Cariad, I've sent you a pm. I would definitely try a different surgery, or even a different GP within your current surgery. It's amazing the different treatment you get from one GP to another.

OwEmGee, I would try and do every other day. Sperm live for around 2 days so that should cover you. Though if you've both got the stamina you could always try every day. Love the term fertile myrtle btw.

Tessie, glad you're feeling better today. I am awful to my DH when I have PMT, he can't even chew without me biting his head off.

I've just had my reflexology appointment and am feeling very relaxed, work is currently not too stressful and DH and I conveniently have a free weekend coming up (expect to ov around Monday or Tuesday).

Sparkly123 · 16/03/2015 14:48

TrixieRay - thanks for that. It's the first month of actively trying for us so will try and go for all available days, but it's good to know for future reference that we can space things out if need be!

DizzyNorthernBird · 16/03/2015 17:49

Hello all! Not been around for a couple of days as I've been busy working and not got much news!

Hi to all newbies and Flowers to those floating across from March bus.

I'm currently cd11, still got a few days to go until fertile period but should see an increase in cm the next few days. I've just finished a 5 day course of sudafed and was worried it would dry me up but things still seem to be moistening up down there so fx it'll be business as usual next weekend Grin.

Trying to figure out a ttc strategy to work with DP's laziness....I'm considering not dtd at all until I see a pos opk and then going for it two/three days on the trot.....or is this too risky? I think we've been too early the last couple of cycles so I'm hoping leaving it until late and again after ov might give us a better chance. I need a Christmas baby!!

Rainy34 · 16/03/2015 17:59

Hi everyone, i came off the March bus due to needing time to get my head around the whole ttc lark, I am due to ovulate soon or my body is gearning unto it as i can feel my sides crampy like i normally get when i am due to ovulate , I think taking the laid back approach this month is helping me , I phoned the doctor and i have booked for an appointment on the 13th April to see where we go forward with the spotting before af turns up. I will probably join this bus but at the moment I am not sure of dates , once my af turns up in March il (officially join)

Spinning I went to Holland and Barrett a few weeks ago to enquire about Evening Primrose oil to help hormonal balance and i was told to take 2000mg a day which i have been doing since cd3 and i am now on cd 12, up until then i was only taking 500mg when i told the lady in H and B she said that 500mg would not do anything , I see that you are taking 200mg, do you find it delays your ovulation?, as i have read that it can,

Sparkly123 · 16/03/2015 18:15

Dizzy lovely! Hi! I'm thinking the same this month.. I feel starting to early we end up peaking too soon. I think may start later too. I don't think you are messing up your chances doing that at all honestly. Last cycle we did 9 days in a row and no BFP! I've seen peoples charts that do there days over OV and get theirs. Or do every other day.. It's a lottery id say! As long as you do peak days you should be fine!

Hi Rainy glad the break doing you good. And good news you have doc app sorted. Sending positive thoughts to you Flowers

Rainy34 · 16/03/2015 18:24

thanks Sparkly, sorry to see that you have had to join the April bus, but nice to see you here too, take care of yourself xx

DizzyNorthernBird · 16/03/2015 18:28

Hi sparkly! I was thinking there's nothing to lose by giving it a try. Apart from another month lol. I'm already starting to think I might be in this for the long haul so may as well try different things to see what works. I agree about it being a lottery, timing might look good on paper/charts but who actually knows what's going on in there lol. When the conditions are right it will happen regardless, for all of us!

Southy84 · 16/03/2015 19:24

Hi everyone and welcome to the newbies and those coming over from the March bus. Hope this is a good month for us all.

I had a telephone appointment with my dr today and explained our situation and I am picking up blood test forms Friday to have them done next cycle, also got dh referred for SA, was quite nice not to have to go back in to see them and explain everything again, here's hoping once the tests are done the referral is quick. It's strange, I feel quite upbeat about getting the ball rolling with the dr again. For now I'm cancelling my acupuncture appointments until we have more info from the dr and results from tests.

victoria401 · 16/03/2015 19:34

Great that things are moving for tests now southy

Hi sparkly :-)

So this cycle is now going to be an IUI cycle! Bit different huh?! no idea what the next few weeks hold but I don't think we even need to dtd!

Sparkly123 · 16/03/2015 19:43

Southy great that things are moving. You are so right to feel upbeat lovely!

victoria beyond excited for you!!! So is this a definite now? Iui this cycle is on track? I have everything crossed for you, you deserve this so much!

Sparkly123 · 16/03/2015 19:45

Oh and victoria if you felt comfortable, I would be so interested to hear about the iui process if you end up posting during it? Just because it's something they are exploring as a possibility for us so I'd like to know how it all works!

spinningirl10 · 16/03/2015 19:51

Rainy, I've been taking 2000mg for over a year and no it never delays ov for me. The only thing that messed mine up was the soy isoflavones but it went back to normal as soon as I stopped them.
