Purdie- I shall accept my prize, er, graciously!?

Dizzy- my dinner was Jamie Oliver too! And it WAS excellent. Am being super nice to DH after a week of DTD Grin

cremedecacao · 19/04/2015 20:20

Sparkly, so hard not to worry, but cling to the fact that it says "pregnant"!

Pixa · 19/04/2015 20:23

Big update time...

Frog - It sounds like smoothies are really good for your circumstance. There is a Make-Me-Over Mojito Smoothie in the "I Quit Sugar" book, which I cannot wait to try. Tesco sell chia seeds. Cheapest place I have found them is Amazon though. If you like quinoa, I really recommend the quinoa, lentil and feta salad on the BBC good food website.

Spinning - it sounds like you have had such a busy, but very productive, day! My dinner this evening was some fajitas. Not the healthiest meal in the world, but certainly not the worst. I love salmon though, so rather envious of your tea. It was so very sweet of you to say that about my photo, thank you so much. I felt like a whale to start off with, but DH quickly put me at ease. I like mine straight, really tempted to have it 'Momoko'd'.

Creme - I am with you on embracing date nights. Although ours have upped from once every month to once every week - not good for the waistline!

Sparkly Thank you for those website recommendations, I will happily check them out. I am in nutritional information overload at the minute. Quite tempted to do a degree related to nutrition. I wouldn't know how to put a removable photo on mumsnet of the dress. Blush You'll just have to stalk us all privately on Facebook. Grin

Glittery - Bananas are so high in sugar it is unreal. I think if you have three a day then you're at your RDA of sugar! For POAS, I have little plastic shot glasses. Grin

Juney - I love that you're concerned about the sperms banging their heads. Grin In terms of alcohol, I have some more champagne here, I would be willing to share! Bollinger anyone? I would happily set up a spreadsheet to check DHs sperm amount. Would even analyse it against his FitBit data to see if there are any patterns Grin

Purdie - I think it's easy for people to forget my age, when they see my circumstances. Plus, I look old for my age FWIW, I would have no idea on cocaine prices. Grin You have given me a good response for when these people tell me it is my turn next, so a big thank you. Smile I really wish you the best of luck for tomorrow.

Eskimo - Flowers

Oyster - I am quite blessed, we have a man cave here so if DH wants to watch a match he will go and sit in the cave. Enjoy your you time!

Ibeka Glad to see you back. I hope you are well. Smile

Sparkly123 · 19/04/2015 20:23

purdiepie · 19/04/2015 20:27

Eskimo, my love, you are entitled to feel crotchety you know. It's officially allowed coz we iz wimmin, innit. If it makes you feel any better - and I know you wouldn't tell by my light and personable posts today - that I am in a foul mood Smile What are we expecting to happen since you took your last prog pill the other day? I feel so bad for you having to endure this horrid cycle Sad

Bozzer, if I forget tomorrow: 'Happy Birthday!' I love you lots ThanksBrewThanks

Sparkly123 · 19/04/2015 20:32

Eskimo your dh is on sperm sampling right?!

Sparkly123 · 19/04/2015 20:33

Oyster glad you had a nice night for the hen do! I didn't have one. Yours sounds perfect!

Rainy34 · 19/04/2015 20:34

Hope I am not coming down with a tummy bug , tummy feels bloated, very gassy and not much appetite , I have been fine all day, just the last hour I have felt funny, also to top it off when I wiped earlier it looked like slight brown stuff in cm , wonder if my tww will be full of brown spotting as usual, maybe it is best if it is as I have blood test on Tuesday and that might reflect on what might be wrong, fx it does not start but it's made me feel anxious , bloody shit!!!

Sparkly123 · 19/04/2015 20:35

Pixa I ain't on facers! That's the problem. I did say I was gonna join you ladies I just need to get my ass In gear and do it! Don't think you can do private photos nope! I would love to study nutrition too. Right up my street

purdiepie · 19/04/2015 20:43

I wish lamb wasn't so expensive. Or, alternatively, I wish I was wealthier. Whatever.

Pixa, what do you mean by your 'circumstances'? Do you mean the fact that you're married? Thanks so much for the good luck wishes Smile

Sparkly! It's offishul! 'Pregnant'. What a joy, my love. Dare you buy the one that tells you by how many weeks? Shock

Sparkly123 · 19/04/2015 20:49

I have one of them Purds from January. One of those fancy clearblue ones! But the anxiety is huge.. I don't know if I can handle seeing it and then face the possibility of it not being true on Friday!

Sparkly123 · 19/04/2015 20:51

Purds I swing between overly emotional thinking to logical- no matter what happens, I've come further than january etc.. But then I swing back to the desperation for a sticky BFP!!

cremedecacao · 19/04/2015 20:52

Me too Purdie, its a treat in this house!

Sparkly123 · 19/04/2015 20:52

Oh Rainy sorry you are feeling so rubbish!! I hope it's not a bug?! Which stage in cycle you at? Sorry I've forgotten!

Woolly84 · 19/04/2015 20:54

sparkly seeing your digi photo made me really smile! Smile stay positive Flowers

Pixa · 19/04/2015 20:56

Sparkly so sorry, I do remember you previously mentioning that you're not on Facebook now! Lady, we are all with you on this TTC journey.

Purdie I went from being a young carer at school, straight into work - I aged quickly. All of my friends and peers are from an older age group. I have been working on my career for the past eight years, which is quite a while for a 24 year old I am lead to believe. The few ladies I do know my own age think I married young, or in their words ^"You left the party at 9:30pm."" I think all of those circumstances combined seem to make people assume that I am a lot older than I am, or rather than assume I am older, they just presume which stage in life I am at and forget my age completely.

Hairstylisttoboris · 19/04/2015 20:56

purds thanking you kindly :) x

purdiepie · 19/04/2015 20:58

Sparkly, the reason I'm a little irritable today is that I wish my mum - bless her sweet, sweet soul - wasn't quite so...utterly heartbroken that I am going to work. Honestly, she has wept more tears about my new job than I can hardly believe. She is being completely irrational about it ('But I'll never see me babba!'; You should be at 'ome and DH should be out workin'! It's not right. He'll forget to say 'grace' before she 'as 'er dinner!')

She has even told me that, should I wish to stay home instead of going out to work, I could become her official carer, earning a whopping £60+ per week from Invalid Care Allowance Hmm I told her I would need a lot more than that to save up for IVF. 'Oh no, Kerreh! Are yer serious about that?' 'Yes! Yes. I. Am. Do you really want Nancy growing up as an only child? When everyone around her is dead or dying?' 'Ugh, don't seh that, Kerreh!'
I told her this job is about getting back some self-esteem and giving the tot a chance to go on holidays and go to dance classes and to learn an instrument and stuff. This is all true, but most of all I'm bored. I'm so sick of the grind of watching BabyTV and baby groups. It is just awful. I love my baby so, so much, but I'm slowly going round the bend.

Sparkly123 · 19/04/2015 20:58

Ooooh Boris birthday birthday! Are you doing anything nice?

purdiepie · 19/04/2015 21:05

Pixa, I completely get what you're saying and you do present yourself as older than 24. Can I ask what an analyst does in LA, please?

Sparkly, I can't believe I will have done a full week at work by the time you go for that blooming scan. It's such a long time to wait, but being here with us and possessing the bucketloads of fortitude and sanguinity that you demonstrate to us will get you through Thanks

Nanight, lovelies..

Hairstylisttoboris · 19/04/2015 21:06

Do we still do stats? I have an update

HairstylistoBoris, 36, ttc# 1, cycle 11, bfp due May 13th.

My bfp is due on the one year anniversary of throwing away the pill packets in the hope of conceiving a bean. We didn't seriously try to conceive until a few cycles later though. Got to be a lucky omen though right?

eskimolaura · 19/04/2015 21:07

Yay for tests sparkly! Yes, DH has pencilled in '2 hours' of 'me time' tomorrow for his SA. Grin

Thanks for the Flowers Pixa

Purds Hopefully in the next few days I will have a withdrawal bleed from the pills and then I can book in the HSG and the CD21 and 28 bloods. Thanks for the words of support lovely. :) Oh, and lamb makes your house, and everything in it, smell for days afterwards. We're having good ole bangers and mash. Grin Bless your mum. She'll come round, I'm sure Flowers

Sparkly123 · 19/04/2015 21:08

Oh Purdie pie! What a shame. Not ideal that your mama is so unwell too. So she didn't realise you were serious about IVF number two then! Look, I think what you are doing is brave and definitely beneficial for your well being!! It's natural- how you feel. You have been out of work so long too. This is such a big deal for you, rightly so. It's absolutely 100% worth a shot to see how you feel. I do think it will be a great addition to the mundane aspects of your week and allow you some independence to be You again. You need this! What's the worst that can happen?! It says so much the employers picked wonderful you for this post too.. They saw In you everything we see. I'm sorry you have not got the full support of your mum, but as so often happens in life, you realise you can't let yourself be brought down by other people's opinions.. Even if it is a family member, even if it is your mum. She will respect you I'm sure for making this move. I think Nancy will also approve.Wink. We are all so happy for you and behind you 100%. Tomorrow is exciting. It's change. And whether that turns out to be good change or bad change.. It's progress for you and an alternative to your normal routine.. And surely that's something to feel a teensy bit elated about! see ya later baby bounce Flowers

Hairstylisttoboris · 19/04/2015 21:09

sparkly DH is off work too so we are walking in the South Downs and having a pub lunch followed by shopping :) definitely though not doing any work! It's exciting. We don't often get days off together just the two of us, most of our days off go on childminding his kid in school holidays, lovely and all but not my top choice.

Rainy34 · 19/04/2015 21:10

sparkly I think I am 3 or 4 dpo, it was a smidge of brown stuff in cm, and that was it, might just be over reacting, I work in a nursery and there is a few sickly bugs going about , im not good at being sick I got a major phobia when it comes to me or anyone else puking,

purdie sorry your mum is upset at the thought of you going back to work, I'm sure she will come around, when my mum had me it was the husband that went to work and the wife that stayed at home looking after the children and house but in today society it has changed, and it needs whoever to go out and make a decent earning, be proud of yourself, you have cute little Nancy and you bagged yourself a job, good on you, and anyway soon you will be on maternity leave with the future tot that you will be in your tum tum xxxx
