Ohh that's brilliant news trixie! Intralipids are for high nk cells. They might be worth you discussing with your clinic as you have auto immune issues? They lower your nk cells and stop the body attacking the embryo so make implantation easier. Oh I was recommended to have them by Penny at serum because of the hidden infections so definitely worth you trying to get them. She said she would expect my nk cells to be high as a result of infection.

Trixielilac11 · 19/08/2015 15:38

Where did you get them from Lucie? My clinics general attitude seems to be three failed transfers before investigating implantation issues....The Doctor was happy to prescribe antibiotics but I don't know whether it will be the full protocol, we'll see. DH is collecting the prescription tomorrow. Have a few social events at the end of Aug/early Sept which I was hoping to have a few drinks at but this is much more important!
I had some blood tests recommended by my clinic due to my Raynauds (poor circulation) and one of those was for antinuclear antibodies and it came back clear.
Oh, Sammy, my transfer is going to be on CD21 (provided AF is on time) and will be based on my natural cycle so no need to take norethisterone this time.

lucieloos · 19/08/2015 15:44

Ahh serum are adamant you need the full treatment to get rid of the hidden c so I hope they will give you them all. My Czech clinic is happy to administer the intralipids for me and my UK clinic have also said they will do them if I get a letter from UK clinic which I have done. I think antinuclear is different to nk cells. I would rather just throw the whole lot at each cycle rather than waste 3 cycles only then to find out there's a problem.

Trixielilac11 · 19/08/2015 20:13

Makes sense to throw everything at it. Definitely something for me to think about.

Trixielilac11 · 21/08/2015 10:15

When do you get your next update about your embryos Lucie?

My clinic has prescribed me and DH Doxycycline for 21 days so planning to start that after the weekend. Need to pick up the rest of my meds too. Have my baseline scan on 8 September (provided AF is on time) so will ask re NK blood test then.

lucieloos · 21/08/2015 10:38

I have to ring up in just over an hour trixie eeekk!

That's great about the antibiotics. Is it two a day? What about the azithromycin?

Trixielilac11 · 21/08/2015 10:50

Good luck!
Yes, two a day. The Doctor wasn't happy about prescribing the azithromycin too and I am slightly apprehensive about taking two different types of antibiotics. I guess I could get in touch with Serum re the azithromycin on the 1st Sept.

lucieloos · 21/08/2015 10:57

Ah ok I think it was only something like 3 days of azithromycin throughout the whole treatment and you don't take the doxycycline on those days. At least you have the doxycycline though which is good. Will update you with my results soon!

lucieloos · 21/08/2015 12:36

Results are in and it's a mixed bag. They are looking for 8 cells today with grade 1 being excellent, grade 2 average and grade 3 poor. We got a 9 cell grade 1 and a 4 cell grade 2 so it looks like we are down to one embryo now. We would love to be able to freeze the 9 cell but I know this is the hardest part now where most drop off. Although on the plus side we had a 9 cell grade 1 last time and it made it to a fully hatched blast so we will see but not getting my hopes up too much.

Trixielilac11 · 21/08/2015 12:42

Great that you have an excellent embryo Lucie. I wouldn't give up on the other one just yet. I know we had 4 that weren't looking so great on day 3 and three of them ended up making it to freezing (I don't know how many cells or the grades on day 3 though) fingers crossed for your day 5 results.

lucieloos · 21/08/2015 13:31

Thanks trixie I'm pretty pleased with this one little excellent one. We would be over the moon if we could get one to blast to start off our little collection but as I said really trying not to think about it at the moment and not get my hopes up. We are going back in September for another round whatever the outcome so it's not the end of the world but would be a lovely little bonus!

coribeth · 21/08/2015 23:17

Well had rescan today and was so disheartened when she told me nothing had changed then on a whim she decided to try an external scan low and behold she found a 20mm follicle on the left ovary so excited forgot to ask her to check the right! On nights tonight but can't imagine I will be getting much sleep over the weekend ;-)

loopylou1984 · 23/08/2015 07:53

Ooh Cori, that's good news! When is EC meant to be?

Lucie - any news from your clinic?

Trixie - hope the antibiotics are going ok. Xx

lucieloos · 23/08/2015 11:01

Omg just got my day 5 update! The 9cell has made it to a hatching blast and the 4 cell which I thought had stopped growing is now a compacted morula so still a day behind but still going. He said should he's pretty sure the hatching blast will be suitable for freezing and they are going to check the morula again tomorrow. I think the chances of that one are slim as they are very particular about which ones they freeze and won't go for anything they don't think will survive the thaw. I'm chuffed to bits at the moment though. I will get a freezing report on a day or two which will let me know for sure.

loopylou1984 · 23/08/2015 13:05

Hooray Lucie!!! That's such good news Smile
So you'll have another round in September and freeze anything from that? When will transfer be? Xx

lucieloos · 23/08/2015 13:44

Yes Sammy I getting right into this now haha! I'm definitely going to do another round in September and see how that goes but I could even be tempted to do one more again! Ideally I would like to get 5-6 blasts frozen so that gives me a good few attempts and also a possibility of something left over for a sibling so I don't have to start again with older eggs in a couple of years. I don't know when transfer would be yet. If we go for 2 more rounds maybe not until nov-dec.

loopylou1984 · 23/08/2015 15:03

That's a really good plan! I'm so pleased things are going better for you Smile Xx

lucieloos · 24/08/2015 12:49

Thanks Sammy, some more good news from this end. My little compacted morula yesterday has made it to a hatching blast today so we have 2 hatching blasts that can be frozen. They are both grade 2 which means a small amount of fragmentation but still considered high quality. We are over the moon as never ever expected to get both of them. Can't wait to get started again now Grin

loopylou1984 · 24/08/2015 15:41

That's brilliant news Lucie!
It seems as though even though you don't produce many eggs, they must be good quality! How exciting! Xx

Trixielilac11 · 25/08/2015 11:34

Lucie that is amazing news, really pleased for you! I was trying to log in last night for your update but Mumsnet was down...finally in now.
Definitely makes sense to freeze now for future use.
Collected my meds for my FET yesterday, much cheaper than the fresh cycle. Started on the antibiotics last night so 2 tablets down, 39 to go...felt a bit nauseous after taking my tablet this morning but luckily that has passed.

lucieloos · 25/08/2015 15:15

Thanks both, had the final freezing report today which confirms 2 hatching blasts. Trixie I found it best to take those tablets straight after food or they would make me feel really sick. Hope you're ok Sammy! Anymore news on your fet?

loopylou1984 · 25/08/2015 16:31

Hi Lucie - congratulations! 2 out of 3 is fab!
I'm still waiting on AF, and then have to have another AF before starting. CD33 here! Xx

Trixielilac11 · 25/08/2015 16:55

Thanks Lucie, will make sure I take them straight after breakfast tomorrow.
When are you expecting AF Sammy? At least once it's out of the way you can get geared up for trying naturally next cycle.
Quick question did you ladies store all your meds in the fridge? Just realised my treatment plan says store all meds in fridge - clinic is closed so can't check till tomorrow.

lucieloos · 25/08/2015 18:16

No I didn't store in fridge. What meds are you talking about? Is this for your fet? Gonal f is ok out of the fridge for 3 months but can be kept for longer if you keep it in the fridge. Menopur doesn't need to be in fridge. The triggers have to be used in 30 days if not in fridge. I was told it will be too late to put them back in the fridge if kept out for any length of time and best not to.

Trixielilac11 · 25/08/2015 18:39

Yes, for my FET. I have cyclogest, prednisolone, clexane which I had last time plus two new ones progynova and suprecur. On the boxes they just say store below 25 degrees Celsius and don't freeze. Last time I had meds delivered by health care at home and they said just keep the Gonal f and trigger in the fridge. Tbh I'm sure it's fine in fridge or cupboard and don't have space for it all in the fridge.
