MrB is busy now so I can write more!

EC was rather painful as they stuck the needle through my bladder on the way to my ovary, I don't think its too rare. The doctor only mentioned it when the nurse tried to explain that the pain was due to the needle going through the wall of the vagina (or something) and he said no it was due to it going through my bladder. Shock They gave me more morphine but it was still rather ouchy. The extra morphine made me all dizzy and sweaty, I probably would have fainted if I hadn't been laying down already! I had to be moved back to my cubicle on a trolley rather than the usual walking.

I've been told to drink (and wee) lots to try to avoid getting a urine infection, and to worry if I can't wee Shock

But the good news is MrB's swimmers were fine (only one JIAJ required), and I don't have to use the applicator for the progesterone pessaries I can use my finger :o

We won't hear anything tomorrow but we'll be back in on Thurs pm as long as everything goes ok.

Hooray Beedles! Great news but have some Thanks for your poor bladder!

I've been posting on another thread recently about having a 3rd DC and one of the ladies on there advised using a calendar to mark out 'yes' and 'no' days for one month. Apparently, it's how her friend decided to go for dc4 after being undecided, as there were more 'Y's than 'N's on her calendar at the end of the month.

So I started my Y/N schtick on on Saturday. Saturday and Sunday were 'Y' days (DH doesn't work those days and life is sweet with him around Smile). However, yesterday and today were both a Y and N. Yesterday, I saw my friend who is a friend is expecting her 3rd baby in the summer and I cooed over her bump - I love pg/being pg (Y); Dd2 is growing tall that she is looking too long now in her buggy and I miss having a bundle all snug and tucked up tight (Y); both DDS played beautifully from 4-5pm after school (YYY).

It all went tits up from 5pm: tantrums, refusals and meltdowns (my own at 7pm Blush) (NNN). AF is due, turning me into an irritable, short-tempered, snapping shadow of my usual self. I didn't parent the tantrums well. I either need to get pg, or have contraception that kicks that AF mutha down!! I hate my PMS!

Today I was busy so didn't think about it much until one of the school mums rolled up with her beautiful, sleepy week-old baby. What a joyful sight! (Y). She looked so happy and I was so excited for her Smile

But then dd2 missed her nap (my youngest girl still needs a 40-min afternoon snooze) and played up something rotten (NNN). I mean, I was frazzled by the end of it (NNN) (she went on in her rage-fuelled angst for almost 1hr before conking out in the car).

I'm still recovering. Very embarrassing as it was in front of MIL Sad (on my side but said how naughty dd2 is, which I feel is a reflection on my parenting).

So, what's that on balance? Going to need a few more days to work that out, I think.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 04/03/2015 08:59

beedle - hope you're ok. Sounds like everything went well?

imps - glad to hear that baby imps is behaving. Fingers crossed for the other two.

So - I did an IC test today. I think I am 8 DPO and it looks like there is a very faint line. But that can't be right, I think, at 8dpo so I'm treating it as an evap line; particularly as I don't know exactly when I ovulated. Which is a bit annoying so need to do the OP tests more carefully next month. When I had DS I had a 28 day cycle all the time. Now it can drift to 30 days. I've googled to see why and scared the crap out of myself about peri-menopause. I'm only 37!!

molotov - I sympatgise with the wondering re: DC3. We decided to go for it as I'm 37 so can't hang about and I feel that, whilst it will be harder, we would regret not having (or trying) for a DC3.

hinkyhonk · 04/03/2015 09:19

Hang on gob a line is a line and all that... How many tests you got? When you going to test again?

I too am 37 so feel time ticking. We were 80% certain that we wanted to go for DC3 but I was a bit surprised at how disappointed I was last month when not pg. not that I expected it to work that quickly but there is always a chance right? Anyway it reconfirmed for me that I do want another face around our table.

Due to ov tomorrow according to some wanky app so still in the waiting game. Dull.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 04/03/2015 09:28

hinky - I have another 48 Blush. Bumper Amazon delivery along with about 100 OPKs!

At 8dpo? I just think it must be an evap. It has some colour to it but very faint. However, that was how surprise DD started off when I tested just because I was so knackered. I thought I needed an iron prescription!

I feel knackered at the moment and have sore boobs. But I always feel knackered so think no change there Grin

I think I will test again tomorrow am. No point doing it again today as that was the "best" pee as first thing and think anything else would be too dilute. I'm not buying any FRER until I have something more conclusive on an IC.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 04/03/2015 09:30

hinky - that's exactly how we feel re: another face around the table. Do worry a bit about expense later on when they are teenagers but we'll deal with that when the time comes. Luckily been able to start saving for some things now so that makes me feel a bit calmer

BeedlesPineNeedles · 04/03/2015 09:35

imps they certainly didn't mention that it was a possibility beforehand. I didn't even have to sign a consent form (with all kinds of worst case complications) as I was awake, and therefore consenting by not running away! But I'm feeling a lot more comfortable today, though its not so good when I cough or sneeze.
Any news on the other 2 embryos?

cat are you sure you're not more than 8dpo? and how quickly did the line appear? I hope you're going to test again tomorrow!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 04/03/2015 09:53

Ouch Beedle you poor thing. Glad you're recoveringn today. So excited for tomorrow for you.

How you doing Imps? Hope the brood is doing well.

Gob, we need a picture!! I agree with Beedle, are you sure you are only 8dpo?

farfallarocks · 04/03/2015 10:17

beedle that is an impressive haul well done you. EC sounds gruesome, I thought everyone was asleep as standard!! Hope you are feeling ok.
All crossed for great fertilisation.

imps hope all is well with the implettes and you are taking it easy!
gob that is impressive, am hoping that is a BFP for you!!
loopy any news?

Just gearing up to shag week in the far household, we are away this weekend sans mini far and I am hoping the timing might be right. Little far is quite unsettled at the moment at night, its almost as though she does not want a sibling the way she is carrying on!

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 04/03/2015 10:44

Imps hope all is going well and hope beedles babies are growing nicely.

No news here, not done any more tests, just continuing with the progesterone and aspirin and checking my knickers far too much! 6 weeks scan is 2 weeks today, hoping all is ok. Am already shattered, boobs are inflated and insomnia has struck at night, and more stretching sensations so all feels ok so far, but then it did last time round at this stage. I think the next 2-3 weeks are my danger zone, just hoping we can get past it.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 04/03/2015 11:43

loopy - got everything crossed for you. You sound amazingly calm and together given the circumstances.

OK - I found my ramekin of wee in the bathroom as had to abandon it this morning as thought DS was about to hit DD in her cot. I have done another test with it and attaching a photo. The photo is a bit shit so not sure you can see anything or maybe I'm just a loon! Maybe it's just an evap. Do you get them with every test?

I'm not sure re: ovulation. Going by a 28 day cycle, AF is due on Tuesday so ovulation would have been last Tuesday and I had a positive OPK. But I did an opk on Friday, and it still looked positive Confused. So maybe I ov-ed on Friday. I had a sore side on Friday. Cross with myself that I didn't do the OPKs more carefully and each day.

Confused x 100

BeedlesPineNeedles · 04/03/2015 11:54

cat I can't see anything but I'd be really surprised if you got 2 evap lines, I've used plenty of cheapy tests and never had an evap line. I think you need an FRER :o

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 04/03/2015 12:02

beedles - I'm wondering if I have made myself cross eyed staring at it! Grin

I can see a bit if something in .the photo if I hold it away a bit. Oookkkaayyy - officially entering loon territory!

No FRERS till I get something more conclusive. Wish I had a microscope!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 04/03/2015 12:18

cat if you can see something there I'm sure there is a line. I think if it appears within the 10 min(?) time limit then its not an evap line its a real one :o

Don't read if you're eating!
In case anyone is interested, I can let you know that my new progesterone pessaries are nearly as disgusting as crinone! the only difference is that the residue is less cottage cheese like, but still pretty gross. Especially as its mixed with blood from yesterday and so is a nice shade of brown. I'm going to get throiugh a lot of pant liners over the next few weeks :o

Pastamancer · 04/03/2015 12:25

I can't see anything but it is always harder from a photo. If you turn the test sideways can you see anything that way?

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 04/03/2015 12:31

I have marked this as officially inconclusive! Testing will recommence tomorrow
