Yay gill
Amazing news. You'll be PUPO in hours!
Better send out a signal to the 'copter to get plumping cushions!

WildflowerMarmalade · 16/04/2015 09:40

Fabulous, fabulous news Gill! What a terrific day - this has been so long coming.

tigerdog · 16/04/2015 09:59

Hooray!!! So excited for you gill!

Nice moves beaky you're definitely our head cheerleader!

How is everyone else getting on today?

Scan was fine, both ovaries clear although the right one was hiding so a bit of poking around was required. First dose of menopur done and appointment made for next Friday to check what's happening and start thinking about EC. I've felt pretty good during DR and hoping that stimming is also ok!

sparechange · 16/04/2015 10:06

Great news tiger
This is a Good Day for Berryland!

WildflowerMarmalade · 16/04/2015 10:10

Yay for Tiger! Keep the good news coming.

beakybeak · 16/04/2015 10:21

Brilliant tiger! Give me a T etc (typing all of that would take an age sorry!) glad things are looking up for the berries.

Spare is it you next? I have a couple of cartwheels and splits ready for you too Grin

sparechange · 16/04/2015 10:35

Beaky, we are going to have to get you a cheerleaders outfit Grin
Mine are coming out of the freezer tomorrow morning, and we'll get a call from the embryologist in the afternoon to let us know how they are looking and to book me in for the transfer on Saturday. Gulp.
Lucie, any more news today?

tigerdog · 16/04/2015 10:44

Ps if a 65 year old lady can have quads then there is hope for us all!!!!

WildflowerMarmalade · 16/04/2015 10:52

Spare for one brief moment there I wondered why you were keeping your cheerleading outfits in the freezer. Obviously it's because they are hot, hot, hot!

sparechange · 16/04/2015 11:03

Wild
A friend once asked us if we kept our embryos in our freezer at home Grin

lucieloos · 16/04/2015 11:33

Eeekk good luck Gill you will be pupo in a few hours!!

No more news today spare, just hoping these follies grow fast. I read that if you have 4 quite large follicles then the smaller 13-15mm ones also have a good chance of containing a mature egg? I'm triggering tomorrow. Trying to drink loads of water today to plump them up!! Hope everything goes ok with your frosties tomorrow. Keep us posted.

Tiger, great news about your scan, all sounding good!

tigerdog · 16/04/2015 11:39

Grin at embryos in the freezer at home, imagine, safely stashed between the chicken fillets! Then you can get your homemade peashooter out for the next step spare!

You sound so much more positive lucie! We're all cheering your follicles on!

WildflowerMarmalade · 16/04/2015 11:51

Embryos in the home freezer and a peashooter!? I hope to goodness that IVF really is that simple for future generations.

sparechange · 16/04/2015 12:13

Wild My clinic were doing trials of 'IVF in a box' last year, so it might actually happen one day!

lucieloos · 16/04/2015 12:31

I'm definitely feeling a little less stressed today tiger. Just hope that egg collection will go ok and we will be pleasantly surprised rather than disappointed at each stage!

Gillster · 16/04/2015 15:40

After 14 very long months since IVF, I am finally PUPO. Two (hopefully very) sticky embies on board. It all feels a bit surreal!

Thanks for all your lovely comments ladies, means a lot. Grin

happylass · 16/04/2015 15:50

Woooohooo! Gil I'm absolutely over the moon for you. You have the patience of a saint and I really hope that this is it for you. When's OTD? (Is there an OTD with natural FET?). Literally keeping everything crossed for you.

WildflowerMarmalade · 16/04/2015 17:08

You are one patient and determined lady to make it to this point Gill. Hats off to you. Here's wishing you a not-too-mental and successful 2ww.

Gillster · 16/04/2015 17:11

OTD is 29th. It's actually a medicated FET though as I've been on oestrogen patches. Don't think it's going to sink in for a few days.

Did anyone have embryo glue on their transfers?

pontsian · 16/04/2015 17:15

Fantastic news Gill!! Everything crossed and doubled crossed that this is the one (or two)!!
Great news too tiger!

sparechange · 16/04/2015 17:18

Yay Gill
Have you got fanny candles or anything like that as well?

Gillster · 16/04/2015 17:29

Fanny candles aplenty Spare Shock

barkingtreefrog · 16/04/2015 17:35

Woohoo gill!!!! Yes, I had embryo glue.

DH has just been told that he's had too much time off work for hospital appointments (I counted, 3 consultant appointments and one day for the ivf since September) and he's not allowed to come to the consultant appointment on Monday as he's got y12/13 and they're behind Sad.
Finding it very hard to hold it together right now, I didn't want to do this appointment on my own Sad.

IamKuma · 16/04/2015 17:50

Yay Gill finally. My legs and other appendages are firmly crossed for you!

Barking it sucks that Mr B can't be with you for the appointment, but you'll be fine. I've done all but one appointment alone and they have been OK.

Tiger Great news that you have started stimming, things are all go here!

My appointment today was pretty rubbish. I saw the consultant who did the EC, she said she wasn't surprised that it hadn't worked. The abnormal fertilisation was that there were 3 pronuclei which she said was usually an egg problem. She said that she though egg donation would be our best bet and not to bother with another cycle as she didn't think the risks of the invasive procedure were outweighed by the low chances of success.

I told her we were likely to try another time privately and she did mention the tactic that Wild is doing, where two collections are done, but she is also a consultant at CRGH. She then said that with my results few people would treat me as my AMH was so low at 1.6. Wild if you don't mind me asking, do you know what your AMH and FSH were?

To top it all off she couldn't print my results out as the network wasn't working so I have to go back and pick them up on Monday. Angry.

barkingtreefrog · 16/04/2015 18:08

So sorry kuma that sounds really shit, and not the positive appointment you needed.

I wouldn't mind about going on my own if I wasn't in such a mess over dates right now. If the clomid bfp had worked all that time ago we'd be sorting out a 1st birthday party for next week. Like DH's best mate is doing this weekend Sad. Both mc's are really getting to me at the moment, I suppose all tied up with the ivf failing as well. I was hoping to be pg by this anniversary and all the previous ones
And I'm going to be asking for two things the consultant has already said he doesn't believe in, so I'm likely to dissolve into tears and be useless, which is when Dh usually takes over the talking...
