Lucie
That means you've got 3 excellent embies and 3 that are a bit slow. Which is bloody good odds.
I was told that in a good round, 30% make it to blasts, so you've already got 50% that look like they are going that way if you needed to wait the extra days, and 3 that aren't far behind.

lucieloos · 22/04/2015 14:47

Thanks spare that has put my mind at rest a little. I know it's normal for some to drop off at this stage and I can't keep them all being perfect lol. We are booked in for transfer at 1130am on Friday so hopefully there will be a couple of decent ones left by then.

WildflowerMarmalade · 22/04/2015 15:16

That sounds promising Lucie - and like you say you can't keep them all in a perfect state! Will you be having one embie put back or two on Friday? (at the risk of sounding like Beaky Grin)

Nolly love your DH's conversion to the woo, especially annointing himself with the fertility waters. It's probably way more powerful than vitamins anyway, so no wonder he threw those away.

Wow at your gymnastics Beaky and you look great in that leotard.

lucieloos · 22/04/2015 16:24

I would like 2 embryos put back if I can wild. That's what we are hoping for if we have 2 left of good quality on Friday.

WildflowerMarmalade · 22/04/2015 16:36

Well working on Spare's statistics Lucie the odds look good for you to have two to put back. It's such a worrying and tense time. Hope you are doing ok away from home and managing to distract yourself a bit.

lucieloos · 22/04/2015 16:40

Yes I hope so wild it's such a rollercoaster all this and it doesn't get any easier at any stage. I've found it a lot better being away from home as there are so many things to see and do here in prague so it's a good distraction and time is going quite quickly but it's still hard lol. Hope you are doing ok.

happylass · 22/04/2015 20:10

Lucie I found the time between days 3 & 5 ubër stressful especially on my first cycle as no one had really spoken to me about it. I panicked when I was told to expect a 50-60% loss between day 3 but fortunately I didn't lose any on either cycle. Thinking of you, it really is a roller coaster Flowers

barkingtreefrog · 22/04/2015 21:19

Lucie I got 8 eggs and 3 made it to blastocyst (eventually, two were lagging behind). I have everything crossed that it's all good news for Saturday. It really is a horrible emotional rollercoaster all the way through, I like the idea of being abroad and doing interesting things though.

tigerdog · 22/04/2015 21:50

Well hello my lovely ladies Wink

lucie all sounds like it's going well! It is an emotional roller coaster but it will all be worth it in the end. Remember it only takes one Smile. I think being away must be a nice part of an otherwise challenging time.

wild sounds like things are progressing well with you too. Hope you're feeling more chipper today.

Gill and spare I hope you're both doing ok in PUPO land Flowers. Pom poms being frantically waved in this corner

nolly glad to see Mr Nol getting involved in some woo! hehe. You never know... if you get pg this cycle we might all be booking flights!!

How you doing beaky? Hope you're feeling less sicky from the pill.

Scan is on Friday. My ovaries are achey. I felt somewhere between rage and crying for most of today. Could have cheerfully killed someone!

Gillster · 22/04/2015 22:07

Evening all!

Not much to report here in PUPO land. Feel pretty much the same as always. In some respects the time seems to be going pretty quick. Can't believe I'm halfway through already. Reckon it will drag though once the weekend is here. Have managed to stay fairly relaxed so far and even made it to the beer garden across the road from work every lunch time (for lime and sodas).

Excellent news Wild and Lucie. Keeping everything crossed for some good quality transfers/embies to freeze on Friday.

Just when I thought Beaky couldn't break out some more moves she goes and surpasses herself!

Not long now Tiger. Hope they can give you an EC date after your scan on Friday. It certainly sounds like your ovaries are responding. Mine were the same.

Hi Spare hope you're plodding along nicely too.

Hope everyone else is OK.

tigerdog · 22/04/2015 22:10

How long after et is your test date gill? Glad it's going by quickly.

Gillster · 22/04/2015 22:29

Test date is 29th which is 14 days after ET.

happylass · 22/04/2015 22:30

Hang on in there Tiger - you're almost there. Is this your first scan since starting stimms? It's a good sign that they're aching. I felt like my ovaries were going to explode by the end!
Gill will you be tempted to pimp early or will you hold out until OTD?
We've had an appointment through for an initial consultation with the NHS. Law of sod has dictated that we can't make it as DH is working away. Earliest we could rearrange for is June 11th. Not too bad and probably better as would still have been PUPO from the FET on the original date they gave us. Am still very Hmm as to whether we'll ever actually get treated on the NHS.
Hope everyone else is ok. Night all.

Gillster · 22/04/2015 22:58

Don't think I'll be tempted to test early. Have only ever POAS in the past to confirm that I haven't been pregnant before my hysteroscopies or when AF has been really late. At the moment I don't even have any tests in the house. Think I'll be popping to Superdrug next Tues lunchtime to keep the temptation out of the house for as long as possible Grin

TheRainDrops · 23/04/2015 10:05

Morning Berries, so much going on here at the mo - I've been following along but last couple of weeks have been insane (and not very exciting) so haven't been posting much.

tiger I'd agree the acheyness sounds promising, although i hope it's not too uncomfortable for you. Hope the scan tomorrow goes well

beaky blame the hormones for the spots, really crappy tho and sorry you're also feeling sicky too. Since going back on the full strength conception vits in the last couple of months my acne has got MUCH worse, big horrid cystic spots around OV every bloody month. It is truly misery inducing especially working in an office full of dewy skinned 20 somethings

nolly that is hilarious! Did anyone spot Mr Nol splashing water down his undercrackers? MrP and I took a stroll around the Cerne Abbas giant last year for similar reasons. Didn't bloody work tho did it! Sorry to hear about the pg ex, and you definitely do NOT need to be happy for them!
I got baby bombed by a close peer colleague yesterday - we were tucked away in a meeting room together working on a project and she whipped out the fucking scan photo as a 'surprise'. Married less than a year, knows about my MC and still thought that was a good idea (plus asking me what I knew about negotiating for better mat package FFS!!!).

barking some really interesting/big things to ponder after that consultation. The whole SET/DET thing seems pretty confusing tbh - there's a big part of me that would love to do a DET but as an under 35 (just) I believe our clinic are fairly firmly against it unless it's your final go/poor results. The NK question is one there just aren't any real answers to so I guess it's going to be a case of doing what feels appropriate for you and DH. In the meantime, enjoy getting back in the saddle!

wild & lucie excellent, excellent news on the embies! . Hope your respective next phases go brilliantly.

Also shaking them for spare and gil in PUPO land, hope you're both feeling good and managing to keep occupied with nice things.

happy good/frustrating news r.e. the appointment. I'll keep you company on the wait - our starting appointment is June 4th so really kicking our heels between now and then. Had initial dildocam assessment and AMH test on Tuesday, don't think we'll hear anything from them on that before the appointment unless it's awful, not sure!

We're off for a relaxing weekend away tonight - 5 days which (for bleeding once!) actually coincide with the end of AF so we can actually enjoy some hotel sex (everyone likes hotel sex right? Wink).

Will try to check in when I can but it seems mahoosive fortnightly posts are my new thang...... just know I'm willing you all on from a distance! Grin

tigerdog · 23/04/2015 13:08

Hi rain enjoy your time away Wink

I am also suffering with mega spots since stimming. My face is acne central. In fact I look like absolute shit, there's no two ways about it.

I could punch someone today I'm so cross about nothing in particular! Grrrr

nolly3 · 23/04/2015 13:18

tiger if you want a list of people to punch just let me know - got a few suggestions if we're setting up a Berry Swat Squad

nolly3 · 23/04/2015 13:19

Sounds like your colleague would be current top of the list, rain. How bloody insensitive can you get?!

barkingtreefrog · 23/04/2015 15:14

Yep, start with rain's colleague tiger Grin. Make use of the excess hormones as an excuse Wink.

tiger/beaky/rain I'm also acne central. It's been horrendous since stopping the pill (over 3 years ago) as that's the only thing that ever got I'd of it for me, definitely hormone related. They're now creeping back into my back and causing me pain, which is bloody annoying (and painful) on top of being unsightly as they had just about gone from my back after all the acupuncture. Angry
Really saps your confidence. And I too work in an office full of twenty somethings who are very image conscious.

beakybeak · 23/04/2015 16:57

Good luck lucie that sounds good to me!

Wild lol, I like a full reasoning too please Grin how are you feeling today? Any updates?

Oo Tiger that all sounds promising although not pleasant for you! Best of berry luck to you tomorrow! I'll be checking in to see how you get on. Do you think you'll know when EC will be then? Also, where do you stand on set/det??!! Grin I'm ok, just really queasy most of the time. I'm also getting shooting pains around my left side ovary. I hope there's no cysts!

Gill that does seem to have flown, I hope this next while is super quick and I'm still crossing everything and pompoming away! You too Spare and I hope things are going quickly for you.

Happy great news on your NHS appointment, hopefully you will not even need it!

Rain brill news that you are on the road, hopefully all will be fine with the amh and dildocam. Don't forget to take Barry for your dirty lovely weekend away Grin and dim the lights, obvs. So sorry about the baby bomming scan pic, super insensitive of that eejit. I had one the morning but my dh announced it to me as I was getting ready ffs! I am pleased for her though it's taken her a couple of yrs although it's no.2.

Barking it's so shit! Especially when they are painful and very noticeable too. How are you and MrB feeling after your appointment?

tigerdog · 23/04/2015 19:30

Line 'em up and let me at them! Insensitive differs - pow! Smug facebookers - wham!

ahh I feel better already!

Beaky I'd go for DET but our NHS fc has a strict SET policy. EC will be mon or weds and will know more after tomorrow. I'm quite bloated and very aware of my ovaries, plus I'm knackered, which I keep telling myself is because my body is using all my resources to make loads of eggs.

barking I agree it is a kick to the confidence. So unfair. Hope you're doing ok.

Gillster · 23/04/2015 19:51

Hi Rain, nice to see you again and not long until your IVF appointment. I second what Tiger said about the baby bombing - smug bitch! It's just what you don't need. No differs at work at the moment although that's bound to change now I've said that. Overheard the cleaners talking this evening and one if them is 5 months diffed. Another excuse to finish at a reasonable time me thinks.

Not sure if I'm being over sensitive/unreasonable but 2 good friends have had second babies in the last couple of weeks (they live quite a distance away so I don't see them often). They both know of our issues.

Both have failed to notify me personally of their births. Both notified the world via FB but I had their news feeds switched off (for sanity purposes). Given that I knew both babies were due in April, I have gone in and checked their feeds from time to time. I only found out of friend A's birth a week after the event and Friend B's 2 days after. Slightly miffed that I didn't get a text but could understand that things may be manic with a second child. Probably overreacting but I hate it that they assume everyone just follows FB all the time. Grrr.

lucieloos · 23/04/2015 20:13

Eeekkk back to the clinic tomorrow hopefully for transfer if I have a couple of decent blasts left! I'm so nervous and excited! Really want to be pupo!

WildflowerMarmalade · 23/04/2015 20:37

Tiger will you have a scan before EC or have you had it already and I missed it? Loving the Berry Swat Squad concept - can Kate Middleton be a target?

Gill and Spare thinking of you and willing those embies to settle in.

I haven't heard from the FC today - I think they no longer call on day 2 - but should find out tomorrow afternoon sometime how many can be frozen.

The sedation from EC caught up with me last night and I zonked out at about nine pm. Then I was dreaming that I was in a taxi in Paris driving down all these long boulevards at night time with white, flowing curtains blowing out of all the windows as we drove past. I kept falling asleep in the dream and then asking the driver if he knew where to take me. In the end he said he couldn't understand my French and tried to charge me loads of money. Hoping for a quiet night tonight!

WildflowerMarmalade · 23/04/2015 20:43

Sorry Lucie - got distracted by cooking dinner and forgot to say I'm excited for you for tomorrow. Let us know how it goes.
