HaHa, me too beaky. They are both Jon, according to Wikipedia. There are more photos of the fictional one thoughWink

Tiger, love that you miss the dog, I don't think DH will miss out cats much though. Their daily 5.30 alarm call can get a bit tedious, but it's hard to be annoyed when they are so purry and cuddly.

Minx have a fun weekend and good luck with the application form.

Gill, thanks for the great list!

happylass · 12/06/2015 15:54

I thought it was Jon Snow the news guy too Grin. Just had to Google. Nolly your crush is far easier on the eye (sorry other Jon!)

Wow, happy I bet you weren't expecting that after your experiences with Nhs Wales so far!! Great news!!

beaky 7k? Ouch. Are you sure you don't want to join the berry holiday to Athens? Grin Wink

tiger I would also miss the dog far more than dh, we've had to leave him with a friend this weekend while we're off to a family wedding (DH's family) and I'm missing him already!!

Gill great list Smile

minx cider and burgers sounds good, have a great weekend Smile

beakybeak · 12/06/2015 20:24

5.30 Kuma!! Arghh! My puppy now sleeps in later than me Smile

Barking I know. It's such a lot of money. One round with a private clinic up here is £4, and £7 at a specialist low amh clinic is for 3 rounds and like you said before, I need to go where is going to best for me. I'm still researching though, (Athens and Prague too) and I'm not committing to anything until after my follow up. Are you expecting your biopsy results soon?

lucieloos · 12/06/2015 21:52

Wow lots to catch up on!

Happy, I'm so pleased you can get going with your nhs round in August! Not long to wait.

Beaky, sounds like you have lots of options on the go. You should try Reprofit too in Brno that is where I go and have found them pretty good.

I'm just waiting for AF to arrive next week and then begin my stimms. I had the results of my hidden infection test from serum today and tested positive for hidden c and bacteria load so have 25 days of doxycycline and azithromycin for both myself and DH. They said that is their most efficient protocol but I may also need to take extra for any future ivf treatment incase of chronic infection.

barkingtreefrog · 12/06/2015 23:00

Lucie is it ok to take the pills and be stimming then? I thought they'd be againt antibiotics at the same time as ivf. Good that you're not having to wait Smile.

beaky biopsy was last Monday and he said 3-4 weeks for results, so essentially the end of June.

I'm struggling tonight. This time last year I was pg and still teaching, and had been trying to hold it together on a residential with 40 kids whilst not knowing whether I was about to lose another baby as I'd been spotting. It's my birthday on Sunday and last year I spent the whole weekend of my birthday making plans for both scenarios. A year later and we're no further forward. Since we started ttc it seems like each year it couldn't possibly get worse, and then it does Sad.

lucieloos · 12/06/2015 23:11

No it completely fine to take them at the same time as stimms. They said that I should take them for future stimms too incase of any further flare ups. It's doesn't affect eggs or anything but could help with implantation. Lots of ivf clinics actually prescribe short courses of doxy for this reason.

beakybeak · 12/06/2015 23:11

Aw Barking Flowers it doesn't ever seem to get easier and I really feel for you after everything you've been through. I'm really hoping your frostie is the sticky one. Wine for tonight though, and a little hug.

lucie thanks for that, I'll look at reprofit and am looking at Gennet too. I'm wanting a clinic that is good for low amh. Your cycle has come round really quickly, fx for this one to be the one for you. Remind me how it works with your cycle if you don't mind, did you go for a consultation over there originally? And do you just need to stay for EC, then ET?

lucieloos · 12/06/2015 23:29

I looked at Gennet too beaky but they have a minimum of 6 months waiting list which was no good for me. At Reprofit you just contact one of the coordinators and they will give you a questionnaire to complete which they then pass on to the doctor. The doctor emails you and sets your protocol and sorts your prescription and then you're good to go. It's all really easy. I normally go out just before egg collection. I am staying 6 nights this time and flying home on the day of transfer

WildflowerMarmalade · 12/06/2015 23:31

Oh no Barking so sorry you are feeling down. Sad Things can't stay this bad forever, they just can't. Hang on in there. Flowers

Happy I forgot to say that it's great news about your August start date. Nice work.

Beaky some clinics may do Skype consultations? Might that work for you.

Lucie I had Doxy during stimming for a week. Horrible stuff, had to take it with food or it upset my stomach.

HampshireBlues · 13/06/2015 16:21

Afternoon all,

I hope you don't mind me hanging around here for a bit? It is all a bit scary and I'm still worried that it'll all go wrong.

Barking sorry that you are feeling down at the moment, it can get totally overwhelming Flowers

Tiger glad you had a window of opportunity to tell your Dad about things. I don't know why people feel the need to say such things; I don't believe that wanting something stops you from being able to achieve it.

Kuma I am keeping everything crossed for a cyst free scan and that you can get going.

Minx sorry that the new job getting is not going well. I really hate it when you don't get decent feedback after interviews. I always try to give constructive feedback and an honest insight into why candidates were unsuccessful.

Happy glad that you are starting on the yellow brick road in August; it'll soon be here.

Beaky my DH went spare when we first looked at the cost of IVF. Once we got started though he settled down (still can't believe that we have spent £17k getting to this point!). I think that you just need to bite the bullet sometime.

Lucie glad you've had the result back from serum. Good luck with the doxy and azith I hope that they help. Hope AF pitches up in a timely manner!

tigerdog · 13/06/2015 19:31

Of course you should hang around hb and do keep us posted on your progress! Keep thinking about how crap my dad was really, no real acknowledgment that we've been through a tough time. I guess that's one of the main reasons I don't talk about things outside of Berry hq!

barking sorry to hear you're struggling. Cake and Wine to cheer you up. This is so hard, it's not surprising you have down days. I really hope this is your upturn year. I'm not looking forward to my third birthday since ttc for much the same reasons. I thought of you today as I made a Victoria Sponge with rice flour - it's quite good!

Hope you're enjoying the burgers and cider minx

beaky how are you doing?

I prefer the white haired Jon snow nolly! How are you?

wild how are you feeling at the moment?

lucie I've been reading a bit about the hidden C tests - seems a few people credit it with their bfps. Fingers crossed that it's your missing link.

Afm, spotting today so looks like af will arrive on time tomorrow. Repeating bloods this week to get my referral on its way.

We're treating ourselves to tapas tonight and its byo so a very nice bottle of red will be coming with us GrinWine

beakybeak · 13/06/2015 22:43

Lucie thanks for the info, the more the better. Hope you find the antibis help this time.

HB off course hang around and WOW!! £17k!!! Jesus. I really would go bankrupt then id loose my job (as well as everything else!) I am going to have to fund any treatment via credit card and hope I can pay it off in the not to distant future. Risky I know. Did you and your dh get a holiday booked?

Tiger how did your tapas and byob go? Sounds lovely! I'm ok thanks for asking, a bit of great one minute then sad the next. I'm trying to be positive but AF arrived very very painfully tonight! Maybe your dad will be a bit more empathetic next time you see him after he has had a chance to reflect? Hopefully knowing about his neighbours daughters will help him realise, especially with your brother too.

Wild how are you feeling? Did you get some extra meditations/hypnotherapys sorted out?

Barking how are you feeling? Flowers is your dad any better?

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

WildflowerMarmalade · 13/06/2015 23:37

Mmm, a nice bottle of wine sounds lovely Tiger. I think a bit of R&R is well deserved. Absolutely loving the lemon polenta cake by the way. I free half of it when I made it and we've been having a second go at it.

Err, no Beaky I did not get anything sorted ref hypno tapes and I can feel a bit of crazy starting already...

Also Smidge - how is it going? Are you on course for transfer?

tigerdog · 14/06/2015 06:15

I tell you, I am so out of practice with this drinking malarkey - half a bottle of wine and I have been awake since 5am feeling hungover. Was very nice at the time though!

beakybeak · 14/06/2015 10:07

Tiger I had prosecco last night and feel rubbish today! We can't win can we!

WildflowerMarmalade · 14/06/2015 10:43

Prosecco Beaky? That's where you went wrong, should have been real Champagne from the actual Champagne region...Wink

beakybeak · 14/06/2015 11:22

You're right Wild, I should have known better Grin

lucieloos · 14/06/2015 11:30

Ha ha I got tipsy on a small glass of wine the other night that's how out of practice I am. DH says I'm a cheap date!

I've had a few emails from Penny at Serum about my infection results. She is so lovely. She said if I were having treatment there they would want me to take the doxy alongside my stimms and up until transfer at least. She also said that they would want me to take prednisone and intralipids as they would expect my nk cells to be raised with the infection. I'm already prescribed pred but going to ask my doctor for the intralipids now as well. I'm really pleased as I was looking for an excuse to ask her if I could try them. I will have covered absolutely everything then and won't be feeling like I wish I had tried anything else. I'm wondering now if this is why it didn't work last time when I had 2 really good blasts transferred but no implantation at all. It's made me feel a bit more hopeful anyway. Happy you should give it a go. It's a bit gross but really easy. You just send off your sample and wait for the results to be emailed through. I think if this cycle is not successful I will consider going to serum for the hysteroscopy. They are meant to be the bees knees and I could have some inflammation or scarring from this infection apparently. I told penny that if this cycle wasn't successful I was hoping to try serum next time and she said I really hope we never get to meet for the very best of reasons. Bless her Smile

barkingtreefrog · 14/06/2015 21:57

tiger This is my 4th birthday since ttc. I thought at 32 we were trying early enough. Now I'm 36 and it was a year ago I was too old for egg sharing Sad. Pregnant at 34, pregnant at 35, and still no baby and no bump either at 36 Angry.

I'm afraid I was on the prosecco on Saturday at the wedding as well, no champagne for me either lady wild Wink.
Managed to escape the hangover as I ate so much food (I was minesweeping desserts Blush) the alcohol didn't stand a chance....

beakybeak · 14/06/2015 22:03

Lucie they sound very thorough. I'm going to do their questionnaire but I don't think I've got all of my most recent blood results. I can't believe Gennet have such a long waiting list.

I'm having a bout of irrational jealousy for anything and everything preggo/new baby related. It doesn't help that everything on the telly seems baby related too.

beakybeak · 14/06/2015 22:04

Massive hug Barking Flowers

Smidge001 · 15/06/2015 06:25

HB congratulations on the heartbeat! That must be so exciting. One is good enough don't you think Smile

Wild you've overtaken me Grin. I had blood and dildocam on the 12th, then bloods again on 14th and 15th (this morning) and I just got the call that I have now apparently ovulated (hmm... i was doing the OPKs daily and according to both sets this morning was my LH peak - doesn't that mean ovulation would be tomorrow?).

So anyway, I start the Crinone on Wednesday evening, (one per night), have another blood test on Friday (to check Progesterone) and then the FET will be on Saturday 20th, when I'll start the Clexane. Oh crikey. Here we go again.... Confused. PLEASE let the FET be the answer...

Tiger I smiled at the fact you're clearly missing tigerdog more than MrT! But don't be too cross with your Dad. I think they just say these things because they're trying to make you feel better. They try to make this huge thing seem like nothing to worry about, because know they can't actually do anything to change anything and they worry like mad about us worrying! As someone else mentioned, he may also need a little time to reflect - and to understand how long you have been struggling too - that it's not just a new thing that you have brought up with him.

Kuma I shall test out a new, modern cyst-popping dance. Look out for the manic fingers and eyes Wink

minx I'm sorry you've been feeling down. Totally understand how the interview process and IVF seem similar though - both out of our control when we don't know what needs to be changed. Pah. Fingers crossed a better job will be just around the corner.

Happy woo hoo to have a date!

Gill thanks for the new list! I don't know how you manage to keep so up to date. You are clearly one well organised gal.

Nolly I have to add myself to the list of people thinking you meant the news/election man. I have now googled following beaky, happy and kumas revelations, and discovered it is the chap I saw this week on Graham Norton (we're about a month behind down under it seems!). I somehow missed the whole Game of Thrones thing when I moved out here (or that's my excuse anyway).

Barking I'm sorry you're feeling down. Flowers and Wine for you.

beakybeak · 15/06/2015 20:43

Smidge love the new cyst dance you're doing for kuma there! Confusing with the whole ovulation situation, but anyway, everything crossed for a successful FET.

Kuma when is your baseline scan? Sending lots of good luck!

Wild is it tomorrow they defrost your team? Everything crossed for you!

How's everyone else? Bit quiet in here today!

lucieloos · 15/06/2015 21:30

I've had light pink spotting today on wiping so looks like AF will be here full flow tomorrow. I'm feeling really nervous. Can't believe I'm about to start all this again!
