I'm really confused. Last month I didn't get + OPK's till the 18th/19th day of my cycle.

I've lost a couple of lbs and now I'm doing the clearblue study and it says to start testing from cd 8 going by my cycle length. I'm CD 12 and have got flashy faces since Friday. I read you should really have four flashes then the peak ... But why am I getting flashy faces so early still. Surely only a 2lb weight loss wouldn't make too much difference. Still been DTD as want to try the smep

Any ideas x

I think it's more than spotting. No pain still but I'm trying to be philosophical. I just feel I was a bit premature making all these appointments when really it's like I'm a week late with my period.

Glittery - the flashy smiley is measuring a different hormone (I forget which). Your positive opks should come at the same time as your solid smiley really.

I usually have 4 days of flashy, but have had cycles with 5/6 flashy day! Xx

Autumn so sorry to hear of the brown spotting. This can be totally normal on early preg too but I know it's worrying. In my experience you can get it checked at this stage by bloods. Call your EPU and explain the situation. Do you have any pain? The waiting and wondering is no good for you I know, maybe even speaking to EPU or GP on phone may help. Thinking of you and sending I have been in your exact situation before and I know the turmoil

autumn you made need to see a GP vs midwife as you're not far along. My GP is great about reassurance, so it may be worthwhile. FX it's nothing to worry about.

Autumn it's totally natural you would be excited at getting your BFP! This brown bleeding could be normal- like a short period. I have read endless accounts of this before online. We all have everything crossed for you. Really hope you will give your gp/epu a call to discuss

Glittery you can sometimes get more flashy smileys...I once had 8 in a row before I got static smiley - DH was knackered that cycle!!!

thanks ladies, I think it's Oestrogen and then the FSH - Which then ovulation is approx 12-36 ( or 24?) hours away..if I have digested the info I have read correctly.

Quick question after reading about vit b complex on here this morning....what is the opinion on taking b complex against just taking b6 on its own? Is one or the other better?

Fingers crossed for you autumn. If there is no pain or red blood it doesn't sound like a mc. But I've not experienced one its just from what I've heard/read. Keep us informed hun xxx

Ok I'm confused now! What's the difference between the two clear blue opks? I use the pink lid one and have been testing since cd8. I've never had a smiley but what I want to know is should I expect a solid smiley (when I get one) or a flashy one?

Thanks DizzyMerry! so Clear blue pink one only detect LH surge.. Which is when you get the solid smiley. No flashing on pink one!
The Dual hormone one is people and has flashing/static.

Tessie yep I think a B complex is better as body absorbs better than one on own

autumn I really hope you're not experiencing a mc and hope this is just some old lining that your body is shedding.

At the end of Jan I got a BFP at 4+3 and again 4+4 but unfortunately had pink spotting in 4+6 then brown in the morning of 5 before bleeding properly at the end of the day. I didn't experience any pain on 4+6 but did have some low down on 5 which worsened as the day progressed.
I rang 111 on 4+6. I had already booked an apt with the Dr for the following day so I kept the appt and want to see them. I also took a pg test before seeing the Dr and took a urine sample with me because of the spotting. I got a negative result on the test and the Dr checked to see if it wasn't a false negative or an ectopic.

I really hope that what I experienced is not what will happen to you. I know you feel that you got too excited to soon and it is so deflating because you have already started planning your pregnancy/due date etc. What I took away from it was that I could get pregnant I just need to work on how to keep that little bean sticky.

Had a temp dip this morning (chart attached for those interested) Could this be an implantation dip or is that too early?
Am working from home today. I say work I mean spring clean my house! Could this be a symptom!? nesting can't be because my parents are visiting on the weekend!
