that link.
I have an appointment with my GP on the 26th May following my hospital visit when they only told me I was fat.
??

I just want to make sure I'm not blocked or have any hormone imbalances. I don't want IVF. To me that's a last resort really.

DH has his SA on the 12th May too.

In other news I have finished my AF today.

In other other news I can't wait to finish bloody work.

Thanks for the advice nomio. I will defo speak to my GP when I see her next.

Nomio230 · 11/05/2015 16:51

I still can't believe they said that to you! So rude!

I hope you get a nice, sympathetic Dr next time.

DizzyNorthernBird · 11/05/2015 17:18

Grumpy grumpy grumpy grumpy.

Brown cm and cervix has dropped Hmm. Getting so fucking bored of this every month. Been waiting for cramps to kick in all day. Grrrr.

Sorry for me post. Will check in properly later.

purdiepie · 11/05/2015 17:20

Is this thread dying do you think? It used to be so busy.

Glittery, you need a proper fertility consultation and I know you'll get one coz you iz feisty innit. Those prog creams are utterly useless. You need them there Danny bullets that are dead easy to get off tinternet

purdiepie · 11/05/2015 17:23

*fanny not Danny!

Dizzy, it is just soul-destroying isn't it. Funny tv tonight and some scrummy goodies. I'm so sorry, love.

Queenbee30 · 11/05/2015 17:46

snorting at Danny fanny bullets

I never know whether my cervix is up, down, soft, hard, open, closed or singing a bloody ballad. And I have a right good rummage up there.

Queenbee30 · 11/05/2015 17:47

Don't kill the angry pubes Sad

Queenbee30 · 11/05/2015 17:48

Bloody MN adverts - nursing bras at the top and seraphine maternity wear at the bottom. I'm trying MNHQ, I really am!
