The Rules of Bumsnet

  1. Don't talk about Bumsnet
  2. Get the sperm in the hole
  3. Don't LPB. It's frowned upon.

dizzy I've heard of itchy feet being a symptom of athelete's foot.

nomio it's just so annoying they're making you go through this wait again! Such a waste of time and money on all sides. Sad

purdie it really is very bad manners to come and announce that then piss off again.... details please!!!

Definitely distinct pain on my left side, but I'm a bit confused as OPK only turned positive last night...

ibeka · 10/05/2015 19:13

Oh! I take that back, purdie Grin

Mummyofonesofar · 10/05/2015 19:22

Purdey ARRGGGHHH!!!! So pleased for you!!!

Rainy34 · 10/05/2015 19:24

Oh Purdie your dad is the best, so excited for you!! go and get bubba number two!! xx

purdiepie · 10/05/2015 19:24

No, Night. You don't book flights until the last minute, unfortunately, as egg collection all depends on the donor and how stimulation has gone. I have, however, already emailed the co-ordinator we dealt with last time at Reprogenesis in Brno to ask if our last donor would be wiling and able to give us her eggs again; it would be nice for Nancy to have a full genetic sibling, although it's not imperative. If the donor says no - or she has already donated too many times since Nancy - then we will go to the famous Gennet in Prague. Whoooooo!!

I fancy cycling in December with a view to a September birth Smile

Figroller · 10/05/2015 19:27

Great news Purdie how exciting Smile

eskimoflo · 10/05/2015 19:27

Yay Purdie! Hoorah for generous dads Grin Nancy is gonna have a sibling! How exciting Grin

ThePug · 10/05/2015 19:32

Oh my goodness Purdie what a turn up! Maybe it's karma for all this voluntary work you're doing to help the poor IT deficient people of Chorley Grin And on that note, will you now stick with the placement and try to get a few months of paid work in before going off to get t'babby so you have some spare cash?

nightandthelight · 10/05/2015 19:34

Wow purdie this is all so exciting! Love that you can pick when you would like the baby to be born Grin

loopylou1984 · 10/05/2015 19:38

Oh Purdie, that's amazing! Go daddy Purds!!! Xx

Mummyofonesofar · 10/05/2015 19:43

Purdey it would be great if you can get the same donor but either way - it's amazing news. I am very happy for you and your DH

purdiepie · 10/05/2015 19:47

Aww, thanks, everyone Grin It's lovely that you are so excited for me. Night, there is method in my madness: knowing I am predestined to PND in the early weeks of post-partum motherhood, I would feel much better if the weather was not horrific when I am at my worst; When winter descends proper, the tot would be 4-6 months old, which is the easy-peasy age of babyhood (the Gina Ford routine is well established) and I won't mind the miserable nights so much; When baby is at the difficult teething stage (post-nine months in Nancy's case) and when they are learning so much their brains go bananas and your tot loses all semblance of routine, it will be summer time and the water in the canal won't be too cold when I throw myself in as a suicide bid.

nightandthelight · 10/05/2015 19:49

Impeccable logic there Purdie Grin I hope (and pray) that you will get your babby/ies as planned in September!

autonomousplum · 10/05/2015 19:54

Good Lordy but you lot natter! I'll just get straight to the last page and say whoohoo to a holiday baby trip for purds! Excellent news! Love the idea of a genetic sib for Nancy!
nomio I'll have to check but I think my prescription was for 20 a day! Big difference to 200! I haven't filled it yet as I'm not near ov yet and will only take it after but seems a huge difference no?

Woolly84 · 10/05/2015 19:55
