My dp never called himself a problem drinker until after he had cut right down. He knows he had a problem now but at the time they don't feel drunk per se as they are used to that amount of alcohol so see it as if they're not getting smashed then it isn't a problem.

Mummyofonesofar · 11/04/2015 09:08

I will stop preaching now. By posting about it I think you knew it was unsafe levels. I hope he can find the strength to quit or cut right down.

Pixa · 11/04/2015 09:09

Chops please tell me it gets easier?! This is my sixth day and I have been so headachy and ill. If my PT complains about my lack of effort this week, I will scream

I drink the odd strong coffee then quite a bit of tea - I didn't actually realise how much until I kept a food diary.

Good on you for giving it up though. Grin I will follow in your footsteps, wise Chopsface.Wink

Ohhhh tessie I could cry for you my lovely, how wonderful. Xxxx

purdiepie · 11/04/2015 09:11

Butter, thank you for your lovely post (but, again, shuddering at notions of being some sort of Jim Jones of Jonestown Hmm). I'm convinced you have PCOS and are not ovulating. Perhaps you are ovulating occasionally, but I would ask your GP for the day 3 and day 21 tests. It's going to be a long wait if they make you continue as you are up to the twelve month mark. Please go and see your GP Thanks

purdiepie · 11/04/2015 09:14

Tessticle!! You're preggo! Up le Duffe! Gestating a nipper! Furthering the yooman race! I am so, so thrilled for you, my darling. Well done Thanks

Pixa · 11/04/2015 09:19

Argh, I was just checking my cycles... And this is actually cycle 9 not 8! What the hell?! I must have not really counted the one post-honeymoon. Out of those 8 completed cycles, 6 have been 26 days or less with one cycle being 22 days. Sad

Would you recommend going to the GP after cycle 12 or after a year?

Oysterbabe · 11/04/2015 09:19

Tessie congrats!!!! Wonderful news.

Bum on pillow. We DTD during Q3, it was obvious Mercedes had it sown up.

tessie big congrats Grin great news!
Just caught up...ww3 happening over on the April bus...some women who wanna dramatise everything - do not see the point!!
Pixa do you definitely have to wait the full year? Could you not even make an appointment and just say what's been happening? Know they do generally say a year - but it's getting close to it Confused even if they have note of everything, that they can kick start looking into it when it does hit the year mark?

coffeenut · 11/04/2015 09:33

Just popping over to say huge congrats to tessie. Fab news. Flowers

Pixa · 11/04/2015 09:37

Yokyil I think it's not really getting close to it though and that's the problem, it's only really month 7, so just over half way. I have had 9 cycles in that time though so I my guess is that they would make me wait further? I don't want to waste my GPs time if I am being overly dramatic. Would you wait until the year or go earlier?

Hairstylisttoboris · 11/04/2015 09:42

pixa sorry should know, how old are you? I'd go to your GP now, and position yourself ready for the off when they are willing to help you. Find out what would happen in your local area and in what order... My GP was willing to run tests for me at the 10 month mark, he made it clear that he was happy to have the tests done so that if I get to the year point with no bfp he could refer me onwards. I'd just go, and ask what and when happens next.

nightandthelight · 11/04/2015 09:43

Yes tessie congratulations! Such wonderful news I will even forgive you for not joining my POAS party tomorrow Grin

purdiepie · 11/04/2015 09:43

Pixa, 'wasting a GP's time' is an oxymoron. Remember they are on £100k a year and are handing out prescriptions for toothpaste, Calpol and throat lozenges in some PCTs. Go to your GP and lie. Tell them you've been TTC for 13 months and that you are concerned you have more than a couple of anovulatory cycles. Ask for the day 3 and day 21 tests. It takes no time at all.

Melon Thanks

Yokyil · 11/04/2015 09:45

Am lucky to have a very understanding lady Gp, who when I mc was great as she had had one too, makes it easier definitely. But she did say if anything wasn't right when TTC then to come in. If it would settle your mind to hear it from a medical professional that it's still in the perfectly normal time frame then why not pop in for a little 5 min appointment-if it's causing you stress then it would be worth it. It's not nice over such a period of time cus you have everything going through your head each month, but in the grand scheme of things there's ladies who try for much longer. It just depends what you as an individual can cope with Flowers Hope you get some answers soon Pixa

juneybean · 11/04/2015 09:47

Brb whilst I jizz over purds April post. Love that woman!

MelonMelon · 11/04/2015 09:48

Tested or twatted which would be more appropriate this morning. GP appointment 29th but I won't need to go because my period will have come back by then.....right....Hmm

Woolly84 · 11/04/2015 09:55
