Dizzy yes a couple of ciders down (guilt-free! One of the advantages of AF turning up!) I thought I would join after all :)

Southy thanks very much! An hour after AF turned up I was in Tesco procuring mine Well Man vitamins. He will be so delighted when he gets back from his trip tonight (not!!)

Re. temping, I have promised not to go near ovulation prediction kits etc. until we are at least three months in. DH felt a bit pressured last month just knowing when my (theoretical) fertility window was so I don't want to make that side of things worse for him.

I was reading about conceptionmoons yesterday - sounds like a brilliant idea! I was a different person during and just after our holiday last year, so much more relaxed! But sadly, we weren't yet TTC. Perhaps if we've had no luck by the summer I can sell the idea to him Wink

TrixieRay · 12/03/2015 13:30

Oh Southy, sorry yesterday wasn't a positive experience. Once a week is a lot, I only went once or twice a month! I am glad I tried it but didn't help me get my BFP. I definitely recommend reflexology for relaxation/fertility, I'm still waiting on my BFP but my cycle has come down from 32-33 days to 30 days and pain free AF so it is doing something. Again, I only go once or twice a month. I am also a worrier and sometimes have trouble sleeping. I downloaded some relaxation aps onto my phone to listen to before bed and find that I sleep much better.

Victoria, my reflexologist doesn't go anywhere near my reproductive bits! Just my feet - I often feel embarrassed about the state of them. Hope you are feeling better today btw.

Tessie, hopefully super duper eggs for us this month after possibly anovulatory cycles.

Cariad, sorry AF arrived. Having a plan to get some tests done in June sounds like a good idea. Sometimes just knowing you have a plan in place helps you relax.

TrixieRay · 12/03/2015 13:39

There's a gin terrace on the roof Brickie! I am going to adorn the terrace with daffodils to really make it feel like Spring Smile

victoria401 · 12/03/2015 13:48

Not my actual reproductive bits trixie! Confused the pressure point equivalents! Lol! Did I mention that she predicted this cold? I had an appointment on Saturday and I got a sore nobbly bit so I asked her what that was about. She said ears and sinuses. I said I was fine, she said "oh its coming!" Monday worst sinus headache and earrache ever! Still got massive sinus pressure. Still off sick.

Still no sign of af, the lack of spotting is nice but it does mean that the pain and bleeding on cd1 will be BAD!

TrixieRay · 12/03/2015 15:17

Blush should have thought more before posting! Ha ha, I thought maybe there was some special kind of ovary massage or something Hmm
Interesting that she predicted your cold. If only they could predict BFPs!

victoria401 · 12/03/2015 16:21

Maybe she does do your bits then trixie and you don't know about it? I just chat the whole way through and ask what all the points are!? The reproduction areas are actually behind the heel up towards the ankle so easy to know she's doing them. What time of the month do you go? Do you chatter or lay back and listen to the whale music or similar?

Southy84 · 12/03/2015 20:06

Cariad how long have you been ttc? My dr is pretty good and acts quickly on things which is reassuring, I have made a decision to call them tomorrow and get the ball rolling... Here we go again I suppose eek. You talk about going privately, sorry if this sounds bad but can you not try pestering your dr again? Or try another dr? I don't think it sounds right to make you wait another year.

dizzy you have made me think about temping a little more positively, I'm actually debating buying myself a thermometer - the acupuncturist said a normal one is fine, is that what you use?

Trixie and victoria it's really interesting to hear about reflexology - I hadn't thought about that. In terms of the worrying I have been seeing a hypnotherapist who has massively helped me and I listen to a relaxing cd every night (dh thinks it's a bit odd, but he's being supportive and listens along :) )

Sorry the witch got you brickie I've just come out the other side and ready to start DTD again! Love the feeling when she's gone for another month (and fingers crossed longer)

I appreciate all your comments, you've been so lovely and helpful x

victoria401 · 12/03/2015 21:00

Af cramps and a bit of spotting tonight. Come on, get on with it! Want it to be over with already!

madgiebean · 12/03/2015 22:36

Hi guys can I join?

Madgiebean (26) cycle 6 ttc first child! Af got me 5 days ago, thought March was my month :(
Hopefully I'll get my BFP in april though!

Wishing everyone lots of luck!

DizzyNorthernBird · 12/03/2015 22:40

here you go southy, this is the one I use (I posted this on March buzz yesterday and the link still pastes lol). Don't use a normal thermometer, it needs to be a bbt one for accuracy Smile

Link: www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00PQKUWNE

I've seen a few people on here saying they get stressed out with temping. Try not to take it too seriously, if you miss a day or do it late one day, it's not the end of the world.

MrsPCR · 12/03/2015 22:53

Claiming my seat and hoping at least to have a shot at the April bus. Came off the mini-pill 3 weeks ago and had those mid-point ovulation cramps which I have not missed over the last 10 year so fx for AF this month as waiting until holiday over Easter to start TTC. If all is going to plan, BFP 20th April!

MrsPCR, 28, TTC #1, cycle 1, BFP due 20th April
Southy84 · 12/03/2015 22:58

Thanks dizzy I will give it a go :)

Welcome madgie and mrsPCR

wotsits1 · 13/03/2015 07:50

welcome madgie and mrspcr!

I've decided against temping this month. Its only cycle#2 so think I'll stick with ov sticks this months and maybe temp next month. I can't bear the thought of having something else to obsess over. I'm tryna relax about the whole thing this month.

Nowt much going on here. Its cd6 and AF has gone... so now its the other waiting game for the shagathon to begin!

Avasmum8 · 13/03/2015 07:55

Hello ladies I am joining the bus! :)

My stats are: 25, ttc number 2, cycle 1 BFP due 8th April!

I was on the march bus as AF was suppose to arrive on the 6th but it was a week late so my first BFP has now rolled into April!

Fingers crossed for everyone xxx

Avasmum8 · 13/03/2015 07:56

Sorry should have said BFP due 8th April cx

coffeenut · 13/03/2015 08:14

welcome madgie and pcr.

Dizzy - re temping, do you find it gives any information above and beyond CM and OPK results? FF last month gave me an ovulation day based on just those two. I'm temping anyway but think it's prob more likely to confuse it than anything!

Cariad2014 · 13/03/2015 08:37

Morning all!

Trixie and Victoria - all this talk of reflexology is making me want to ditch acupuncture and give that a go instead!

Southy - Glad your GP is proactive on the tests front. The issue I have is that we live in one of the worst parts of the country for fertility assistance. You need three years of infertility before being considered for the one round of IVF offered and accordingly my GP's policy is not to do any tests whatsoever until 2 years have elapsed (which would be understandable if I was in my early 20s but I'm actually about to turn 33!) We've been ttc since last May but as I've had a cp and an ectopic my GP's view is that they know I can get pregnant so I'm less of a concern. The clock resets itself every time you get pregnant so I won't be eligible to any NHS tests until September 2016, although my GP did tell me I could come back in early 2016 for a chat in case the policy has changed! I just feel I want reassurance that my remaining tube is healthy and that there isn't anything else (e.g. Fibroids) which are treatable that might be acting as a bar to successful implantation.

OP posts:
victoria401 · 13/03/2015 08:47

That is shockingly bad cariad I'm angry on your behalf Angry Is your tube ok after the ectopic? Surely they can check that?!

Welcome newbies :-)

coffeenut · 13/03/2015 08:55

cariad that really is terrible!
Can you pay to go privately and get it checked? Or, as victoria says, can they at least check the remaining tube? Worst comes to worst perhaps you can fake bad cramps in the area and get a scan??

mummyofonesofar · 13/03/2015 09:34

Hi everyone

Still lurking on the March bus, AF was due on 24/02 but was a week late and FF has changed by BFP date after taking into account really long cycle last month and given me a 2nd April date.

My stats are: 22, ttc number 2, cycle 2 BFP due 2nd April!

tessiegirl · 13/03/2015 10:17

Hello everyone! Nice to see some newbies, welcome! Smile

Sorry to those who have joined the bus after AF has arrived....roll on our bfps in April! Grin

Cariad I am Shock at how rubbish the system is for where you live, how truly awful.

Trixie here's to strong eggs! I'm not sure I actually had a anovulatory cycle now as I had pre AF spotting as I normally do and AF turned up when she was supposed to and I would expect AF to be messed up if it was anovulatory?? I wonder if my thermometer is broken so going to start using a new one this cycle and hope ff can pinpoint ovulation this time.

I am really hoping ovulation and dtd at the right time will work out this cycle...DH's job takes him into the field and as the weather gets better chances of him being away from home is more likely Confused

In other non ttc news, our cat is so nervy today after six huge stray dogs got into our garden yesterday and scared her to death! She is completely off her food and not herself at all, bless her Sad

TrixieRay · 13/03/2015 10:45

Victoria, we chat a bit to start with and then I completely zone out, often come round to find an hour has passed and it is dark outside. She lays me back in the most comfortable chair with a blanket with wave music in the background. She talks about balancing my hormones a lot (though I am still having pretty bad PMT) and works on my fallopian tubes a lot (Cariad could be good to make sure your tube is in tip top condition) I am going on cycle day 9 this month (which will be Monday), I usually go once or twice between cycle days 3-14 depending on how it falls. I find just knowing I have an appointment lined up helps me with stress.

Cariad, if you do want to give reflexology a whirl and Forest Hill isn't too far for you I can always pm you my reflexologists details, she is lovely.

Southy, glad the hypnotherapy is helping with the worrying.

Tessie, I'm also wondering whether I did in fact have an anovulatory cycle based on how AF was but looking back means that the CB OPKs missed my surge completely....who knows. Your poor cat, my cat goes absolutely crazy if a cat comes in our garden but six of them!

On the subject of cats, I'm sure ladies with cats who've got their BFPs in the past have talked about their cats being extra affectionate towards them. Out of the blue this week my cat has suddenly started sleeping on my tummy at night time every night- she has never done this before. I am taking it as a sign.

DizzyMerry · 13/03/2015 12:24

Hi all!

I have arrived from the March bus Sad. AF got me today

DizzyMerry 34, ttc #2, cycle 13, cd1

Southy84 · 13/03/2015 16:27

I am so shocked cariad that's completely awful!! I don't know why things differ so much depending on where you live, that's so unfair.

Your poor cat tessie our cats are nervous if the friendly neighbourhood cat tries to come into our house so I dread to think how they'd be if that happened to them. Poor thing.
trixie I've heard that too about cats, I remember when I got pregnant, I was out for a walk with dh and this random cat appeared out of nowhere and wouldn't leave me alone! Every month I hope my cats will pay me more attention and that I can use that as a sign Wink hopefully it is a sign for you, I do believe animals pick up on these things

Southy84 · 13/03/2015 16:29

Hi dizzy sorry to hear thatFlowers
