dino - Tis a very controversial thread. Don't nornally do controversial bit felt I had to say something.

Re age gap: I am living proof that breastfeeding does not suppress fertility! Quite happy to admit that lovely DD (whom we would not be without) was the result of a pity shag when DS was 14 weeks old!

Imps9 · 23/02/2015 15:25

Eeeeek EC will be on Thursday!! My bloods were all good today so just one more stimming jab to try to get the littler follies a big bigger. Feeling distinctly unpositive about this cycle now but at the same time I am brooking no argument and whatever the outcome am still very excited to be doing this.

3 times a day Hinks??

Imps - 7 sounds very good. You must try and say it in a Len Goodman-esque fashion. It sounds even better.

Imps9 · 23/02/2015 15:44

Oh yes, you're right, it does!! se-VERRRRRN :)

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 23/02/2015 15:44

7 is great!!! I remember sweetie being disappointed with I think 5, she has twins + a frostie!

ooh yay for Thursday

I cannot imagine the energy for anywhere near 3 a day hinks! 3 a week would be hard enough...

sparks this just a faulty pee stick and along cycle

gob are you back at work? they'll love you with your imminent bfp... Wink

keepitgoing · 23/02/2015 15:45

when did mrimps have a erm, clearout...?

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 23/02/2015 15:49

No - I gave up work. Was going to have to get a nanny and they made it quite clear that I wasn't going to be promoted. This was after being on a partner track pre-pregnancy twunts

Might do some self-employed stuff as do still have some good contacts but I'm a lazy arse Grin.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 23/02/2015 15:50

imps - you must shout that out as they finish the EC! Grin.

Imps9 · 23/02/2015 16:05

Mr I had a, erm, spring clean on Sunday. Should he abstain or have another, erm, whip round with the duster before Thursday do you think??

I personally would like the whole EC process to have a SCD theme. You can't have too many sequins and crystals floating about while people shove medical equipment up your fanny, in my view.

OP posts:
Gobbolinothewitchscat · 23/02/2015 16:10

I think he should have a whip-round. Nice to have nice, fresh, erm....whatever's [disclaimer: I have NO medical knowledge whatsoever and can hardly put a plaster on!].

But, if you were TTC the old-fashioned way, you would definitely have done the deed quite a lot so maybe best to try and mimic this? I really have no idea what I'm talking about.......

NoMaybeAboutIt · 23/02/2015 18:46

Imps!! How exciting!!! Yes to the SCD theme. Lie back and think of Jake I have no idea about the spring clean. Did the clinic have any advice?

Hinky!!! Three times a day Shock

Dino, 4 under 3!!!!! She deserves a Bartlet medal for that, no?!

Is the Keep household recovered now?

How you feeling Loopy?

Any more symptoms Sparks?

keepitgoing · 23/02/2015 20:30

imps I seem to recall we were told 2-5 days. so nothing from tomorrow morning Wink tonight might be perfect

yes maybe thank you though the constant cough/cold continues

gobbo is that not er illegal?

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 23/02/2015 20:36

Um.....yes. I got quite a good pay out in the end Wink. Law firms are the worst at not complying with laws though!

imps I'm afraid that EC might not live up to your expectation of sequins and crystals :o I was wearing a cotton gown, hairnet and strange knee-high socks. The socks were very loose so they weren't support stockings, I think they were just to keep my feet and legs warm whilst I was laying there with my legs in stirrups.

keepitgoing · 24/02/2015 08:52

imps did trigger go OK? Grin. grow follies grow!

sparks did you ever use contraception after twinks? if not you've been trying since he was born... I think the nhs would do blood tests and scans and things, but not ivf. they may do clomid too but I think the drug itself is quite cheap anyway. I've been referred to bwh and seen the consultant, had a dildocam etc. I will just pay for the fet. so definitely worth doing as you know how long these things take

frosties will be coming over in under 3 weeks Smile can't use them till I get a job though

keepitgoing · 24/02/2015 08:56

imps the worst was after when I had to lie there for 30 mins hips tilted up. I needed a wee as had had v full bladder for transfer, had to use a bedpan Blush Blush Blush not all clinics make you lie down though. the transfer itself was like a smear, except pressing the u/s thing on my bladder to see what the were doing

enjoy your day off drugs! x

keepitgoing · 24/02/2015 08:57

beedle Grin at the glamour. have you got the drugs sorted? grow follies grow!!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 24/02/2015 09:50

keep I haven't sorted the drugs yet, hopefully I'll be able to go to the pharmacy on wednesday after work. the actual prescription gets sent electronically so I don't have to pick up a piece of paper to take with me. But it looks like MrB is coming with me for the dildocam so if necessary we can get teh drugs from the hospital pharmacy on Thurs. They have to be kept cold so i didn't want to have to put them in the fridge at work Shock he can leave them in the car, its probably colder than the fridge anyway!

sparks, do go to see the GP. The GP will do blood tests on you (such as prolactin, thyroid, full blood count) to see if there is anything causing the long cycles and possible ovulation problems.

imps, I had to read your "spring clean" post about 4 or 5 times before I (think I) understood! Definitely go for EC in a nice evening gown and heels, DH in black tie. It will add some class to the situation.

Pastamancer · 24/02/2015 14:42

Call yourself a Dr Dino? :o

keepitgoing · 24/02/2015 14:53

er I think you must mean 20 months sparks don't think you can say you were trying while you were pregnant! Wink Grin

pasta are you still diffed woman? come on sneeze that baby out in time for imps' bfp Smile

Imps9 · 24/02/2015 14:59

Arg just had call from BH - have to trigger at half past midnight! Do they not know how much beauty sleep I need???

OP posts:
Gobbolinothewitchscat · 24/02/2015 15:04

Bloody hell - are you going to stay up or set 17 alarms?

sparkle - my pal had two DC with no problems. Couldn't manage to conceive again. The doc prescribed clomid and that did the trick. I think she said to me that it was for 6 cycles and then she would have moved onto some further tests etc. she went to her GP and then got a private referral for some tests and then the clomid. She said it was surprisingly affordable and she was able to see a consultant within about two weeks. If she hadn't dine that, her GP was very supportive and had no problem making an NHS referral for her and I think she would have been seen pretty promptly with that too
