F* ladies. Sorry to be so me, me, me, me. BUT....

I've just done a frer (working from home today so wandered to the chemist, not sure what came over me) and it's come up as positive.

I'm terrified. I don't know whether to believe it. I'm scared it's picking up HCG from my MC or something and not a true BFP. I don't know what to do - shall I believe it or not? I did do a frer post MC and it came up as a BFN and the EPU told me it was fine to try once I got my BfN. But now wondering if I've made a mistake.

Sorry for the rambling post, I'm sitting here shaking. I can't tell DH as I don't want to get his hopes up and I've got no one else to tell. HELP! Think I just need some hand holding please.

Oh wow genni!!! I don't know what to tell you but I really have my fingers crossed for you. When is af due and how many dpo are you?

I'm 12dpo, AF due on Saturday. I think I'll have to try to go to the doctors tomorrow/Monday and get a referral to the EPU for blood tests to see if my levels are rising. It's the only thing I can think to do to check if this is real.

Genni I think if you have had a BFN post-mc then this is a true positive. Congratulations, how many dpo are you?

Wotsit I was having a similar conversation with my DH yesterday about having a test at each stage... as soon as you've ovulated, that the egg has fertilised and when it's safely implanted so you don't have to go through the stress of the 2WW symptom spotting like a woman possessed!

Ooh Genni - here to hand hold. I agree with mummy, if you had a BFN on a frer post MC then surely this must be a brand new (hopefully very sticky) BFP! I really hope you can get in to see your GP tomorrow.

genni... I had the same after a mmc. I couldn't believe my positive but she's 8 now!!! if you've had a bfn in the past then these are new hormones. congrats!!!

sammylou I'm sorry you're feeling down. So many people underestimate how hard TTC is. You wait so long to be "ready", being careful and using protection and then it turns out it's not as simple as unprotected sex. You can't even get testing done until you've been trying in vain for a year (depending on your age) and by then you've wasted a year!

I was thinking the other day how crazy it is. Us women here checking our temps, tracking, OPK's, finding the window and our men could have a low sperm count and we won't know without testing (and testing that requires you to do something usually intensely private, sometimes in a room where many before you have done it. Not exactly a sexy thought).

As for planning, I did initially think I didn't want a December baby for one main reason, I would be due (no joke, exact date if I OV when expected) exactly on my evil sister's bday. I know dates don't matter to some people but I would hold that baby in just so it didn't have the same date. SIL's both have bday's in December as well. So it's a small window! Christmas baby would be fine compared to that date. Maybe I could go early and hit my DH's, or his dad's bday (a day apart)... December will be a fun month if we catch this month!! :D Oh and did I mention my AF would be due on my MIL and mother's bday (which are a day apart but due to time difference mean same day for part of the day!)

Awww Genni, I'm super excited! Don't doubt your negative after the mc. I'm sending super positive sticky vibes your way and here to hand hold. Definitely get to the docs tomorrow and ask for bloods, it will help you feel calmer. Oh and CongratulationsSmile

Wotsit Don't think my GCSE Biology and A Level Physics covered that but I do love problem solving so... Give me a week! Grin, Hmm maybe not!

However I'm sure my BIL would try to come up with something if he could (He is a bit of a genius and works within medical technology and patenting) My sis (his wife) is about to start IVF so he also has an interest in the area already!

If only...

AF due today for me, I am obsessively checking my knickers and no sign yet. I feel a bit crampy, though. I am trying really hard not to get over-excited and think that AF is late! I'm sure it's about to start, but would be so happy if it didn't. Looking forward to the POAS party!

Thanks so much ladies for all your kind words. I love these buses. I think I'll wait and keep it to myself until the weekend. If I get to Monday and no AF and still a BFP then I'll tell DH and head to the doctors. I'd feel so stupid making a big deal and then AF arriving bang on time.

Oh my Purdey bird, I'm so sorry you feel like this. How can we help? I know others have suggested Mind etc.. Are there any services locally? I used to go to a volunteer counselling service that I found really helpful, they asked for donation but only if you can manage. I want you to be able to recognise the wonderful, intelligent and bubbly person you are.. I'm sure none of that is an act lovely!.. You provide support to every single one of us on these buses along with a huge dose of humour! Your sparkly personality shines through all the time.. Nancy is so very lucky to have such a great mummy. But if you feel Sad inside you really must seek help because YOU deserve to feel happy and fulfilled. You are good for pushing for what you want.. Genni eeek exciting!! I know you must be feeling a mix of emotions right now. Can you call the local epu direct?? That's what I would do to be honest. After my early mc, They told me if I get a positive again to call them and I can go in for bloods/scan. Gp result wouldn't come through till Monday where as if you call epu they should be able to test right away ..instead of going through turmoil over the weekend. It's natural you will feel reluctant to actually believe it after going through a mc... I'm so excited for you though I really hope this is it for you! Sending Flowers

My update:
CD 17 and think we should AI AGAIN tonight just incase! Last two months I have OVd on CD 17 I think and feel I better as no huge temp rise yet, although slight rise today.. But could be because room was slightly warmer I think. We shall see tomors temp! But for tonight I think we need to keep going.. For AI number 8.... BlushConfused my husband deserves a medal right?!
Have attached my chart.. Does everyone else have such rocky temps pre OV?

I hope you're ok purdey, I know how bad depression is. CBT and mindfulness have done wonders for me, do try it! It might seem like a pile of old mumbo jumbo at first (gnats what I thought!) But it works! Hugs
