Just did a really quick Google and found this:

'If you are displaying a brown discharge before your period, there are several conditions that could be contributing to your symptoms. In some occasions the endometrium is released before the start of the period, which will result in a light brown fluid discharged from the vagina. This can be brought on by alterations to your hormones due to taking birth control, or it could be a natural result of your body's cycle.'

If you were taking AC, chances are that it caused the alterations to your hormones and it resulted in the brown bleed.

cymonsarah · 21/03/2015 15:09

Thanks everyone, I'm feeling ok. I think my body is only just adjusting after being on the pill for 7 years. Only Cycle 3, onwards and upwards. Had a lil cry, but looking forward to some Wine now.

From the same page: 'When your period is delayed it can lead to a brown discharge. As you shed endometrial tissues, older cells will be darker, which will lead to a heavier, darker period. It is also not uncommon for your period to run longer than normal when it has been delayed. If the discharge is roughly the same texture and has a similar flow to your normal period this is usually nothing to be concerned about.'

Sounds like the AC either brought your period on early, or delayed your period. It can cause issues with your cycle is your take it and you are normally regular. x

I hope you are all having a nice weekend so far. All this talk of parsnip cake is making me hungry but but seeing as I am doing Slimming World at the mo I shall refrain from breaking out the hand mixer. If any one is baking veg infused cakes this week please post pics so I can perv over them we can all see your creations. cymonsarah would you be willing to share your recipe for that gorgeous looking rocky road.

purdey did you get yourself sorted out? I wouldn't worry about looking like Deirdre, that style of frames is all the rage with the cooler teenage girls these days, you is just dead trendy without even trying.

sparkly I chuckled at being called butterypants, DP asked what was funny, I told him, he replied "I'll butter your pants later" Grin

Oh thank you- I know he's particularly scrumptious isn't he?! Off to pick him up in about half an hour.

Bangers and mash later on tonight. Nom nom nom. Have done nothing except sit on the sofa today and wait for the vet to call. Have caught up on two weeks worth of Corrie and 8 pages of this thread! Feel very lazy, but couldn't get my head around anything else, especially after marking two class sets of literature coursework and a class set of mock exams this week. I'm done in!

auroraboringalis · 21/03/2015 15:58

I'm so confused. Is agnus c or soy iso's "nature's clomid"? Hmm Wish someone would enlighten all us desperates. (I'm planning on taking some SI if I don't fall pregnant this cycle.)

DizzyMerry · 21/03/2015 16:01

Lovely pooch pics.
eskimo I took it for low progesrerone and endometriosis. Took it a week after my period for a few days. It could have been old blood leaving my system

eskimolaura · 21/03/2015 16:02

Oops cymon sorry for calling your girl a 'he'. She is gorgeous! Blush

spinningirl10 · 21/03/2015 16:03

spinning awaiting your magnificence!

munches on carrot

eskimolaura · 21/03/2015 16:06

aurora If you have a regular cycle, I would advise against taking AC. It is really strong stuff and can mess up your hormones if they are already in full working order. I am only taking it as I haven't had a period for nearly 5 months. I think it's called 'nature's clomid' because it kick starts progesterone. x x

DizzyMerry · 21/03/2015 16:08

Oh and thanks for the info eskimo I think you're in saying the AC caused alterations to my hormones which resulted in the bleed. Not sure whether I should have carried on with it to see what difference it

spinningirl10 · 21/03/2015 16:09

Yay I did it!! About half way through there's a big bit of info on SI

Ok, off to read back

OP posts:
auroraboringalis · 21/03/2015 16:10

eskimo I don't yet. Still bfeeding but af returned three months ago so miffed not to have had a bfp yet. The reason for no bfp? fecking four or five day luteal phases! So I had hoped the SI would do the trick but maybe AC would be better? Who knows. They are apparently both natures clomid. Grin Maybe mix them? Hah hah sorry no I wouldn't do that. Fyi I did try B6 and it did nada. Sad
