Only one week Trixie! Eek!
So good to start doing something! It's about 20 days until my baseline... Feels like forever! X

lucieloos · 01/09/2015 21:42

Hi there sorry for the lack of posts struggling a bit now the app isn't working. That's great that you only have a week to go trixie! My af has just finished so I need to wait for the next one now but I need to delay that one a bit as I have a hen party to to which I can't miss so I think I'm looking at starting around the 24th September. I'm literally counting down the days!

Sammy, hope all is good with you. Sounds like we could be starting around the same time.

Welcome Betty, good luck with your tests.

loopylou1984 · 02/09/2015 06:57

Me too Lucie - I miss the app!
Are they making a new one for us? Xx

lucieloos · 02/09/2015 08:16

Yes I think so Sammy but could be a few weeks yet Sad

Hi Lucielou Thanks and sorry, only just looked on here. Have finally registered at a docs so will make an appointment asap.
Pretty certain AF has started, into cycle 20.

Trixielilac11 · 07/09/2015 11:19

Thanks Betty! Sorry for AF, hope you can get an appointment soon.

Only a couple of weeks to go for you now Sammy and Lucie! Great that you guys will be cycling around the same time.

AF has just arrived, was expecting it yesterday or today. Got my hopes up this morning as there was no sign. Can't even console myself with a glass of wine this evening cos of the antibiotics. At least it is on time so will have my baseline scan tomorrow morning and then hopefully transfer 3 weeks today!

BettyFlower78 · 07/09/2015 13:13

Sorry for you Trixie! I'm defo out this month, Have gotten an appointment for next week. Hope you're ok xx

Trixielilac11 · 08/09/2015 13:31

Thanks Betty. Great that you've got an appointment, I think it always helps when you feel that you are doing something.

Had my baseline scan this morning for my FET, good to go so start Suprecur injections this evening and oestrogen tablets. 20 days to transfer!

BettyFlower78 · 08/09/2015 15:30

Thats great, fingers crossed for you Trixie

I feel better for making the appointment, bit nervous but at least, like you say, doing something :) xx

lucieloos · 08/09/2015 21:31

Yay for baseline trixie! That's interesting you are on suprecur as well I think I will just be on the estrogen for my fet. I've been a bit worried at the moment as a couple of people with hidden c have told me that they had a hysteroscopy at serum because penny felt that the infection could cause scarring on the uterus which their hysteroscopys confirmed. This was all removed and they then went on to have bfps whereas they had previously had unsuccessful cycles. I'm not sure what to do now as its a long way to go and expensive to have this hysteroscopy but I want to give myself the best chance possible. Have you heard anything like this trixie?

loopylou1984 · 09/09/2015 07:15

Trixie! 20 days, eeek! So exciting!
I'm not sure about the scarring, but have you had HyCoSy/hsg? Surely it would have showed up on there?

I'm 2dpo I think, so aprox 13 days until I'll have my baseline. Xx

loopylou1984 · 09/09/2015 07:16

Oh Lycy! I got your post muddled with Trixies, see below!
Betty - glad you've taken that first step. X

lucieloos · 09/09/2015 08:37

Hey Sammy, wow not long to go now so exciting!! I don't think it would show on the hsg and people have told me no point having the hysteroscopy done in the UK as they just look for polyps and fibroids and wouldn't take much notice of any scarring but serum actually remove it all which is apparently what is needed. I have been asking around on different forums and they have all told me they were really surprised how much they had and got their bfp once it had been removed. I really don't know what to do now!

lucieloos · 09/09/2015 08:40

Oh and they also said that antibiotics should be taken before any further IVF or fet which I asked penny and she confirmed.

Trixielilac11 · 09/09/2015 12:16

Thanks Betty!

Lucie, there seem to be plenty of people who have the test at Serum, take the antibiotics and then get a natural/IVF BFP without a hysteroscopy. I did raise concerns with the nurse yesterday about NK cells and problems with womb lining. She said that with NK cells they would prescribe prednisolone which I will be having anyway and that they would expect to see some sign of problems with my lining on my scans. She thinks I was just unlucky last time. That said, I think that if this FET is unsuccessful I would definitely consider a hysteroscopy.
I have nearly finished my antibiotics, can't wait to finish them.

Sammy, what meds are you on for your FET?

lucieloos · 09/09/2015 13:08

That's interesting trixie! I'm going to be doing pred and intralipids for nk cells so I'm fairly happy I have that side covered but I emailed penny and she has confirmed hysteroscopy and implantation cuts should be performs if any signs of hidden c. She did also say could have intrauterine wash and scratch as an alternative but it's not as effective as the hysteroscopy. I have emailed my clinic in Czech for more details on their hysteroscopy as they are meant to be very thorough and remove scar tissue etc. It's annoying that this has popped up now as I feel I need to do it now before risking any of my embryos.

Trixielilac11 · 09/09/2015 13:36

It's tough isn't it Lucie. Will be interesting to see what your clinic say.

lucieloos · 11/09/2015 17:24

I think I've decided to go for the hysteroscopy at my clinic in Czech. They can do an operative hysteroscopy which means they will remove any scar tissue and anything else which shouldnt be in there and also do a scratch. It's a pain as means I will need to make an extra trip over there but I was listening to professor winston talking about IVF on radio 2 earlier this week and he was saying about how a large number of women could avoid having IVF by having relatively straightforward procedures and he actually mentioned having adhesions removed by hysteroscopy and said if this isn't checked then women can be having numerous ivfs and none of them will stick if there is a problem such as that so that has made up my mind really. Nothing is straightforward thought you think you've got it all sussed and then something else pops up! I have been feeling lately that I would really like a transfer before Xmas but if I want to do the 3 rounds of egg collection then it won't be possible so will have to pray for a miracle from this next round or will have to wait until jan.

Where are you with your treatment now trixie? When do you have your next scan? Have they told you anything about the embryos they will transfer like what stage they are at etc?

loopylou1984 · 12/09/2015 08:03

Lucy that's interesting, glad you've been able to reach a decision. I was telling dh about the hidden infections stuff and he said if our FET fails then we should do it.
I'm not going to be around much for a couple of days as my dad is unwell. The hospital think he might have had a small heart attack :(. I just need to be with him.

Hope everything is going ok Trixie? Xx

lucieloos · 13/09/2015 22:19

Aww Sammy so sorry to hear about your dad. I hope he is ok and on the mend Flowers

I think the hidden infection test is brilliant and has definitely made a difference to me already and made my cycle length almost back to normal. I didn't really believe in it when I sent it off but it's the only explanation. It's not that expensive so definitely something to rule out.

Hope all is going well trixie.

Trixielilac11 · 15/09/2015 12:15

Hi ladies, sorry, have been a bit AWOL. All ok here, finished my antibiotics and have my next scan tomorrow. I'm on CD9 and AF finished a few days ago but had some bleeding this morning which is unusual. Will run it passed the nurse tomorrow.

Great that you've made a decision Lucie, I will definitely be going down the hysteroscopy route if this doesn't work. I was saying to DH that they should check for scarring when they go in to do the egg collection then they could remove any scarring while you're already anaesthetised. I've read a few articles about Doctors being too happy to send you down the IVF route without full investigations.
We've just been told that the best embryo will be thawed (and then the next best one if there is a problem with that one after thawing)

Sammy, so sorry to hear about your Dad, how is he doing?

Trixielilac11 · 16/09/2015 13:24

Me again, had my monitoring scan this morning and on schedule for the 28th. They're going to scan me again on Monday just to check then 1 week to transfer! Oh and the bleeding was old blood so she said nothing to worry about.

lucieloos · 16/09/2015 17:11

Yay glad you are on schedule trixie not long to go now!! I don't think they can check for scarring when you go for ec as the lining is too thick by then. My clinic have told me the hysteroscopy needs to be before day 10.

Hope you are ok Sammy and your dad is getting better.

Trixielilac11 · 17/09/2015 10:04

Ah of course Lucie! Should have thought about it more before I typed... When are you due to fly out for your hysteroscopy?
