missmrs, found you! i wanted to give you some easter hugs and support as you left the nov thread without me catching up and saying how positive and incredible you have been and to wish you well in the journey to bfp. Flowers Easter Smile
FX for all of your bfps, having been a bus passenger for a while i do miss the buses and the craziness that happens. They even got me eating quinoa.

Woolly84 · 01/04/2015 15:54

Yes missmrs wouldn't want to get those last two on the wrong order! Confused

southy my diet is not up to scratch by TTC standards so you're not alone! Hope your back feels better soon and that AF steers clear!

Woolly84 · 01/04/2015 15:56

Thanks toots Smile
I assume you got your BFP so hope it's all going smoothly!

Southy84 · 01/04/2015 15:58

Yes missmrs I hope she is Grin

I didn't take it the wrong way I promise missmrs just think I should probably be a bit more thoughtful with what I eat, don't get me wrong I don't live on takeaways but could definitely be better, sadly cycle 24 here, I'm taking steps to improving things though. Got blood tests forms sorted (although think I'm going to miss this months as i will be away on cd2-4) so that's another month gone by with not being able to have them done (couldn't do this month either as left it too late to speak to dr and by the time I did I'd missed days 2-4) so frustrating, I just so badly want to be pregnant

Southy84 · 01/04/2015 15:59

Thanks woolly Smile

MissMrsMummy · 01/04/2015 16:03

Thank you toots lovely of you to pop back! Please check in every now and then! I am feeling positive (how could I not be with all the lovely support Smile) best of luck for your pgy! Keep us updated!

southy didn't realise you had been ttc so long. Maybe some dietary changes will make you feel like you're doing one more thing to help you get your bfp. I know exactly how you feel re: bloods. Every month missed is a lost chance. I feel so annoyed that some months early on we didn't dtd enough and those cycles were wasted. Also why I didn't start the EPO and B complex sooner when I'd heard others chatting about it. I suppose you are naïve early on, thinking it's easy to get pg. I hope you can get your bloods asap. We are having a private consultation as I can't face being passed around by the NHS.

It's been a very long journey so far (with a gap in between) I miscarried our first baby back in 2009 and thoight it would happen again easily... How wrong was I. I also think we have miss timed things in the past but hoping we will be a bit more successful going forward. What does epo stand for? Do you mind me asking is it expensive going privately? Is it priced per appointment or dependant on treatment? We will get there missmrs x

tootsroots · 01/04/2015 16:11

Hi wooly yup 8+3 weeks today. Still in shock... and on knicker watch.. and despite being a bloody angel eating wise whilst ttc, i have such bad ms that i am consisting on raisin wheats and pesto pasta. so get that goodness whilst you can!

Southy84 · 01/04/2015 16:13

Congrats toots hope the Ms eases for you quickly

MissMrsMummy · 01/04/2015 16:17

woolly EPO is evening primrose oil. You can take it from CD1 to ovulation to help with fertile cervical fluid (ewcm). Has some other benefits too (namely my nails growing at a ridiculous rate!).

I am having an initial consultation which is £180 then you pay per test and for follow-ups. Most clinics have a price list which you can see on their website to give you an idea. The main draw for me is that the Dr can give me a prescription immediately (I think I have a hormone imbalance) whereas if I go to the NHS clinic and they think it's hormonal, they will refer me to a hormone specialist = more waiting. Might not be the same for all NHS clinics but my GP says that's what would happen at mine.

Can I jump on and ask a question? missmrs at what point did you decide to go private? Did you just book an initial consulation? Im feeling inpatient and DH says I can spend our life savings if needed...!

Woolly84 · 01/04/2015 16:42

southy so sorry for you mc. I hope things get moving for you soon, good on you for staying positive. I really hope you get that precious BFP soon Smile

toots aw congrats Smile eek ms doesn't sound too fun, I hope it gets better soon and that you can get back to a more normal diet!

surferchic41212 · 01/04/2015 16:47

Can I join? 31, TTC#2, cycle 3 (but looong cycles) think BFP due 9th April...

MissMrsMummy · 01/04/2015 16:50

hair when we had been ttc for 12 months we went to GP. I had to have bloods and wait for results. Then get referred for ultrasound and wait 3 weeks for app't. Then wait 2 weeks for results. Then another week as couldn't get GP app't. Then got referred to fertility clinic and wait 7 weeks for the first app't. That's when! I rang a private clinic and got an app't for the following week Grin

Welcome surfer long cycles must be a bit annoying! Mine are short which means I always seem to be having AF but I suppose ov comes around quickly each time.

DizzyMerry · 01/04/2015 17:00

Southy sorry to hear about your mc Flowers but you are right, you will get there.

Missmrs thanks for the info about private treatment. I have day 21 bloods tomorrow but we have decided we will go private once I get the results. I'm not due AF until 10th but getting the cramps already so I have a feeling this won't be my month
Toots congrats. Hope the ms eases up
Welcome surferchic

abi2790 · 01/04/2015 17:01

Good evening. I feel so lucky that we never had any problems conceiving ds so big hugs to all those long term ttc. We've been trying 6/ 7 months with this one and I feel like it's been such a long time but really it isn't!

sooo my shopping didn't get delivered so I have to wait until tomorrow to test Angry Angry I'm literally dying with frustration!!

Southy84 · 01/04/2015 17:02

Thanks woolly I do have my wobble days but trying to stay positive. I did see a specialist in 2011 who couldn't find anything wrong with me or dh so worried we could have a case of unexplained infertility... Starting the process back up again now as decided to have a break (which annoyingly has put as back to square one) never mind not much I can do now.

Welcome surfer :)

It does make me laugh missmrs how as soon as you're willing to pay they can get you an appointment within a week, and normally it's with the same consultant you'd see with the nhs. Sad really but at least going private you feel like you're getting somewhere, and it sounds like you have a good clinic. I may have to look into it if I get put onto some stupidly long waiting list

Southy84 · 01/04/2015 17:12

Noooo abi I'm frustrated for you! Fingers crossed hey deliver early tomorrow!

And thank you merry I'm feeling the same :( maybe next cycle will be the one, if not maybe we will get ourselves a surprise bfp this cycle- fx

Hairstylisttoboris · 01/04/2015 17:13

Thanks missmrs after 10 cycles if really trying we are at a similar point! Immwaitingbto see how quick the ultra sound gets booked but may well go private! Did you just google a clinic? My nearest clinic is apparently the most expensive in the country!!!!

Hairstylisttoboris · 01/04/2015 17:14

Sorry for typos. Stressed at work. They are trying to send me to China for a few months. Not part of my ttc plan!
