The Rules of Bumsnet

  1. Don't talk about Bumsnet
  2. Get the sperm in the hole
  3. Don't LPB. It's frowned upon.

Wow pik I missed that. 28 to 11! Wow. My soy positive opk went from cd 25 to 19. what did I do wrong?

purdiepie · 08/05/2015 16:04

Nomio, you are not getting further away from a bfp..you are closer than ever, so please stay rational and don't let the demons in xx

Boz, I always do things like that alone.

Pikz, when did you ov the cycle before last?

purdiepie · 08/05/2015 16:05

I went to my lap and dye alone, too.

Figroller · 08/05/2015 16:14

Hi Purdie I love fig rolls too, but no gun. Smile I am 32 just starting cycle 14 but only on month 10 I have short cycles.

Sorry you are feeling like that Nomino. This ttc is not easy Flowers

Nomio230 · 08/05/2015 17:03

Arse, just typed out a big post & lost it.

Just been to the Drs again. My progesterone was 111 and they were worried something was wrong until I explained about the pessaries!

loopylou1984 · 08/05/2015 17:23

Fig - glad your doctors on the case Smile. How long are your cycles usually then?

Nomio - i feel like that every month, it's so tough, and you're amazing for keeping going like you do. Listen to Purdie though, don't let this knock you down for long. Thinking of you. Xx

Boris - dh has come with me to everything except the HyCoSy as he couldn't get the day off and I didn't want to wait any longer! How was the dildocam?

Damn I should have got a picture if my 'lovely' ovaries!

Nomio230 · 08/05/2015 17:29

Thanks, Sammy, it is so nice to know that someone understands.

We could print a calendar-The Ovaries of Bumsnet!

loopylou1984 · 08/05/2015 17:30

Yes and we could fun all our treatments with the profits... Obviously the whole world are going to want to buy it! Xx

loopylou1984 · 08/05/2015 17:31

*fund

Figroller · 08/05/2015 17:44

Sammy they are usually between 22-24 days but last one was 29 and one before that was 17 Confused

Hairstylisttoboris · 08/05/2015 18:02

fig they sound short! Def see what your doctor can do. I length earned my cycle from 22 days to 28 by taking soy cd 4-8 and vit b and pregnancies but really I shouldn't be messing with my cycles without doctors advice. Also I'm still not up duffed-ded so it's not worked.

glittery love the new name

sparkly on the off chance you see this thinking if you lovely and praying for health.

Dildo cam was ok. She didn't tell me anything, said I need to speak to the doctors. She looked concerned and spent ages poking the probe into the far flung corners of my vag. She wouldn't even give me a photo cow she did tell me she knew my house and that I live in a lovely place. I want to know my Fallopian tubes are lovely not my house, ffs. I don't care about bricks, I do care about reproductive organs. Sigh.

ibeka · 08/05/2015 18:04

Hello all. figroller, welcome. You can purchase your ticket with twirls or gin.... Which do you bring?

bozza that job really seems to be getting in the way of your happiness. I vote for local, easy, 4 days then you can dedicate more time to things you enjoy. I say that because that is what I keep telling myself I should do. It's hard though, when you've spent years prioritising a career so get your quandary.

sammy great news re. the IVF options. I'm pleased for you Smile

purdles, fantastic complement from your boss! Well done you!

Cd14 here. Temp looks to be rising but no positive opks yet and only one smidgen of egg white a couple of days ago... Getting impatient now! Why does it all take so long.... In other news I think I may have given myself selenium poisoning. Possibly 4 Brazil nuts a day is overkill.... Cutting down to 2.

Oh, and thank FUCK it's Friday even if the election results are highly depressing

glitteryflange · 08/05/2015 18:41

Oh Boris! I have my glitteryflaps crossed for good results following her giving your innards a good going over. At least she was being errrrr detailed? small mercies and all that
Don't fret! Stay positive. We will get there together. x

Nomio230 · 08/05/2015 18:50

Boris, my woman didn't say much at the time & just told me to speak to my Dr. I don't think it is anything to worry about, but think they are not supposed to for legal reasons. Often they are trained in how to do the procedure, but not how to interpret the results.

Ibeka, I eat four a day. Should I be worried?

Sparkly123 · 08/05/2015 19:16

I hate that im missing everythingggggg!!!!! Arghhhh!!! I still haveng looked back at all! Stuck in bed and energy levels are low, keep coming on to read back and manage about two posts! I promise im thinking of you all and missing the Bumsnet madness! Any BFPs?! And Tessie I remembered today's date!! I was to hold your hand!! I'm sorry. Hope all went well????

I see not too many pages have gone, so - I know I've said this twice now- but I really am going to try catch up with you all as much as possible! Sending positive sparkly thoughts to all Star

autonomousplum · 08/05/2015 19:23

sparkly FlowersFlowersFlowers
boris perhaps she meant your uterus was lovely when she talked about you "house" since she wasn't allowed to make any pronouncements due to regulations but wanted to reassure you? So maybe not bad news at all? Hmm

eskimoflo · 08/05/2015 19:27

Boris Good luck for the results. My u/s person was reluctant to commit to anything and just said that my ovaries were slightly enlarged. Stupid fat ovaries

Purdie Thankfully, both my dogs are insured. I say thankfully because my girl dog has ongoing kidney problems. Up until now, my boy was the healthy one. I just pay out on my credit card, send off a claims form and then they reimburse me. Grin Lucky really, as getting the practice in now will ensure that I can fill in my own medical insurance forms, which, let's face it, will be the only way of securing medical care under a Tory government Yay for confidence-boosting compliments from your boss Grin

autonomous Thank you so much for the menstrual update. Would you say that CD5 blood was more of a scarlet, crimson or vermilion? I really miss that witch.

Does anyone think I should try soy insoflavons? I don't think so, really, as I have no cycles and it might screw me up even more... plus I wouldn't know when to start taking it, as I'm past the early cycle days now Confused Should I just leave it to my next consultant appointment? I don't know when that will be, as waiting to hear back from the HyCoSy from last week at the moment. I do have CD21 bloods on Monday though, so will have a bit more info after that. Smile

purdiepie · 08/05/2015 20:35

Bozzer, stop making me chortle when I am trying to simpafize wiv your hexperience. I wonder what she was confounded over? What do you mean she liked your place? I want to know where you live, please, it sounds like you're in some listed building or summat. I demand photos on facebook...

Figroller, are you charting your temperatures? I would deffo do it if I were you as it sounds as though you don't ovulate regularly or perhaps have a luteal phase defect. Bet you're glad you joined us now, huh? Hmm

Sonographerererererers don't say nowt coz they iz fick innit. Seriously, they don't have an actual clue about how we work, just where our bits are Hmm

Ibeka, it's surprising what my new manager comes out with when his cock is in my mouth

Th'Eskimo, you taking soy isoflavones would be like a eunuch fondling his knackers: quite, quite pointless. P.s..have you ever thought of tortoises?

Hairstylisttoboris · 08/05/2015 20:56

Thanks ladies for the reasurance. I'm glad sonography dont share much with anyone.

eskimo don't do soy. Stick with what the doctor advises. I think they'd make things worse and send you on a hormonal rollercoaster of the unhelpful kind.

purdiepie I live in tourist central, most people round here know my cottage, it's on a lovely street in a lovely town. It's nowt special just typically English.

ibeka I'm shocked at the politics round your way. I though my old mp was great and set for life in that constituency, I had such a shock that he is out. Not sure if you are in the same constituency but they all changed so much. I can't get over it.

Nomio230 · 08/05/2015 21:07

Eskimo, I definitely don't think you should take soy. I think after you have your bloods done & get referred to a specialist they will put you on Clomid & you will soon be ovulating like a pro!

No AF yet. Smile

Pikz · 08/05/2015 21:25

Bozza 4 days a week close to home was the best decision I ever made for me, my family and my mental health just sayin

Welcome fig you sound like your having as much fun as me.

Purdue i ov cd19 on the cycle before the really shit one

Sparkly get rest princess

Errrr no Eskimo no soy for you. I'm only trying it as my next step is private clomid cycles so am saving up and thought I'd try whilst waiting

Figroller · 08/05/2015 21:42

Ibeka I'm bringing gin and twirls if that's ok.

What type of thermometer should I buy for this temping lark? Does it have to be a special one?

I am glad I joined you are all so lovely and welcoming I did stalk this thread for a while until I plucked up the courage to join

Hairstylisttoboris · 08/05/2015 21:44

fig you need a digital thermometer to two decimal places. They are really cheap on Amazon (about a fiver with opks etc thrown in for free). Be warned though they are more fragile than they look so don't drop or bash them,

Figroller · 08/05/2015 21:46

Thanks Boris will have a look now.

Hairstylisttoboris · 08/05/2015 21:53

Can I share your gin now please fig?
