Sparkly, you absolutely do not need an implantation dip to show on your chart despite having seen one on your bfp chart. Hold on tight, sweetheart.

mummyofonesofar · 12/02/2015 09:39

Wow great temp Purdey.

austral I have had a baby and I think I noticed a slight change in openness this week. For me, the bottom of my cervix is squishier than the top. I go by he bottom section as too doesn't seem to change too much. Also it is pursed lips sponginess when you are checking. Other than that you just need to get get to know your cervix I think. Like many of us spending time with our fingers up there in the work toilets!

mummyofonesofar · 12/02/2015 09:46

Hahaha

Hairstylisttoboris · 12/02/2015 09:52

mummy that's so funny

To who ever asked the question about cervix (sorry I missed who it was). I go with poking the bottom of my cervix as it's the only bit I can easily asses. I have poked it lots recently and now know how it feels to me, but I'm really sorry I cant easily explain the differences!

Really please to hear that IVF in Spain it Bulgaria might be an option. I'm technically banned from travel to the Czech republic (although it was so long ago I'd be the old paper records don't exist now)

mummyofonesofar · 12/02/2015 10:00

Ooh Boris another one with a shady past!

tessiegirl · 12/02/2015 10:05

Just quickly marking my place so I can keep up with you all...off to join the March bus...

australopithecus · 12/02/2015 10:06

boris Shock why? You HAVE to tell!
mummy that photo is hilarious! Grin
Right, mummy did not know that about the pursed lips thing. Firmer than relaxed lips. I think that may change my reading of it but won't stick my fingers up my fanny to recheck until I finish typing this. Very helpful about the bottom and the top difference too.
Ah and mummy I now have the image of the woman at the checkout/library/radio having just come back from the work loo where she'd been poking at her cervix. Maybe I'll ask? Grin

BowiesJumper · 12/02/2015 10:28

Morning all. I got a REALLY strong opk positive this morning, so I guess that's the true surrrrrge. We dtd last night, and will tonight, tomorrow and Saturday (I'm sure himself will be flagging by then!!) and maybe one for luck on Sunday/Monday...

I am SO rubbish at temping that I think all of this month's should be discounted. I ordered the pink bbt thermometer and should get that tomorrow, up to now I've been using a normal one with only 1 decimal place, and I've been tossing and turning a bit before taking the temp. From now on I'm going to wake and TAKE. As it were.

THIS IS OUR MONTH LADIES.

Hairstylisttoboris · 12/02/2015 10:39

Generally I've lived a very innocent life, I'm more like sammy than purdey but one wayward year and an exciting trip round Europe by train saw me drinking more than I should, falling foul of a miserable boarder guard and getting myself into jail. Oopsie. They asked me to leave and advised me and my mates not to return. I gather they do that a lot....

bowies loving the optimism!

mummyofonesofar · 12/02/2015 10:40

bowies I have also just ordered the baby mad light up one so will be tempong like a pro from Saturday. Whoever recommended it should get commission! Purdey I am doing as I'm told!!

Austral can you imagine! I try to think only is on here do it and you're all miles away so I won't have a cervix checker scanning my kale through (off to buy some tonight in bid to be super healthy).

OH spoke to his friend last night about ttc and his friend told him to buy me some opks - glad someone told him indoors that it is normal to do these things. He thinks I am unnecessarily planning this all an generally being a control freak like normal.

juneybean · 12/02/2015 10:40

Here's my chart so far:

juney Poland????? Good god woman. Shall I just ask dh to pop some in the post to you? He's got right proper good stuff and I think he is rather fab too right clever and compassionate with decent teeth and all
Kale mummy wow! munches matzo bread
wtf is up with that gok activia ad? Women dancing with yogurt? Ffs! Pisses me right off it does!
bowie my temps are off too. I don't think lying down semi-sleeping while bfeeding for an hour between 4am and 5am is what they mean when they say to take your temp when you're well-rested. This morning's recording was 0.4 degrees higher than yesterday's !! and as I'm only on cd9 I don't think it means I ovulated yesterday. Hmm

purdeybirdie · 12/02/2015 11:01

Austral, when you feel the 'bellend' of your cervix it should only be of one consistency. Do you mean the walls feel different to the bellend? I haven't read anything to suggest pregnancy and childbirth leave us with a more permanently-open cervix; the only difference is women who have not vaginally birthed a baby will have a circular opening whereas those who have experienced vaginal birth will have a slit-like opening. I am happy to be corrected on any of the above Smile

It is so difficult to accurately judge the status of the cervix that lots of women don't bother. I am only ever 60% sure I know that what I'm feeling is significant enough to chart.

lucieloos · 12/02/2015 11:10

Thanks Purdey that's really helpful Smile I do feel drawn to Reprofit having read people's reviews and experiences. I'm looking into success rates at the moment. It seems that Reprofit have 50% positive bfp rate and 40% clinical pregnancy with own eggs and Gennet possibly 45% although the latest results they have are from 2012 so not sure if that has changed. I have emailed them for more info. The only drawback with Gennet is I think they require you to organise your own ecg to show you are suitable for the anaesthetic and they also require a hysterscopy which all adds up to around an extra £600. Not sure if the few % difference is worth that.i do quite fancy staying in Prague rather than Brno though so will see when they get back to me with more info.

purdeybirdie · 12/02/2015 11:11

Crikey, Boris, they want to concentrate on the native alkies before slinging tourists in jail.

Mummy, do you and hubby always post the same pattern and amount of kisses to each other on texts? What would happen if you left one off? Would that be a deal breaker?

Juney, you're opk-testing every day, right? How lovely that you work with three families just think of all the valuables you could nick

juneybean · 12/02/2015 11:12

Haha yes please austral !

mummyofonesofar · 12/02/2015 11:17

Purdey we always put 6. Not sure when it started to be honest. And even if we have a row we still out them because we still love each other. Except that time he came home drunk from the pub when he was meant to be having DS so I could take the dog to the vet Angry. But yeah nearly always.

purdeybirdie · 12/02/2015 11:19

Ah, yes, Lucie, the hysteroscopy is insisted upon if you are using own eggs. Obviously they don't want to waste their time and brilliance on someone whose womb is about as hospitable as Guantanamo Bay.

Sparkly, did you test sneakily this morning at 10dpo? Just askin'...Wink Can I see your chart?

My glorious mother has taken the tot to her house for two hours instead of a cold trek to baby group. When said nipper returns it is exactly the point at which she will be lobbed into her cot for her two-hour nap. Yippeeeeeee!

Sparkly123 · 12/02/2015 11:19

Boosk and MrsGinger I'm so sorry for temp crashes and spotting.. But I did get a BFP with both last cycle.. So you just never know!!! I promised myself if it happens again going forward I'm def gonna keep going until AF arrives because honestly things can change in a day!! Sending Flowers

purdeybirdie · 12/02/2015 11:23

Oh, Raggy, you're preggo! Well done, old girl!

Coffee, I am so sorry for that crushing blow. I would take the advice of another poster and contact customer services; that could seriously send some poor women round the twist.

Sparkly123 · 12/02/2015 11:27

Rosebud Giddy and Purds
Yep as requested he is my chart today...
My update is:
lower back pain continues, pelvic cramping last night and stabbing pains in breasts this am on waking after the most horrific dream ever!!! What happened to my sweet new baby dreams?! Ha.

Anyway, those symptoms are most likely all due to the increase in progesterone that I seem to have had this month - I presume looking at temps on chart anyway-
So took my temp this am and another small rise. FF has now changed my OV date (as I thought) to CD 18.. Which ain't great as I dtd up to and including 18 but not after thanks to spermie syringe incident!
So technically only 8dpo. Just went for a pee and a little brown cm when wiping and in toilet Sad I don't feel crushed by the cm as I got it this stage last month too and I have promised myself this month to go with flow because it could turn out either way like last month. So I'm trying to go with that.
Good plan??
Talk to me ladies. Why are my temps so static and high? you think it's just my cycle changing after the mc?

Rolling rolling rolling, the February bus is still rolling!
