Grizzer, I would take the clexane. Pregnancy increases the risk of DVT, and if you've had one before, you will have to be on it for your pregnancy. I have had one as well and have been advised to start the injections as soon as I get a BFP.
In addition, clexane is now more or less the standard treatment for women who have had multiple miscarriages, it is meant to have cell-protective effects, as well as the anti-coagulant function. So it's a win-win really. You should speak to a midwife (or your GP) about a referral to a obstetric haematologist ASAP.

FattyFishwife · 16/05/2015 23:19

((hugs)) grizzer

jassS · 17/05/2015 08:26

Grizzer, I think as Cloud does - early first tri bleeding is a common side effect of aspirin and clexane, but it does not mean you should not take them. It is only discontinued when subchorionic bleed is visible on us. Otherwise docs normally feel it is better to continue even if your crvix is reacting by spotting. But do not listen of course to any of us, listen to your docs only in such a matter!

All good with my scan - 1 little bean with a good heartbeat, measuring bang on with 8 weeks SmileGrin
I am so relieved, that's my first big milestone.

Gumblossom · 17/05/2015 10:43

That is fantastic news Cloud. I am so, so happy for you GrinIt must be a wonderful relief. Have you another scan planned?

I am pleased to say I had the most amazing turn of nausea this morning after taking my prenatal sups and DH was brewing coffee. I felt very awful and very relieved. Have felt fine ever since, but still have tender breasts.

5+6 tomorrow. So excited that I have almost made it to 6 weeks. It's another wee milestone for me.

Fantastic Cloud! Such a relief to see a heartbeat. Congratulations to all the bfp's and my heartfelt condolences to all the ladies whose pregnacies didn't continue.
I have been dropping in on the thread from time to time. Not had much to add myself, af after af. 9 dpo so decided if there's no bfp this month I'll take myself off to the Dr. Any advice on the sorts of things they'll ask or do?
Keep up the good work ladies x

notsoold · 17/05/2015 14:14

Cloud...wonderful news!!!! Just what I wanted to hear!

I am 10dpo and yesterday for the first time ever I decided to google my chances. Sad it was very depressing and shouldn't have done it!!Confused.
So I will stick with coming here and see how you are all doing. All the bfps coming and beans growing....Smile
Smep this month and no symptoms but that is normal for me.

jassS · 17/05/2015 15:03

Gum , so glad to hear you're feeling sick!!! x

FattyFishwife · 18/05/2015 09:16

great news [cloud] that must have helped enormously in the anxiety stakes, to get milestone #1 out of the way!
so pleased for you xxx

AnnieHoo · 18/05/2015 12:29

Fantastic news Cloud a big milestone.

Good to hear your feeling sick Gum Smile

Grizzler hope you're doing ok and the spotting will keep away, it's such a nerve wracking time.

I'm waiting for the GP to call me later with HCG results. What will be will be.

FattyFishwife · 18/05/2015 14:03

gum sorry i missed your milestone at the bottom of your post! great news (inasmuch as feeling vom can be good) you must be so relieved!

fromwesttoeast · 18/05/2015 14:12

Great news from Cloud and Gum! Smile
I'm on cd2. AF took me by surprise as I had only completed the post mc spotting a week earlier. I thought I would be waiting a couple of weeks longer, but when I checked the calendar I found AF had arrived exactly 28 days after my day in hospital for the medical management.
I'm not sure what to to this month. On the one hand I know there is no time to waste, (turning 43 this month) but on the other hand I want to be able to take hayfever meds this June!

willitbe · 18/05/2015 14:29

Gum ....... whooohooo! I occassionally come back to lurk here, (GalwayG, remember me?) Congratulations on your pregnancy, I am so so so happy for you, you have waited a long time. Sticky vibes coming your way.

Cloud - great news on heartbeat too.

Big wave to everyone else that remembers me too!

We are not ttc as at the ripe old age of 47 and on HRT for peri-menopause, it would be virtually impossible, having said that we are not taking precautions, so if a miracle was to occur, it truly would be a miracle given my history. But I do like to keep a hopeful eye on this thread for positive stories.

AnnieHoo · 18/05/2015 19:18

Bag of nerves here! GP just called and said HCG from Friday at 29dpo was 13,225. He said that was "high" and he's going to ring me tomorrow lunchtime with the HCG result from today's blood test. Oh god I'll never sleep.

jassS · 18/05/2015 20:29

Annie, fab! Please be not astonished if at these levels they take even 96 hours to double, they are so high already!

Fromwest, I had the same - AF came 28 days after my first eprc, even if it left my hcg still in hundreds with retained tissue. But obv. the drop from tens of thousands to hundreds was enough for the body to reset and start a new cycle.

Gumblossom · 18/05/2015 22:43

Annie - twins perhaps???Exciting! Grin

willitbe - it is lovely to hear from you,and so nice to be cheered on,by you and everyone else.

This morning, again awake at 4 am (just as well I am tucked up in bed at 8:30 most nights), I got up and did a clearblue digital, as I had planned to do it if I made it to 6 weeks. And it said,"pregnant, 3+".{happy dance}. I am halfway through the first trimester. I am starting to feel a bit more confident and even contemplating telling my DH. However, I will wait until I have seen the dr in a weeks time, if all goes well.

I have woken today feeling ok, but I know that I will probably start feeling quite yuck by lunchtime. I am finding that I have to be constantly eating to keep the nasty taste in my mouth from making me feel sick. I don't vomit much with the sickness - just feel truly awful - like I am seasick. I am concerned about putting on a lot of weight, which I really don't want, but I don't how else to cope with the sickness. I kind of wish I could be sick and totally put off eating so I could lose weight...but I am forever grateful to be pregnant and I can lose the weight afterwards. What is important is growing a baby Grin

Fromwest - are there not hayfever meds that you can take while pregnant?

Annie, let us know about your HCG.

diege · 19/05/2015 08:04

That's great news Gum, all sounding really good ?? Just EAT woman! As you say, they'll be time to shift the weight after so just concentrate on the here and now. I am so excited for you!
Hi Willitbe! Its like a thread for the 'old' old guys ??

willitbe · 19/05/2015 09:29

diege - hi, and yep we are the old old guys!!!! It is great to see your youngest looking so cute.

Gum - yes just keep growing that little baby in there!

Fromwest - hayfever med are used in some situations to suppress immune system to stop body rejecting baby accidentally...... take the meds. If you need some reassurance, there are several women on the "pred" prednisolone thread that have information on immune issues (hayfever is an immune response). Hope that is reassuring to you.

AnnieHoo · 19/05/2015 12:59

I'm getting myself in a panic waiting for this call. Woke up and boobs are not sore anymore and have "deflated". I don't feel pregnant today. Nausea has gone too. These are signs of a blighted ovum for me. Dr will phone soon with hcg result from yesterday. Also a letter arrived in the post asking me for an early scan tomorrow morning. I do feel well look after by NHS.

DH has just gone on a work trip today until Friday so I'll need to be strong. Brew

FattyFishwife · 19/05/2015 13:23

(((((annie))))) im keeping everything crossed for you babes xxx

fromwesttoeast · 19/05/2015 15:50

Hope you've had the call by now Annie. Really stressful.
Interesting info Willitbe. I did actually get prescribed piriton in my twin pregnancy, due to intense itching, but that was in the last trimester. I suppose I just assumed everything not directly preg related and non essential would be a no no. Thanks for letting me know.

AnnieHoo · 19/05/2015 16:55

No call yet! He /she will probably call after the afternoon clinics are over now. Trying to be philosophical about it all. Going to take the dog out for walk in the rain Smile. Thank you SO much for the emotional support. It's a lonely place being in limbo at 6-7 weeks ??

AnnieHoo · 19/05/2015 19:28

Sorry about this drama. GP just phoned and my HCG result from yesterday was 22,447 so gp said this was "as it should be". Scan at 8.40am tomorrow.
