High five boris I'll prep the playlist for the drive!

Sparkly123 · 21/04/2015 20:57

Sammy we were just discussing this earlier. I was told between day 7-10. Maybe it's different between each health board but I would say to day 14 is way too late and risky! The HSG guideline from NHS say within the first ten days of your cycle. My leaflet says this too. Here's a copy I found online of similar NHS guidelines:
www.enherts-tr.nhs.uk/patient-information/download/400/

Pixa · 21/04/2015 21:00

All of your teas sound lovely!

Sparkly I am honestly rubbish with fish. I eat a lot of salmon, tuna, trout, battered cod & haddock Grin, sardines... DH is an odd pescetarian and won't really eat fish if it looks like.. a fish. Yup, you read right. This is also the man who eats a primarily vegetarian diet but doesn't like vegetables. I wish I could give you more advice though! Thanks for the OBEM reminder. I love kettle chips.

Juney I have a birthday in July too. Smile I would be faaaar to much of an chicken to come to a meet up though and too much of a newbie

Oyster - another vote for a few minutes away. We had several walks around just us and it was blissful but then our wedding was mega teeny anyway. Grin and very massively untraditional in some ways. Please give us some wedding details.

DizzyMerry · 21/04/2015 21:05

Boris sorry your birthday didn't go to plan but you rest up and get yourself better Flowers

Pixa I'm fine but I'll do the same thing again even though I know there's not much to it. Sometimes while the dr's getting the stuff ready I start planning my escape!!!

My swabs are all done and my GP told me progesterone a few years ago was 12 (it's 17 now). DH has an appointment at the clinic towards the end of May so the referral will be done in June. I expect that we'll probably be seen my the fertility specialist in the Autumn. I'm hoping we don't get that far but at least things are moving.

Yokyil · 21/04/2015 21:06

Haha Juney our house is the same Confused embarrassingly so at times! Ohh nomio def white bread and proper butter yum settled on some Fish Chips and mushy peas - followed by a max fruity smoothie Grin

Sparkly123 · 21/04/2015 21:07

Pixa ha ha so basically he doesn't eat much then?!?! My birthday is July also! Grin 31 for me though Hmm

aenor · 21/04/2015 21:08

Purdie - all employment is dull as ditchwater. Self-employment is a bit better, though you then have a new problem, anxiety, because the money comes in unevenly.

However, remember a while back (a dozen threads ago!) you said you loved writing? Well use your job as material to write about. Keep a diary, and be as bitchy as you like about all the people you are working with and their spreading bums and hideous nails and whatnot. You'll feel better

It's an old method - it's what Jane Austen did to cope with her tedious life of having to be polite to the hideous biddies she had to deal with - she relieved her feelings by sending them up privately in her novels!

You asked about two threads back how I was doing - sorry haven't replied until now. Had a horrrendous cycle that lasted too long (due to me being on a restrictive diet). Anyway the diet is now out and this cycle am trying the "eating lots" method. (Watched old episodes of Edwardian Farm on youtube and was struck by the Edwardian discovery that the reason hens didn't lay in the winter was because their stomachs weren't full, and they started laying as soon as lots of food was made available again. I figure we women arn't much different to hens. Though losing weight makes the rest of your organs function better, diets are an aritificial famine and our reproductive bits don't like it. Anyway, that's where am at!

Sparkly123 · 21/04/2015 21:09

Dizzymerry positive things are moving! Here's hoping you don't need it anyway! Great that the progesterone has increased huh? Wonder how that is! Love the idea of an escape route, I often have similar thoughts myself when I'm listening to consultants drone on about nothing!

spinningirl10 · 21/04/2015 21:09

Sparkly, sea bass is lovely although quite expensive. I really like tuna, again quite expensive. Do you like salmon? Rainbow trout is a fav of mine. If dp and ds go fishing they usually catch mackerel which I make them sort out before I cook!

eskimolaura · 21/04/2015 21:10

Could we please have some scotch eggs at the picnic? With brown sauce? Grin

Sparkly You were lovely at the stately home and we had a lot of laughs. Are you blonde? You were blonde in my dream Smile

Rainy Have only had CD3 tests. Had to wait a week for them. Need to book in some CD21 tests for this time round. Will do it tomorrow.

Thank you Spinning

Sammy I have mine booked in for CD11 next week. Had a panic that it might flush things out, but I think CD11 will be ok Hmm My leaflet looks like it is from 1865 (it was written on a typewriter!!! ) and it says between CD7 and CD14!!! Our health board is obviously way out of date... Hmm

Pixa · 21/04/2015 21:15

Please tell me I haven't missed a photo of your loo Night Grin

Sparkly123 · 21/04/2015 21:17

Spins mackerel sounds fishy!!! Dh says id like tuna but he wasn't sure about salmon. I know I know it's insane I've got to this age and never tried it!!

Pixa · 21/04/2015 21:17

DizzyM I have a vision of you in the doctors, with the Mission Impossible theme tune playing. Grin

Sparkly No, he really doesn't. Grin If I tried to show him a recipe from the Hemsley's book, I would be quite certain that he would start to hyperventilate. Ooh! Another July baby!

Sparkly123 · 21/04/2015 21:18

Eskimo ha ha. Dark blonde-brunette really. My hair lightens lots In the summer!

Pikz · 21/04/2015 21:18

Sparkly try some albacore tuna. Just had a massive tuna, green bean and egg salad with some.

Pug so sorry to see you back. Big hugs.

Have read back but can't think as shitty evening

Sparkly123 · 21/04/2015 21:18

Cd 14 is crazy Eskimo don't get it!

Pixa · 21/04/2015 21:19

Sparkly you sound like DH. I will double check his fish preferences but I am pretty sure it's prawns, breaded or battered cod and haddock. Grin

Oysterbabe · 21/04/2015 21:20

Don't worry people, you're not going to be able to stop me banging on about the details of our wedding after, you'll end up blocking me Smile
Rainbow trout and salad for dinner here. I went for a little four mile run around the harbour after work with a friend and almost died, she is so fast!!

nightandthelight · 21/04/2015 21:20

My phone has it as a jpeg but MN doesn't like that pixa :( anyone have a solution?

nightandthelight · 21/04/2015 21:22

Will put it in the fb group!

DizzyMerry · 21/04/2015 21:23

Haha pixa I'll have that in my mind every time I go in for a swab/smear/dildocam!

Sparkly it is insane you've got to your age without trying tuna, truly shocking! I don't like tuna but I haven't tried salmon as my dsis reacted to it so I've never dared.

Sparkly123 · 21/04/2015 21:24

Pixa oh really?! Ha ha. Mr Grey has lost his edge.. I thought he would be a connoisseur !

Purplecuddlykoala14 · 21/04/2015 21:24

Sorry to hear your news the pug
eskimo glad things are happening, best to get as many tests out the of the way sooner rather than later.
Hope everyone is ok.

loopylou1984 · 21/04/2015 21:25

Thanks for the link sparkly :)

Eskimo - 11 should be ok unless you're an early ov-er? It was 12/14 I was worried about! X

Sparkly123 · 21/04/2015 21:26

Oh lord can't believe I just outed myself like that! I don't know why either. It's just not something we were brought up with , that's it I'll blame the parents Hmm and I was fussy as a wee one so wouldn't have touched fish, I guess as I got older I just never bothered. Right. On my list I promise, by the time this month is out- tuna, seabass and salmon! Obvs I've had haddock and cod before but I don't count them! Oh and I quite liked lemon sole I tried that once. I just don't regularly eat it, I seem to stick to the shellfish!
