Hi ladies, hope everyone's ok? Some of you were up late last night!

I have a few questions, and you're probably all going to think I'm insane by the end of this, but here it goes:

  1. I got a positive opk yesterday at 5pm, dtd last night and have now done another opk this morning (I know it's before 8am) which is even darker, I mean the test line is WAY darker than the control, not just the same. Do we have to dtd tonight or will leaving it till tomorrow be ok? I have dildocam in the morning and really don't want leftover sperms in there for it!

  2. this is kind of embarrassing... Dh told me last night that if he falls asleep straight after dtd and doesn't come to the bathroom to wash then he gets quite sore the next day.... Am I too acidic or something? I have no discomfort.

  3. I'm worried my immune system works too well and is killing off embies. Dh had a cold and I travelled in a car with him for 12 hours, dtd and slept in the same bed and never caught it. This isn't the first time this has happened.

Am I mental? X

+Sammy* I get two days or two tests of positives usually (I test twice a day). One is the same strength and one is loads darker. The surge builds to a peak and then wanes so you likely caught a positive near-peak and then an actual peak. I'd DTD tonight again (or this morning still and tonight if you have stamina) and then, because you could hypothetically ovulate anytime between 12 and 48 hours after the surge (mostly between 18-36 hours) I'd do it again tomorrow to cover bases. Grin
And no that just his spunk gunk cluttering up his skin and irritating himself as it dries. Seriously you have nothing at all to do with it. Grin

purds I laid of bf during my period to give my hormones a chance to push oestrogen and will lay off it again after ovulation for about five or six days if I can to push progesterone. I'm back on the boob now but only morning feeds. I figure if I confuse my body enough it'll revolt and release a ton of eggs and one will hit the mark. also I took soy but sshhh

glittery? You were having scan too this week? Good luck! mine was on a Sunday just for the record, had to call and confirm they'd written the right date! At least hospital car park was empty as weekend

Will try to dtd again tonight, but we've been far more relaxed this cycle so far as sex has been awesome since dh knew I just wanted it, not because it was the right time. I haven't temped or used opks until yesterday, so if he's not in the mood I won't push it. I don't want our whole life to revolve around ttc! Xx

mummu sweets spinning anyone else I might have missed am so sorry I didn't reply to your pineapple tidbits no that does not sound rude but thank tou much! I got so caught up in the trunchbull drama that it just slipped my mind completely! Yes Mr Google tells me about the selenium, but I figure why go to all the trouble of chopping up a pineapple core every morning or spending all my money on chocolate covered Brazil nuts if I can just swig a tablet? Hmm I'm a bit post-modern that way. Grin
But if there is a good reason uhm like the synthesiEd selenium gets absorbed by the uhm uhm gallbladder or pancreas or nail on my little finger because the molecules are too big to get into the bloodstream and therefore cannot possibly help with securing they uterus lining for implantation, whereas Brazil nuts natural selenium molecules are so teeny tiny they just dissolve into your tongue and head straight for womb-town from there, then maybe if go for the nuts instead. Hmm iyswim.

Purdey I had my implant taken out early last Summer (maybe Juneish) 2014 but I did say I was starting a new job so that we wouldn't be trying right away. Then I went back at the end of Jan for a health check and said we were starting to try from then, I also rang during the stupidly long cycle in Jan/Feb and said "this is my frist month of ttc" so I am not sure I could lie about it. Unless I said we hadn't been "safe" since the implant was out and was just trying to time it better from January? Would they buy it? Good luck with your interview! IT teams can be fun.

mummy, it matters not what you said when you were mobbed-jabbering to some bored clinician taking your implant out and then fiddling under your bonnet. A police officer is not going to storm into the go surgery and arrest you for falsifying fertility start dates. Lie. Honesty is not the best policy. Not ever. Don't ever tell someone you've been unfaithful; don't ever tell the truth when asked how many sexual partners you've had; and always lie when the doc asks how long you've been ttc.

I just hate it becuase one of the GPs has already told me that she doesn't believe in temping and makes me always that my concerns are not valid with anything I go about. And the other GP I work with in my job! Maybe I should switch GP practices so I can avoid both of them!
