I had progesterone rubella and amh (ovarian reserve) tested at my day 21 bloods. didn't have to do the urine though. could be testing for other hormone levels or maybe proteins, or to check you aren't already pg?

MyBlackCat · 15/06/2015 20:05

My day 21 progesterone levels were 47 which I understand to mean I'm ovulating which is good, doctor basically said all was ok for me, pelvic scan also shows all ok although not seen official report. DH has doc appoint to get SA later in the week.

Not sure why all the blood was taken and exactly what was tested or why the urine was taken. Had day 4 bloods today, results later in the week.

34 today. Another baby-less, pregnancy-less birthday. Whoop. streamers

Mamama31 · 18/06/2015 08:05

Laura sorry I'm just seeing this now. I hope you had a nice Birthday. I know it's hard getting older and still not achieving what you want the most. But it will happen, keep trying and keep believing x

victoria401 · 19/06/2015 09:00

Sorry about your baby-less birthday Laura :-( lucky number 35? It was for me. Keep the faith x

Hope you're all ok? Thread had dropped off the edge of the world!

Hi ladies, looks like you are all keeping a low profile as I was also. Just wanted to update on where we are at though as had our fertility appointment today. We are going to give siui a go, the wait is about 3 months for that so should hopefully start end of September (ish) which is quite nice timing for us as will be after our hols and we will be ready to ttc again. The consultant said he will also put us on the list for ivf (it's 6-9 months long) as iui has low success rates but thought we might as well try it while we wait for ivf...nothing to lose really.

The iui will be stimulated with injections etc so I'm dreading that! But thought it's worth a try. Got my amh resul

Mamama31 · 23/06/2015 18:38

stupid phone

As I was saying I got my amh results and they are fine. However DH SA was completely different from last time as only issue last time was 20% antibodies where these results showed 0% antibodies but low morphology (3%) and low count (10 million). So I feel we can't win, one issue eradicated and something else appears to be the problem. Just shows how SA results can differ but given that we did conceive I'm trying not to worry too much and just focus on staying healthy for starting iui.

So that's me for now. Hope you are all battling on through this horrific journey. I'm glad to be taking a couple months off ttc to be honest- it just gets too much. Chat soon x

Rachelc82 · 23/06/2015 19:14

Good that things are moving on for you mamama. Seems a long wait for Ivf wow. We have just been referred to fertility clinic, GP said its 6-8 week waiting list. The waiting is so hard.
Nice you have a holiday to look forward to though Smile

monkerina · 24/06/2015 11:33

Hi ladies, not been on this thread before but it was the first I found with mentions of soy Smile I have a sealed, unopened jar of Tesco soya isoflavones here that I never got round to using- went down the Chinese herb route instead- and thought it'd be wasteful to just chuck them if anyone else could get some use! If anyone wants them, please PM me. Best of luck on your TTC journeys xx Flowers

kiwiblue · 24/06/2015 17:04

Hi all, hope you all are doing ok!

Mamama, good to hear your update and that you have a plan in place - the waiting times are very long aren't they!

I got all my test results today - we're just waiting on DH's SA analysis results to come back and then we can get the fertility referral. GP said everything was normal, but when I passed my results on to DuoFertility (I've been using the monitor for a few months) they said that my progesterone is borderline low (it was 17) and the reason for this may be because the test was done on Day 23 which was only 5 days after ovulation for me, and that I should get the test redone at 7 days after ovulation. Frustrating! I'm thinking as I have everything I need I should just proceed with referral for now?

I wanted to ask you all about the referral process and waiting times, as I'm not really sure what to expect next. Rachel, I see Rachel you have to wait 6-8 weeks for an appointment, so I suppose I should prepare myself for a wait!

I have to say I'm feeling a bit crap about it all at the moment - the usual, everyone I know is getting pregnant etc, but I am trying to stay positive.

Thanks everyone, chat soon x

Rachelc82 · 24/06/2015 21:30

Hi kiwi. Yes 6-8 weeks the GP told us to expect to wait to get an appointment at the fertility centre then I expect they'll be more waiting for tests ect.
Can I ask what fertility monitor you used?

kiwiblue · 29/06/2015 13:13

Hi Rachel, I'm on the DuoFertility monitor - been on it for about 5 months.

Lauraqc · 14/07/2015 22:54

Hi everyone just checking in...hope you're all ok. Mama good to hear you're on the list and gearing up again...

We've been on our hols and obviously despite weird cycles I managed to come on during the holiday! Sod's Law isn't it?! So I've now had 5 cycles ranging around 28-40 days in length and seem to be ovulating which is much better than before. No further tests for DH but he's been really good on the vits and no caffeine etc and a bit more exercise so I'm just keeping everything crossed. I've joined the gym and have lost 6lbs (but put 3lbs back on on hols ha) and we've got our next NHS appt on 12th Aug. we've decided that if we have had no luck by then we're starting process for private ICSI in Czech Rep.

In 2 minds about it still; we've been TTC for 24 months now but I've actually only had about 9/10 cycles in that time so actually the odds haven't been that great and maybe it'll still happen, but the other side of it is that I'm 34 and DH is 35 now and it may take a bit of time to get going with the ICSI so I don't feel like I want to put it off any longer. Any thoughts/advice anyone?

Vic/Metal I think of you ladies every now and then - hope you're both blooming :) xx

Metalhead · 15/07/2015 16:46

Hi laura, I hope you managed to have a nice holiday despite AF putting in an appearance? Well done on the healthy living front too, sounds like you and DH are both really committed - hopefully it will pay off soon!

As for me, I wouldn't say I'm 'blooming' exactly though the bump is definitely growing! Got our 20w scan next Wednesday. Physically this pregnancy has been much harder than with DD1, I'm still feeling exhausted and get headaches most nights, although the nausea has finally stopped. Still, I'm not complaining (much)!

Metalhead · 15/07/2015 16:47

Oh and I hope all you other lovely ladies are doing ok too.

Victoria401 · 18/07/2015 23:26

Hi there. Very quiet in here these days. Great to hear things are progressing for you Laura hope your NHS appointment goes well. Well done on the healthy living, you're allowed a blip on holiday. Sorry you bad AF on your hols, hope it didn't spoil things too much! Oh and I was 35 when I got my bfp so you're not over the hill yet ;-)

I'm with metal on the same AN thread. I have my 20w scan in just over a week. And I've been quite poorly thus far too!

I think about you guys too and wish you all the best x

Hi all. sorry I've been AWOL. I've just parted with the best part of £3k and started bcp ready for 2nd ivf and start injections on 25/8. mamma injecting is easy, don't worry.

I also wanted about 4-6weeks for referral appointment. we had 1st appt on 1/4/14 and started injections for 1st ivf 28/12/14 and that's at a clinic with no waiting list so be prepared for lots of waiting ladies. that's the hardest part IMO.

good to hear from vic and metal. sorry your both still feeling rough though. hope scans went well. did u find out what you are having?

Metalhead · 26/07/2015 20:55

Hi lil, good luck with your next round of IVF, I really hope this one is successful!

All was well at our scan, thanks for asking, and we're having another girl (though we already knew that from the Harmony test).

Lauraqc · 28/07/2015 08:18

Hi Lil, Metal and Vic and everyone else! Glad to hear you lovely ladies are ok!

Nothing much going on with me, DH has been feeling the pressure and I'm feeling very frustrated! Just started the 5:2 diet and waiting for the next appt. This whole thing is a massive long hard slog!

chopsface · 07/08/2015 19:10

I found you again!!

lil good luck with your 2nd ivf hun!

Laura keep up the good fight. You'll get there somehow in the end x

We found out last week that we're having a boy! So thrilled :-)

lildottie · 10/08/2015 09:19

chops/vic hi! congrats on boyby! can't believe u are already far enough along to know what you are having!

hope everyone else is well. 14 bcps left before injections start here :)

Lauraqc · 12/08/2015 15:38

Hi all,

Yay Chops lovely news! Good luck with the IVF round Lil i've got a good feeling about this one :)

We've just had our fertility appt today at the hospital - it was bloody hard sitting in the waiting room (waiting 50 mins after our appt time) watching all the ladies with bumps going for their scans :( we were told unequivocally it's ICSI for us. I fought to get a HSG on the NHS which he relented and allowed me to have; and then it's ICSI privately. Just got to bite the bullet now and make the first Skype appointment.

Don't know how I feel about it all; neither of us can take any time off work until January anyway so it's certainly going to be a bit of a wait for us. Still need to lose some weight though so maybe that's not such a bad thing.

Hope everyone else is ok xx

lildottie · 24/08/2015 08:50

Hi all. last day of bcp for me today, injecting starts tomorrow. not feeling ready!

Laura that's annoying you were waiting where all the pg ladies were. it's bad enough having to walk past the maternity section of hospital to get to my clinic without having to be sat with them all! have u had the hsg yet? were you given any advice to improve sperm between now and treatment. we were told definitely icsi but for dh to take 1000mg but c a say plus zinc and selenium and his number were good enough for ivf when we did our first cycle.

Lauraqc · 06/09/2015 22:59

Hey Lil hows it going?

Hey everyone else!

Quick update from me - got af again on sat and am ringing in the morning to try and get my HSG booked in...am also ringing a 2nd consultant private cos I want a 2nd opinion on what's happened (or not as I think) so far and also my PCOS diagnosis. I've also made the initial enquiry with Reprofit and we've got tentative plans to go in Feb if we can.

How's everyone else getting on?

lildottie · 07/09/2015 13:40

Hey Laura I'm down regging atm, first scan on Wednesday then hopefully start stimms to grow me some fat juicy eggs!

Glad your moving forward with the hsg. How's the weight loss going? My diet has not been going well. Hoping it doesn't affect our outcome in a few weeks.
