The Rules of Bumsnet

  1. Don't talk about Bumsnet
  2. Get the sperm in the hole
  3. Don't LPB. It's frowned upon.

Welcome back, Pixa Smile

Boz, are you okay? Keep talking to us and remember we love you loads Thanks

Sparkly, Thanks Bless you xx

Yay! for appointments, Rainy.

What a miserable day. Queen, I wanted to sow some cornflower seeds but it keeps threatening to pour down. Baby slept through 7-7 last night. She hasn't done that since she started teething and it feels magnificent Smile

purdiepie · 09/05/2015 11:54

Night, what you scared of, sugartits? Oh..I kind of remember your parents are a little..erm..set in their ways/have high expectations of their daughter? Well..just remember you are a darling and have done brilliantly in your life thus far and have a grown-up new house with a grown-up hubby who has been promoted. More impressive you have EPO in your arsenal. Can't get better than that at 26, surely?

We started AI-ing on CD9 (I'm CD11 today) and we are going for it eod until past ov. My Clearblue ov sticks are giving empty circles of barrenness. Do any of you feel the sex/AI is wasted when fertility is so low? What's the flipping point? Sad

nightandthelight · 09/05/2015 12:05

You have made me feel much better Purdie thank you :) when they ask me what my next career move is I'm not sure they will be that impressed with the baby response Grin

Your AI plan sounds great! Don't think of it as wasted, you never know which sperm will make it!

Hairstylisttoboris · 09/05/2015 12:22

night the baby answer is what I'd be screaming in my head too! But out of my mouth would come corporate drivel.

I'm ok thanks purdie I get very anxious travelling, around leaving home. Now I'm safely at the gate at heathrow I'm fine thanks.

loopylou1984 · 09/05/2015 12:37

Purds I feel like that sometimes too... I hate those empty circles!
Although with regard to ttc sex when neither of us is in the mood I kind of think what's the point even at peak fertility time... It doesn't work anyway! Hmm Xx

eskimoflo · 09/05/2015 12:52

Purds The empty circles are shit. Sad

After my fixed smiley last Thursday (the day before my HyCoSy), I thought I'd give the OPKs a bit of a break, but then couldn't hold off them too long and started POAS again on Thursday. Thursday = CD17 for me. It was an empty circle. Last night I discovered some EWCM, the first in a long time, and lo and behold, this morning I got a flashing smiley. Smile So we DTD this morning. Still not holding out much hope that my body knows WTF is going on, but gave it a go anyway.

Nomio230 · 09/05/2015 13:18

You never know, Eskimo. Weird and wonderful things happen in the world of TTC!

Boris, I hope you have a good trip. We will all be thinking of you.

Pixa, welcome back. I am really pleased you are feeling a bit happier now.

Spinning, I would be so proud if that were my cousin. I love the way he was so blatant about it & took ages lining the shot up just right!

I am worried I am coming down with a cold. DH woke up in the night with a really bad throat & now mine feels all thick & swollen too. Sad

Nomio230 · 09/05/2015 13:21

Night, you are an amazing person & you have accomplished a lot. Don't let your parents make you feel bad. We love you lots. And your parents smell of poo, so there!

loopylou1984 · 09/05/2015 13:35

Eskimo - I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you lovely Smile

Nomio - I hope you're not getting sick! Lots of vitamin c to fight it off, and gargle some mouth wash!

I'm feeling crampy today, it's higher up than usual and about 2 and a half weeks too early. It must be caused by the HyCoSy I guess, but weird that I didn't have it yesterday. I poas (opk) just in case but it wasn't positive, although there was a line which I don't normally see THIS early. Did anyone else get these cramps after theirs? And spotting a little still? Xx

Pikz · 09/05/2015 13:35

Pug so lovely to have you back. It will happen I promise

Nomio big hugs... The film sounds funny

Butter chunks lovely digi result!

Frog just shag... You never know

How's the head Eskimo?

Spinning how are you? When you testing? Late af!!

Sammy my spotting was probably on and off for 4-5 days

Pixa welcome back

Boris happy travels... Deep breaths and try and enjoy some of it

Queenbee is that bathroom clean?

Rainy good luck with blood tests

Night get that epo down you

Purdie bet you feel brand new. Yep negative ppl are awful. I really lost the will after 18 days of them last month!

Eskimo get dtd you never know the hsy may have spurred things on!

Nomio get well soon

Well I wasn't convinced by yesterday's cross hairs and I was right not to be. Woke up to ov pain, pos opk and ewcm. Cd15/16 ov sounds ace to me with a 12 day lp makes for a lovely 27/38 day cycle. Just managed a quickie while baba naps

Off out tonight to drink prosecco with my best mate as we haven't had a night out since her 8 month old was conceived so 1.5 years of booze and chatting to make up for!

Nomio230 · 09/05/2015 13:40

Sammy, as far as I can remember, I just had a bit of spotting & pains on the actual day.

Pikz, sounds like a great night. Have a good time.Smile

Spinning, POAS!

loopylou1984 · 09/05/2015 14:39

Thanks girls. I think the spotting has stopped now, it's just the cramps!
Hope everyone's having a good weekend. Xx

spinningirl10 · 09/05/2015 15:55

Sammy, pleased the bleeding has stopped and hope the cramps bugger off soon.

Pikz and Nomio, I can't poas because I don't have any! I'm in Tenerife, if no af by Monday I'll buy one. Dp is getting his hopes up but I'm not!

ibeka · 09/05/2015 15:57

So I have woken to a positive OPK and EWCM today and guess what.... DP is on the other side of London for the weekend with his beer-brewing companion Angry. He'd better be back pronto tomorrow morning and not too hung over!!

Bozza, I hope your travels are going OK. It must be horrible feeling anxious. I hope the time away flies by and you are able to enjoy some of the sights. I was shocked by that election result too. He was a fantastic MP in the 20 odd years I lived there. I actually now live just over the constituency border so am in a newly Labour seat.

eskimo your post last night was so pissed sweet it made me tear up! Very pleased to hear of your flashing smily - get going!! I have a friend who had no period for 8 months and when she went for a dildocam to look at her bits there was a 6 week foetus in there... so I reckon any DTDing is worth a go.

night hope the day with parentals is OK. They have to realise you are a big girl now and make your own decisions and, to date, that seems to be working out pretty well for you!

spinning I wish I could work out what your cousin has been doing...!

figroller gin and twirls - great! I bought this thermometer/OPK combo and so far it was worked pretty well, even with my cat delighting in knocking it off my bedside table each night resulting in a frantic I'm-not-really-moving grapple down the side of the bed in the mornings.

I'm having a baking day in preparation for seeing two friends with birthdays this week later.

eskimoflo · 09/05/2015 16:36

Thanks ladies. I am not getting my hopes up, but as you say Nomio, miracles do happen!

Pikz The head is fine Smile I didn't have that much, but the Prosecco did go straight to my head! Yay for the ace cycle Grin

ibeka Thank you for that story of success. I've kind of got used to limbo now and it isn't like the early days, when I was on knicker-watch 24/7, but it's really good to hear of people in my situation who have had their BFPs. Photos of the baking treats please!

Nomio That sounds rubbish. Hope it's just a fleeting thing. You have been through the mill recently haven't you? Flowers

Night Hope that the parents' visit isn't too arduous Flowers

Boris Have a good time on your trip. Hope the anxiety wears off quickly and you enjoy it when you get there Flowers

Nomio230 · 09/05/2015 17:35

If anyone needs any pregnancy tests the Superdrug own brand 2 packs are 2 for £8 at the minute. I have never used them before, but have heard good things on here, so stocked up.

Spinning, keep us updated! I have my fingers crossed for you.

DizzyNorthernBird · 09/05/2015 18:04

Hi y'all, hope y'alls are ok.

12dpo here. Feeling a bit grumpy as I'm sure AF will be here by Monday (even tho ff reckons Thurs but I think ff is wrong! ) still zero symptoms apart from very mild cramping, so mild it's barely noticeable, and boobs are only 'just' starting to hurt now. I always thought I'd 'just know' if i was pg and this month i don't feel much different to any other month pre AF. Boo.

DP will be disappointed, not because I'm not pg but because he thinks he put in extra effort this time around.....I reckon it'll be back to 2 days dtd next cycle, if I'm lucky!!

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend, I've been stuck at work all day doing boring stuff. Need a nap now Smile

Nomio230 · 09/05/2015 18:24

Don't give up hope yet, Dizzy. Lots of people don't have any symptoms at that stage.

Sparkly, I hope you are feeling a bit better today.

autonomousplum · 09/05/2015 19:07

pixa Flowers
Sod it I'm going to bed now. Sees ya all in dem mornin'!

Nomio230 · 09/05/2015 20:27

Where is everyone? I don't think I have ever known it so dead on here.

glitteryflange · 09/05/2015 20:31

Aw! Butterchunks! Congratulations lovely Smile

Boris safe travels. Hope you can use this trip to do a bit of soul searching and totally relax.

Sparkly hope your alright love.

I've been doing the holiday washing.
deep joy!!!

I'm CD3 and very heavy period. I'm filling a pad in two hours and dripping blood when I go loo. No pain. Feeling a bit meh.

Nomio hope your feeling better.

I'm struggling to keep up with this bus this month. Sad

glitteryflange · 09/05/2015 20:32

Dizzy have you tested yet? You holding out?

SunnyStriker · 09/05/2015 21:31

Hello you lovely lot.

I'm just here to say I'm hopping off the bus. I've kind of had an epiphiny......I don't want any more children!!

I'm very broody. I love babies and can't imagine never having anymore. However, and god knows I adore the bones of the 3 children I have, I simply don't want any more!!
I'm almost 36 and have been a mummy (and not much else) since I was 18. I really feel that I'm done now Smile

I will stalk you all read up how you're all getting on every now and then and I wish you all the very best of luck Star
