AmyFlame1986 · 30/04/2015 17:59

Hi guys, I found the new bus! Heres to a BFP in May, that would have to mean I ovulate this month, currently no smily face! dam you body

DizzyMerry · 30/04/2015 18:30

Welcome to the madhouse oddly Grin

I detest grapefruit juice and don't really like Brazil nuts but hard both this cycle.

Hairstylisttoboris · 30/04/2015 19:17

Hello! I'm here. Still feelin I'll but life goes on. Back at work :(
flat white I ve also been inundated with facebook pregnancy crap. It's enough to make me quit facebook :(

For who ever asked - I think Internet cheap opk are the way forward. They help me understand my cycle, along with my obsessive poking if my cervix and feeling for CM.

Lovely to have so many new folk on board!!

I'll be quiet for a few days. We have high maintenance Visitors staying for the whole weekend. Horror.

CarrotVan · 30/04/2015 19:18

Anyone testing over the weekend?

Pulpi - my first symptom both times has been inappropriate weeping (London Olympics opening ceremony first time, Apollo 13 this time). But both at around 7dpo

I am not a weepy person at all

Mumof1sofar · 30/04/2015 19:45

Thanks night for the May bus.

Flat, I totally know what you mean. A friend of mine announced today that she was expecting her 3rd EnvyEnvy

Welcome Carlton& oddli & good luck!

Pulpi - no! I'm on cycle 3 & cba anymore! Ttc is definitely losing its appeal... Want to be pg already!

I'm cd11 & not dtd once yet. Not expecting to ov til about cd20 though & using opks.

I managed to conceive 1st time round without either grapefruit juice or Brazil nuts so hopefully will manage this time too (though I've bought both just in case!) Blush

FlatWhiteToGo · 30/04/2015 19:57

Welcome Fay, Oddly and Carlton! Hope you don't stay on the bus too long Smile.

Grand - ha ha, that really could be a plan! Are you really obnoxious? Because it particularly seems to be my obnoxious Facebook friends who are getting knocked up Grin (joking...sort of).

Boris and Mum - it's infuriating isn't it. There seem to be loads of the "we weren't even trying" pregnancies being announced. I've come close to hiding some people's updates: the worst being a friend who recently went on a monologue on Facebook about how "grateful she was to have DD" and how she "felt so sorry for all the people who don't get to be mummies and daddies because it's the best thing ever"...BORK!

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 30/04/2015 19:57

Hello to all the new ladies on this bus!

Carrot I've ordered some frer's and hope they arrive for saturday as I want to test then! I'd be 10-12 dpo, and AF is due on monday, but I have a family get-together coming up and don't want to risk drinking if I'm upduffed. Might still be a bfn if it's too early but we'll see!

FlatWhiteToGo · 30/04/2015 19:58

Sorry to sound so bitter. I really am happy for these people, I just wish some people would have a little bit of tact and empathy!

Mumof1sofar · 30/04/2015 20:19

Flat that is so insensitive of your fb friend! Shock EVERYONE I know who has got pg recently seems to say, "it was our first month/ we weren't even trying/ I didn't realise I was pregnant until ... / we only did it once that month/ etc etc" Ugh get lost lol!

CarrotVan · 30/04/2015 20:20

Live update POAS, maybemrsmum?

You don't sound bitter, Flat, you sound a totally normal level of aargh. I'd hide people posting like that on the grounds of it being mawkish and twee

FlatWhiteToGo · 30/04/2015 20:25

He he. I agree mum. I don't even understand the whole concept of "we weren't even trying"...if you've been on contraception and you choose to come off it and you carry on shagging...to me that sounds like you're trying, even if you're not particularly thinking about it when you DTD or before/after, you're still intentionally doing something you know may end in a baby Grin.

oddlyinpatient · 30/04/2015 20:30

FB announcements - of any type - that are super soppy make me want to run away from them! The scan uploads are the worst!

I didn't test positive until dpo 15 last time. It seems like such a long wait! I plan to test monday (dpo 12) and Wednesday (dpo 14). We're going away for a week on Thursday (dpo 15) and so I'll be desperate to know before we go. Really hoping BFP (or even af) arrives earlier than expected. I don't want to be in limbo whilst we're away. As I tested positive quite late last time - I won't trust a BFN. At least if af arrives before we leave I can drink whilst we're away! Wink

FlatWhiteToGo · 30/04/2015 20:33

Oh good luck Oddly! Fingers crossed it's a BFP Smile x

LazyDaisy99 · 30/04/2015 20:55

Can I join the bus please? Trying to work out what my stats are - I'm a bit new to all this... Here goes...

Lazydaisy99 age 31 ttc #1 cycle 2
OTD (is this expected test date?!) 16/05

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 30/04/2015 21:06

Carrot You guys on here would be the only ones to know (other than DH obviously) if it's a bfp. If it is, I already have a plan to get an empty wine bottle and find a non-alcoholic wine to fill it with, thus keeping a mega-secret safe!

CarrotVan · 30/04/2015 21:09

There are decent non-alcoholic beers too

homeusburger · 30/04/2015 21:16

oddly fx for you!!!

Just spent 30 mins with my bum on a pillow after DTD. Thought I'd better take advantage of Egg white even if I am only CD 10. Last month I O'd CD 13, not sure what will happen this month.

parsnipbob · 30/04/2015 21:20

whoops sorry, that last one was me. I keep NC for things and then forgetting I've done it :S

DizzyMerry · 30/04/2015 21:29

Welcome daisy lovely to have so many newbies join us.

Ugh to Facebook announcements. They are the worst.

Fx for everyone testing over the weekend.

DizzyMerry · 30/04/2015 21:31

Where's woolly today? Thinking of you Flowers

mumtoason87 · 30/04/2015 21:34

Mumtoason87 age 27 TTC #2 cycle 3 bfp due 13th - 14thish of May.

Just worked out I'm ovulating much later than I thought - hoping to confirm this with opks this weekend. So the last few cycles were a waste of time as I wasn't DTD in the right fertile window.

I have 34/35 day cycle and think I ovulate around day 24.

Anyone else ovulate later than 'normal' ?

parsnipbob · 30/04/2015 21:38

mum I have heard of people ovulating that late but that would mean your luteal phase is only 10 days which I think might be a bit on the short side - anyone else care to comment?

OPKS really not reliable for confirming O (I keep banging on about this so sorry!!), you might want to try temping to confirm your definite O date

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 30/04/2015 21:42

Carrot The family would catch on straight away if they see the original label on drinks Blush

Mumtoason My whole cycle is around 24 days! I think my ovulation could be 12 days before AF is due, so not as late as other people. Haven't been seriously ov testing so not sure about a more precise ov date. Still in cycle 1 which was meant to be relaxed and chilled out Hmm

MiissMartiin · 30/04/2015 21:55

flatwhite my friend won't use protection. .. is adamant is isn't trying (even though i see it the way you do) but said if she did get pregnant she would have an abortion ShockAngry
