You know the drill by now ...

Rules of Entry - must be over 30, TTC no. 1 for over a year, be suitably evil and Hag like, willing to shout Cunt at the moon on regular occasions, consume extra gin when our fellow hags are unable to, and to get the nipple tassles out for any successful Hag ...

and now we've been trained by the government in our new MI5 roles, we are likely to get a little Ninja on your ass if you babydust round here ...

No admittance without a complete BESHtionnaire - see below.

I am definitely not an expert in this department having never had so much as a sniff of a BFP. I guess we'll know soon enough either way.

Meanwhile just to taunt me my mock symptoms have gone up another gear. Currently feeling positively vom worthy. Nothing to do with packing away 8x my normal dose of progesterone

cherrycoconut · 28/03/2015 22:40

Wow, line em up styleee Barking, that's a plan of action and a half! I've never seen that site, I definitely bow to your superior knowledge in this department, obsessive or not Wink

barkingtreefrog · 29/03/2015 07:16

Well, I have a bag full of Internet cheapies and I ordered a twin pack of frer and a twin pack of superdrug ones last night. I ticked for free delivery 3-5 working days, so fingers crossed they arrive in 4 working days or with all the bank holidays I won't get them until the day after OTD!

barkingtreefrog · 29/03/2015 07:17

I managed to stop myself adding a twin pack of clear blue digital to the basket as well....Blush

Fabuluce · 29/03/2015 09:45

Wowsers Barking that is an impressive selection! I'm so tight I couldn't do that - I feel like those companies are capitalising on our miseries. I haven't tested again either since I found out it had all worked as the stressing about whether the line is strong enough/has changed etc just adds to the menkul for me. You're a brave woman!

barkingtreefrog · 29/03/2015 09:51

Normally I wouldn't Fab, but I figured I'd push the boat out for the ivf testing!! and the superdrug ones are only £4 I wouldn't test again after the clinic results, but I figured if I bought twin packs and managed not to test early, I'd have the others available for the frozen round - which the law of sod is then going to ensure I don't need Grin.
there's desperate logic in there somewhere
How are you doing?

Fabuluce · 29/03/2015 09:53

Btw I read the other day that it's the high levels of hcg in your blood that stop your body from rejecting the embryo. Clearly this is a problem for me as this time round initially my hcg level wasn't high enough to register on a test and then my numbers were significantly lower than average so I suspect this, along with my over exaggerated autoimmune response, is the reason why I can't get pregnant naturally. I also think that there have been times when I've been early doors pregnant (late droid) but hasn't shown up in the tests as I've felt exactly the same as I have when pregnant but that it has then failed because I haven't had the supportive drucks on board. It all feels like it makes sense to me and I feel like it's a really good explanation as to why I can't do this naturally.

Fabuluce · 29/03/2015 09:58

I wish you the very best of luck Barking - I want you and Cherry with me on the journeeeee!!

I'm doing ok - 9weeks yesterday! Have reduced oestrogen down to one a day and finish it completely next week which is a bit scary. All the other drucks I'm taking until 12 weeks apart from steroids which I'm taking until 16 weeks. I've got my 10 week scan in 9 days time so just biding my time and filling my days until then. This is the furthest I've ever been! I'm still finding it hard to actually say 'I'm pregnant' as I want to know that it's actually going to stick but the longer I go the better my chances are I hope.

Blue2014 · 29/03/2015 14:59

Exciting times Smile so, someone do the calculations for me - does everything kick off bank holiday weekend? 2 tests and a scan all at the same time or have I miss timed some stuff? Barking, chez, fab?

OP posts:
barkingtreefrog · 29/03/2015 16:13

Blue It should be cherry testing on ? (to be decided) then me testing on Monday or Sunday , then Fab at her scan on Tuesday Smile.
Are you feeling any better about the swimmers thing? Are you going to wait for the nhs referral for ivf or go private?

I went for a dog walk and a good natter with a friend and then for pub lunch, only walked for an hour, nowhere strenuous, but I came back really tired. Had a quick lay down on the bed and fell asleep. Each time I woke up I was still tired so ended up just pulling up the covers and going to bed! Only just woken up again!
I'm taking this as a positive sign that my body is Doing Stuff Grin.

Blue2014 · 29/03/2015 16:31

Yeah I love your tiredness, it makes my heart flutter a little bitSmileThanks.

Wow, the bank holiday times will be eventful - Hagfish (yep, seriously Hagfish, how have I not used that one before?) of hope and sea devil of serenity to you all ThanksThanksThanks

I'm better than I was about the jizz, talking to Mr Blue about it in small chunks (just told him about the need to cut down on drinking and suggested other tips and am allowing him time to process it). I'm in a bit of a tough situation really - because he knows nothing about the process I don't think he has any clue how low the spaff results are. I don't want to break his heart yet so just taking it slow.

I dunno what I'll do about IVF yet, it depends how long the wait is and my GP says she has no idea. So I'll have to wait to find out the wait! She said she would do the referral on Friday. I have no idea what the next step is (and she has no idea im moving out of area in May! A quick Google says I can keep my Gp where I work so am hoping that continues). Realistically im gonna need 3 months at least to get to a reasonable weight for a clinic and Mr Blue needs to restart the super spaff vits so ...... Dunno? I'm a bit lost in it all really, I guess maybe I'll phone GP next week too and see what the next step should be? (The referral was agreed via a 2 minute telephone consultation)

barking, I completely missed your message yesterday - congratulations! Brilliant news!! Sorry about that.

Hags, I survived the wedding. I wish I could say the same for the bride, who went to bed at 11pm as she was a little too squiffy. But she didn't make a scene, and nobody really noticed I don't think (that she was hammered - obviously they knew she wasn't there). I'm exhausted though.

I got my referral for the HSG test. Fingers crossed that those increased fertility stories are true!

cherrycoconut · 29/03/2015 22:12

Nice research Fab and congrats on unchartered territory and boldly going. Long may it continue to the 20 week scan and beyond.

Good moves Blue, after the GP referral has gone through you should get a letter with a choice of hospitals in your area to choose from.

Glad you survived the wedding Bad and got your referral through. A productive weekend by all accounts. Bring on the super fertility!

I had a very satisfying poo today and crampy symptoms have disappeared But while we're scraping the barrel for random and tenuous symptoms, I can however feel my pulse in my lower belly. Menkul! Meanwhile the voice in my head is urging me to do naughty things with HPT's in the too near future...

barkingtreefrog · 30/03/2015 03:06

I'm saying nothing about early testing chez as that would make me a hypocrite..... Hmm

Blue have you been referred directly for ivf or referred to the fertility clinic? Might be worth a call to clarify so you can manage your expectations.

Bad well done for surviving the wedding.

Fab you're doing great. You are pg and you're going to have a lovely scan next week Smile Thanks

I have such a bad throat it woke me up. Properly swallowing razor blades. And coming down with a cold to match Sad. Trying not to think about it being a sign my immune system is kicking off Sad.

barkingtreefrog · 30/03/2015 08:19

Proper stuffed up this morning. Spent the early hours googling 'cold after ivf transfer' Hmm
Not happy Angry.
Sucking on Werther's Originals as I can't take anything for it.

Fabuluce · 30/03/2015 08:50

On a positive note I've seen a surprising amount of people listing cold symptoms as an indicator of pregnancy.... Just saying....

Fabuluce · 30/03/2015 08:53

'The fetus is very clever, even at an early age. In a healthy pregnancy, your immune system is suppressed and prevented from attacking and rejecting the foetus as if it were an foreign object by hormones and antibodies the foetus produces. The antibodies also take part in the growth and development of the placenta. As a result of these hormonal changes to your immune system, you are more susceptible to colds and flu. Nasal stuffiness is also very common in pregnancy due to the hormonal effects on the nasal passages.'

TheRainDrops · 30/03/2015 08:55

yay for poos, boo to colds! barking if you weren't PUPO i'd prescribe soluble aspirin, honey, limoncello and hot water. mmm, delicious AND it makes you feel better. in absence of that, have an eel of endurance.

bad fingers crossed for some super fertility for you. great news about the hsg!

we've been told we should expect a letter with our IVF kick off appointment date this week . Shit's getting real!

Hagfish!!! How have we missed that?!?!!? That one is our official good luck mascot for sure. Grin

TheRainDrops · 30/03/2015 08:56

ooh fab you menkul enabler you!Grin Grin Grin (but that does sound very promising!!!)

EricaJ · 30/03/2015 10:58

Hags! I am back from a really nice week end away and what do I find? A PUPO Barking, that's what!! Whoop!!

For what is worth it, I always heard that you tend to get sick when you are pregnant because of your immune system being on a 'let it be' way. Everything crossed for you!

Chez I'm with Barking here, I would definitely advise against testing early but I'm terrible at that so...

If it wasn't way too early for me (like a whole week early), I would definitely test before the bank holiday. We are going on a little group holiday and I know I'll be paranoid about drinking some wine, feel guilty if I do, resentful about the whole situation if I don't etc etc.. The whole in-my-head drama just so I can get a BFN or the droid as soon as I am back. Gah!

Rain Exciting times!! Getting the pom poms out again for you!

Badb Glad you survived the wedding. I do love an opportunity to put on a pretty dress and drink cava, I must say!

Fab Wow, 10 weeks next week! I went as far as 7 weeks last time, I know that the 9-10 week scan will be a massive milestone for me, if I do get there.Whoop, whoop! 2015 Cluster DIFF!!!!!

Blue I don't know much about the IVF 'procedures' but sounds like the other hags will give you some sound advice! If I don't get a 'fuck you IVF' diffuse, we will probably start the process around August ourselves, so I guess we have a similar timeline to get things moving...

So officially on the 2ww. I hate it. Now it's when I start despairing and thinking, 'That's it, another month gone. there is nothing I can do anymore. We are dooooomed'. I also spend lots of time the local health shop, wondering if loading up on DHEA, isoflovones, echinacea, ALL the vitamins etc could make a difference. Feeling that I am just waiting again is so frustrating...

EricaJ · 30/03/2015 11:00

diffuse? diffage,obvs!

barkingtreefrog · 30/03/2015 11:14

Fab I luffs you!!!! Grin Grin Grin

Hag fish for everyone! Grin

Make sure you keep stretching rain or you'll get cramp from crouching by the letter box Wink.

barkingtreefrog · 30/03/2015 11:20

Your post didn't come up before I posted Erica, wasn't ignoring you! Glad you had a good trip. I hate the guilt/resentment conundrum. It's the reason why I need my life back if this fails!!!

EricaJ · 30/03/2015 15:22

I know Barking ... this level of menkul before even starting treatment is not ideal.

Fab am I right to think you had a lap a few months ago? I had my second one end of December and a bit worried the 'effects' may have run out already? Is it 6 months you give it before checking again? Confused

Fabuluce · 30/03/2015 15:39

Yes I had mine in November - once I'd had that I got on to my clinic straight away and got in the list for a January ivf round!

Yes I think the general rule of thumb is around 6 months.
