The smallprint –

Hi pont yes you will need your amh tested before Reprofit will be able to determine your protocol. It's likely that they will put you on short though as you are same age as me and that's what they tend to go for at our age.

lucieloos · 15/04/2015 19:11

Oh and I didn't do any down regging on short protocol. They tend to go for antagonist in Reprofit so you do 1 injection a day until around day 9 to stimulate your follicles and then add in another injection to stop you from ovulating from day9.

barkingtreefrog · 15/04/2015 19:36

I've never had my AMH tested..

pontsian · 15/04/2015 20:00

Ok thanks for that Lucie, I am relieved that I arranged this appointment over a month ago - I knew I would need it. Hope you are feeling more relaxed this evening after all the stress of earlier. Just one thing though, when you went in for scan and the extra one today did you have to pay each time?

lucieloos · 15/04/2015 20:21

You can get your amh done at crgw straight away if you wanted to get it done quicker. Not particularly cheaper though around £80. Is your consultant on nhs? I had to wait around 7-10 working days for the results but I know people who have waited weeks for the results on nhs. I'm not sure what's involved in analysing them but it doesn't seem particularly quick even done privately.

Yes had to pay for each of the two scans at crgw. They were £100 a time. If you are going to have them done there then ask to book in with jodi she is lovely. Also make sure you have the same person do them both.

lucieloos · 15/04/2015 20:22

Oh I didn't pay for the second opinion that I went back for today. They did that for free as I wasn't happy with the one this morning.

pontsian · 15/04/2015 21:15

Yes the consultant is NHS, Im going to push to have it done with them on the 27th first and if it looks like it could take a while or a be a no go I'll pay out. Thanks for the tip on the nurses at CRGW! Its good that they didn't charge for the second opinion you had today and I guess in the scale of things I can suck up £100 a scan.

IamKuma · 15/04/2015 21:19

Lucie/Pont I think the AMH results are a bit slower because there are few labs that actually do the test so the bloods are sent away rather than being done on site.

FWIW, I had another scan after I had done my trigger and my one follicle had grown.

I've got my appointment at 4.30 tomorrow, late enough to get a good days work in before hand - which is good!

beakybeak · 15/04/2015 21:31

Lucie glad you're feeling a bit better about things now.

Big day tomorrow for a number of berries!

Tiger what time is your scan? Good luck! Grin

Gill sending all the good luck to your frosties! What will happen tomorrow for you? How are you feeling?

Kuma fantastic news that you've got your follow up tomorrow! Let us know how you get on.

Spare great that you have the go ahead for this cycle, I'll be sending good vibes and pompoming for your frosties too!

Wild when is your next scan?

pontsian · 15/04/2015 21:43

Good luck tomorrow Kuma fingers crossed it all goes well and too you to Gill It must be a really worrying/stressful time yet tinged with nervous anticipation and hope xx

tigerdog · 15/04/2015 21:49

My AMH results took over three weeks as they get sent off to one of only a few labs in the country. My NHS hospital also charged £100 for the privilege. It is meant to be a much more accurate indicator of ovarian reserve though so worth doing.

Great news on the appt kuma, hope you get some answers.

Good luck with the transfer spare, everything crossed for you. gill when are your kids getting onboard?

lucie I'm glad that you've had some reassurance and that you're still going ahead. It's all so anxiety inducing. I'm trying not to think too much about what lies ahead!

barking hope you're doing ok.

happy I hope you're surviving your week back at work.

Busy day tomorrow in berry land. I've got my scan to check that I'm all down regulated and can start stimming. beaky pleased to hear you're starting up again and hopefully with a better plan with short protocol. I would definitely prefer not to do 3 weeks of DR stabbing!

Ps....What the feck is a pouch of Douglas?!

Sorry if I've missed anyone, just catching up after a busy few days at work.

patch77 · 15/04/2015 22:01

Had my last injection following the last cycle of clomid, just got to wait till 28th to see the result. If it's negative got a consultant appointment on the 13th to start the ivf process. They have given us a list of the centres they can refer us to. Has anyone been to Bourne hall in Cambridge?

barkingtreefrog · 15/04/2015 22:15

I've got a really busy day tomorrow and am then away straight from work on Friday all weekend and not sure if I will have Wifi/any connection. I'm going to be desperate for news if I can't log on, so much happening!!!

spare will be shaking my poms poms on Friday for you and then again on Saturday for the transfer (while trying to get up buttertubs on a bike).

gill everything crossed for good news tomorrow!!!

tiger hope the scan goes ok.

kuma fingers crossed for a productive appointment tomorrow, let us know how it goes.

Lucie hope you're feeling better about things now and everything goes ok.

Have I missed anyone else with something big happening in the next couple of days?!

WildflowerMarmalade · 15/04/2015 22:56

Grin Grin Grin at Happy's comedy geography.

Good luck to all Berries with a big day tomorrow. Keep us up to date - that's an order.

(Next scan is Friday for me Beaky)

Gillster · 15/04/2015 23:31

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. Feeling nervous and excited and praying we don't get bad news tomorrow morning. Have to wait until 10:30ish for the call and then go in around lunch time if we get the go ahead. The embies would have been defrosted today so assume some of them must have made it out of the freezer OK or we'd have had a call today. We just need some good division tonight.

Fingers crossed Lucie and Spare, hoping we all glide into the 2WW without any difficulties.

Good luck with scan tomorrow Tiger, hope you can start the stimming soon.

Hello to everyone else, I'll keep you updated.

happylass · 16/04/2015 06:44

All the very best of Berry luck for today Gill. Thrilled that this is finally happening for you after all this time. Will be thinking of you this morning.
Good luck to everyone else with scans/appointments. Exciting times in Berry HQ!

beakybeak · 16/04/2015 08:59

Eeek Gill pom-poms galore over here you, hoping everything is perfect and will be thinking of you this morning!

beakybeak · 16/04/2015 09:00

Tiger what time is your scan at? good luck lady!

Gillster · 16/04/2015 09:04

Just gone for a little 3 mile jog/walk to get the blood flowing! I guess that's the benefit of a FET, your body is much more rested rather than recovering from the after effects of stimming and EC. Just have to wait for THE call...

Gillster · 16/04/2015 09:05

PS - living the moves Beaky Grin

Gillster · 16/04/2015 09:06

*loving not living, gah

Gillster · 16/04/2015 09:19

Just had THE call. We have two embies ready to go back early afternoon. I didn't ask how the other two went as didn't see the point in stressing about whether they didn't defrost OK or lamenting that we'd just wasted 2 good embies. Have to be there for midday and I'm third on the list for transfer - exciting! GrinGrinGrin

beakybeak · 16/04/2015 09:26

Eeeeeeekkkkkkkkk brilliant news Gill I'm over the moon for you! Good luck for et and let us know as soon as you are PUPO! Grin
