Love the typo Happy - 4/5 lines down! Smile

nolly3 · 10/06/2015 20:15

beaky so sorry your bfn was confirmed. totally rubbish. but glad you are looking around at plans. Flowers
hb YEEEAAHHAHAHAH congrats berry

happylass · 10/06/2015 20:34

Pahahaha!! Well spotted Gill. Must read before posting. Hopefully haven't made any such typos in the 400 reports I'm in the middle of writing Grin

tigerdog · 10/06/2015 21:38

I've only just done a proper read back and spotted that you're at the FC I'll hopefully be going to wild. You'll be all done by the time I get there!

Great news hb! So pleased for you Flowers

beaky I hope the FC will give you another go. You had 3 fertilised eggs - I only had 5 after a supposedly good response so you never can tell. In the meantime please do come for tea! Smile

happy good luck with your appointment tomorrow. I hope they give you some clarity - it's the uncertainty that I find so frustrating. I do think a berry meet up would be great!

Told my dad about our difficulties and IVF today. Am becoming much more open. My family aren't great at support but he did try - I had an 'in' as he was telling me about his neighbours two daughters who are both pregnant, one instadiff and one through her third round of IVF. Apparently they didn't speak for a while because the one having IVF was so upset by the instadiffers insensitivity.

tigerdog · 10/06/2015 21:39

...however I had to bite my tongue somewhat when he said that sometimes you can be too desperate for it to happen and then when you stop worrying it will happen. And that because I am from a big Italian family there can't be anything wrong with me. Hmm

barkingtreefrog · 10/06/2015 21:55

tiger Ooo, so if you move to somewhere that has a higher IVF allowance you get the extra round/s? Excellent news! Grin And well done on biting your tongue, not sure I'd have managed to be so restrained Wink

pip that woman would really upset me Angry . Seriously, not once, but thrice?!

Antonia hope you can get the op sooner than you think!

wild whoop! must feel good to finally be close to getting some on board Grin .

HB excellent news! Grin

happy I'm still here!!!! Grin Although that's not really something to be Grin about! Hope your appointment is productive tomorrow.

Hadn't realised I'd been AWOL a week. Nowt happening here. Went back to acupuncture today but can't help thinking that I'm flogging a dead horse still trying to sort out my cycles...

IamKuma · 10/06/2015 22:17

HB great news - so glad you got to see a heartbeat.

Beaky sorry to hear it was a BFN - I was the same after my failed cycles and was straight on the internet wanting to plan my next step. I think its just a way of trying to control an uncontrollable situation. I'm doing my last cycle at Gennett City Fertility - the are extremely good value - I think they probably outsource lots to their Czech clinic, but they just seem to follow everything Create does, and one of their consultants used to work there. I'll let you know how I get on as it might be another option for you. You are also welcome to have tea and cake with me :)

Tiger Glad to hear you have a new plan, I did my second cycle with UCLH / CRGH, I second Wilds comments about them being a bit disorganised, but otherwise they were OK and seemed to prescribe lots of drugs even on the NHS cycle.

Wild So exciting that you get to do your FET next week - I have high hopes for you, especially as you seem to be taking all the drugs available to woman!

Nolly hello! DH being away isn't ideal but I'll cope, I have a busy life and am good at keeping myself occupied. I dated a soldier for 6 years, during which time he never actually lived in the UK, although we had a flat together, so I am rather used to doing long distance. DH has never lived outside London so is really excited to have an opportunity to work elsewhere but still be able to come home at the end of it.

mmminx - it was indeed the Radio 4 shows - just stick IVF into a search on Iplayer radio and you'll find a load of them.

Gill hi - hope all good with you, nice to know you are still there at the back of the room :)

So, I should start my next cycle next week, which is when I anticipate AF arriving. They do the baseline scan after a couple of days then its stimms from day 5. That is of course assuming that I won't have a repeat of the last cycle and have to keep putting off for cysts. Keep all appendages crossed.

Pip grrr,

Right - better go, cats seem to have destroyed something, lots of noise but nothing broken upstairs, hopefully its not something big downstairs :-/

barkingtreefrog · 10/06/2015 22:50

Everything crossed for a cyst free scan kuma! Smile

beaky I meant to say, I'd go wherever you feel most confident. If you settle for convenience rather than the one you have most faith in, it's going to niggle. Well, it would for me anyway. The private clinic near me supposedly has a great reputation, but when I contacted them a couple of years ago I never got a reply, and that really put me off. If I'm going to a private clinic and paying them thousands of pounds I don't want to be chasing them up! I'm liking the idea of a trip to Athens...

Just a quick one to say appointment went better than expected. Will be starting treatment last week in August. Could have started straight away but I have to have a smear repeated then we're off on hols. The only thing that could throw a spanner in the works now is if this next smear comes back inconclusive again. They didn't collect enough cells last time so have had to wait 3 months before having it repeated.....

OP posts:
beakybeak · 11/06/2015 14:46

Hahaha love the typo Happy! Gosh 400 reports Sad but, brilliant news that you don't need to wait much longer! I will keep everything crossed that your smear is clear!

Tiger did you not have any frosties? It's good that you've spoken to your dad about it! Despite the unhelpful comments from him Wink also, hooray for the IVF sister! Boo to the instadiffer.

Kuma thanks for the info, I'm going to have a look at Gennet then and see what more info I can find! I'm going to come to London just to meet all of the berries never mind for IVF! I am seriously crossing everything I have for you this cycle, I really hope it works. Also crossing my fingers that there are no cysts.

Barking yes good advice, you are right. If I'm going to spend the money I don't want to do it where I have no faith in the clinic. We should definitley do berries on tour to Athens!

minx I hope you feel a bit better after the open evening. Weird that you will be there tonight and I was there this morning! Please do stick lots of tiny moustaches on the baby corridor pics! That is brilliant Grin sorry about the interviews, it's so difficult to be positive when nothing is going the way it is supposed to.

I had my blood test this morn, the nurse was lovely when she rang (obvs it was negative) and we have a follow up in about 6 weeks. May try and have a sneaky holiday before then! Dh has not taken too well to the idea of £7k for further treatment but he is a bit of a reflector and seems to be coming round after the initial shock! I just hope I'll get another round on the NHS first and til then I'm going to pound the dhea/ubiquinol/whatever else I can get my mitts on and try and get back to running etc. I feel awful after not doing anything through the IVF cycle.

Anyway, lots coming up for the berries, I don't suppose the lovely Gill would fancy doing us another runners and riders list pretty please? Grin

beakybeak · 11/06/2015 19:08

Also, more emo outbursts I'd just like to say you all have been so lovely and supportive throughout all of this and I really really appreciate it. I would be lost without you all. Thank you Smile

WildflowerMarmalade · 11/06/2015 20:06

I've just been thinking the exact same thing Beaky - the Berries are fantastic and I don't know what I'd do without you all. One glass of Rose (sorry no accent available) on the patio and I've come over all emotional. Wink

Pipbin · 11/06/2015 20:25

I would have gone completely to shit without the Berries fact!

tigerdog · 11/06/2015 21:09

wild, beaky, pip I completely agree! Amazing ladies, great support, and would have lost the plot if I'd had to go through this alone. Much love to you all!

That all sounds great happy and fingers crossed you can get on with it without delays. You've earned your NHS go for sure!!

kuma fingers crossed you get the go ahead at the baseline scan. Good luck to your DH in his new job too. I am working away at the moment. I spend 3-4 nights away from Mr T and it's fine. Monday mornings can be tough but the rest is ok. I do miss the dog terribly though!

Rose on the patio sounds lovely wild! Enjoy!

Aw minx sorry you are feeling meh. I recognise that. I go through periods where I can't see the point of anything and feel so fed up. Sounds like you're doing well at the interviews, the right one will come along. I hope the open evening goes well.

I'm sure your dh will come round beaky, Mr T is the same. I just suggest, then provide information to help him decide on his own! No frosties, so another fresh cycle. Personally I think my FC stuffed my egg quality by upping my stims unnecessarily.

One more day till the weekend - I'm pooped and can't wait to get home despite the fact I have a weekend of jobs to do!

Gillster · 11/06/2015 23:29

Well I suppose I have to earn my keep and make myself useful! The latest runners and riders are as follows:

Front runners:
Wild - doing a FET with ET likely to be Thurs 18th. All 10 frosties being defrosted on Tues and left to go to day 5 where any good unused embies will be refrozen.
Smidge - the "Thunder from Down Under" has just had an intralipid infusion and will have one remaining frostie transferred (in next couple of weeks?)
Kuma - expecting to start her final IVF cycle next week. Will be doing a natural cycle with low dose stims from day 5.

Limbering up:
Lucie - 2nd IVF cycle in Czech in July
Happy - Wales NHS have finally got their arses into gear and IVF is on the cards for end of Aug (just has to survive the end of term and get nasty smear test done then it's hols tastic so she should be in fine form.
Rain - IVF starting in July (?)
Barking - undergoing NK cell investigations with hope of starting a FET in Aug/Sept (will be kicking ass in the triathlon in the mean time)
Minx - just attended IVF info evening with hope of starting IVF in July (there could also be some moustachioed baby pictures on a wall in a certain FC in the Sunderland area - "it wasn't me guv!")
Antonia - delighted to discover that her womble doesn't consist of lime jelly however needs a lap and dye to sort her tubes out. Waiting time 3 months unless she gets a cancellation.

Having a well earned rest:
Tiger - in middle of referral to new FC in the big smoke. Looking to meet up with any visiting Berries so she can be "The Tiger Who Came To Tea." (Hopefully she'll leave you some cake if you're good)!
Beaky - the Berries' head cheerleader is having a wee rest but you won't see her resting for long, oh no, this girl has a cunning plan and will be hopefully trying to squeeze the FC (the one with the moustachioed babies) for another round due to her better than expected response. No doubt she'll also be purchasing the latest bling Lycra outfits for her cheerleading responsibilities. She'd give Cirque de Soleil a run for their money with some of the moves I bet she has up her sleeve!
Spare - having a 6 month break due to a wedding abroad in March. Will be having some much needed relaxation time and getting herself into tip top condition.

Overseeing all of the goings on in Berry HQ is our very own Pipbin - "Mother of Dragons".

Sorry if I've missed anyone. Hope details were correct at time of going to press! Hope you like the "embellishments"! Grin

Gillster · 11/06/2015 23:45

Aaarghh! Knew I'd forget someone. Sorry love (I was having a "forties moment").

Nolly - this one deals with swarthy Colombian builders by day and fantasises about John Snow by night whilst waiting for her DH to return from saving the world in August. Hopefully she'll be able to start her IVF then.

Viva la Berries!

happylass · 12/06/2015 06:56

Awww really feeling the Berry love at the moment! Every single one of you is amazing and don't you forget it! I've said it before but lesser mortals would have crumpled in a heap after what we've all been through.
Amazing list Gillster. You've really excelled yourself with this one Grin

Yes minx I know him! He is a man of few words. When he does the dildocamming he doesn't tell you anything then the nurse has to tell you instead! Did you get your dates then? I think they have become much more organised now they are working 7 days too.

Enjoy Bristol and good luck with your application!

beakybeak · 12/06/2015 12:19

Nolly I've just found out who Jon Snow is, I thought we were talking the snow haired c4 news guy!! Ahahaha Grin
