Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also know as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage. Self explanatory, who wouldn't?

ROC - Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Shagging like Something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Thanks blackcat, apologies to you, fallen and ewu for pissing too early for the pissy party. I just had a really strong feeling (and may have oved 16 days ago, I don't use OPKS and have long cycles, that's my excuse anyway).

Just done some googling and seems it would be best for me to test again in a couple of days to see if hcg rises in order to determine if this is really a goer. But feeling positive at the mo. If the spotting was 'bad' and it started 6 days ago I wouldn't get a positive result this early... right? (Help me out here Viroids!)

mountaingirl01 · 13/04/2015 19:32

pud! that is awesome :) if it's just spotting, nothing to worry about. I had spotting from about the thursday of bfp to the tuesday after. Get thee to a Dr!

ps know what you mean about the 'different' feeling. When I was spotting with this one, I kind of felt ok (although scared) when I started miscarrying, I knew it was bad.. if that makes sense?

Hobbit19 · 13/04/2015 19:39

Thanks for the info Mountaingirl, I was hoping you would pop along as the first time I had an inkling anything was happening was went I 'felt' implantation happen (don't know if that is actually possible?) In the middle of the Eskdale Valley, we were the only people for miles, how awesome is that? Did a big ass scramble, long walk out with heavy packs and then a day of multi pitching before I felt really 'odd' down there and decided that a day of cranking at the Bowderstone was probably not for the best. So I figure if it can survive all of that it is a toughy! (Apologies for ramblings to non mountain folk!)

fallenstar27 · 13/04/2015 19:44

Yay! Congratulations pud! You are entirely forgiven for pissing before the party! Have all of my fingers and toes crossed for you :D

jellypi3 · 13/04/2015 19:44

Congrats pud that's fantastic news! We need more BFP's on here :) today you are indeed pregnant.

Thanks Jelly, now stop wasting that EWCM and get shagging so you can come to the grads Fred with me when I start believing this might actually happen. Can't you do some GoT role play to get you in the mood?! Grin

mountaingirl01 · 13/04/2015 19:47

Awesome! I love that your little bean implanted during a climbing trip, goes to show how tenacious they can be :) it better get used to it! I've heard other people say they felt implantation, only as weird as feeling ovulation!

gaggiagirl · 13/04/2015 19:51

Congrats pud!

Flowers happy nearly birthday lil

Just checking in really. I got a bit maudlin on AF's arrival Thurs, then she packed up and left on Friday rather unceremoniously... I poas just to be sure and definitely not pregnant Confused. DP has been sporting and we are back on the EOD routine. He'd like to stay contraband free for another couple of cycles so no idea when or if icing... Have any of you ever removed paraguard? I have looked around a bit and they can mess with your cycle even though there's no hormones... Oh and it is CD5 and I feel icing type pain but it is too early... Am seriously freaking out it is early menopause. Eeeeeeep

auxiliaryauroch · 13/04/2015 20:24

Hobbit19 · 13/04/2015 20:31

Breeeeathe Sky, breathe. You have only recently started ttc yes? Did you come off hormonal birth control? That could be messing with your cycles.

Hobbit19 · 13/04/2015 20:32

Thanks for all the good wishes Viroids, I feel quite emotional about your loveliness Blush

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 13/04/2015 20:47

Thanks for the gentle hooyah pud i had the copper iud. No hormones but apparently can thin the lining of your uterus. Great.

In other news. This advert came up in my FB feed. Mothers day in the US and Canada is may 10 so this brilliant organisation is supporting women who've had losses or infertility... Mumsnet HQ are you listening? Would be great to launch a less soppy UK version mothering your heart

Toast85 · 13/04/2015 20:48

Just popped over from grads to say congrats pud!

I felt funny feelings around implantation time too, along with a small bit of spotting on and off for 2 or 3 days. Hooray!

Stoatystoat · 13/04/2015 20:49

Nice one pud

Thanks cat. It's gutting to have gotten so close but still be so far off it. I'm going to keep shaggging but I think for my own sanity, I need to come to terms with the fact that it's not going to happen. Enough people have told me that miscarriage meant something wasn't meant to be. Maybe I'm not cut out for it.

jellypi3 · 13/04/2015 21:03

Aww spoil sport honey Wink

Oh Stoat , you sound really down. Unfortunately miscarriages happen to lots of people who then go on to have healthy babies. I know you've had an awful experience, but that doesn't mean that it won't happen for you. You do sounds like you are really struggling at the moment though, are you getting some help/do you have someone to talk to? Xxx

MyBlackCat · 13/04/2015 21:07

stoat sorry I didn't mean to come across as so negative - it will happen, it's just I read so many people who pin their hopes on the first few cycles after MC and whilst many are successful, for others it takes longer.

It is frustrating being so near yet so far, but just keep shagging and enjoy the time with your DH, it will happen - we all have to believe that xx

Stoatystoat · 13/04/2015 21:22

Sorry pud I didn't mean to piss on your chips. You must be thrilledSmile

I actually think it not the miscarriage per se, it's how things fit into the scheme of things. This is yet another shit thing that's happened in life and I'm struggling - I'm a glass half empty type as it is. I had counselling with a lovely lady who has been helping me on and off. I can't be bothered to book in again though. I've got a couple of good friends, I can talk to DH and DSis though they are glass half full people. My sister tried for two years. I don't know how she did it.

black you weren't negative, it's good I'm prepared. I'd naively thought that my last period coming 28 days after my mc meant something and it's good I'm warned. I didn't expect to get pregnant this cycle, but I was assuming another 28 dayer or therabouts.

I'm sorry for being woe is me, I know I haven't been here long, and I'm not the only one finding it emotionally hard going.
