Let us know how ur bloods r determined. And let us know wot the nutriontist says too! I know low fat diary isn't great but I can't cope without my decaf Latte and yog ESP when dieting!
I weighed myself yest agast! Have put on 6 pounds!!! So mega dieting begins tmrw! Dear me.

sunnyday01 · 24/02/2015 09:04

Hi everyone - sorry i've not been around much but haven't felt i can contribute much whilst waiting around!

Hydroxy has been fine, have had no side effects (or none that I have noticed). Had my first set of blood tests last week too, so hopefully they are all ok (you have to have a liver and kidney function test every 3 months on hydroxy). AF looks to be starting today, so don't think I'm going to be able to try this month as it needs to be in your body 5-6 weeks before you can try, I've been on it 3 weeks on Thursday, so assuming 2 weeks to ovulation - its going to be very very close to being 5 weeks! In fact i could miss it by a matter of days - will seek some advice from Louise I think.

Hope everyone else is doing ok

Hi sunny.glad u ok on the hydroxy and I hope u can start sooner rather than later!

Yes it's been quiet on here as dont think any of us have much to say! I'm still ttc and loosing a bit of
Hope that it will happen naturally as each month passes! Hula thanks for ur advice-intresting that u can ovulate on the day of ur LH surge, the day after or 2 days after? Was this all in a similar time frame? I usually bd the day before surge and then daily after for 3 days. Thought that would cover it but wondering if I should just do alternate day instead so all based are covered and DH sperm had some rest time! I suppose when he sends his sample off I will know if that's a problem
Or not!

dildoos · 24/02/2015 19:29

Hi ladies.
I am ok thank you determind.
Trying sorry to see you are loosing hope I still feel positive for us all, sunny I hope you ovulate a week late so that will be 6 weeks and you can try or be on time and louise says that's fine?
I am day 19 still no ovulation medium or high on my monitor?
Dd unwell has awful chest had antibiotics and now on steroids and monitoring her oxygen sats esp at night as they are dipping considerably. Been told that if it happens tonight a and e so I have everything crossed that all will be well.
Other than my non ovulation month wondering if because first cycle post MC? Or if machine faulty? Either way doesn't matter as was not going to take pred this month anyway.
How is everyone doing? I agree it's mighty quiet in here at the moment.
X

Tryingno1 · 24/02/2015 20:07

Dildoos sorry to hear the little one is unwell :( I hope she picks up and ur not panicking too much :(. Bless her. must be frightening having a little one if they get poorly..cant imagine

Most women don't ovulate the first month post miscarriage so don't worry...u will next month.
I am hopeful overall,I just don't know how many years this saga will continue for...not sure how long I can take it for! But I never thought I would cope with another miscarriage...and I did at number 3...so just shows we do all just plod on!

dildoos · 24/02/2015 20:14

That we do I think this thread helps us all encourage each other along .
It is rather stressful kept waking to check her last night xx

Hula2 · 24/02/2015 20:21

Hi all,

Dildoos sorry to hear your daughter isn t well, must be really worrying, really hope u don t have to go to a and e. Think there s alot of nasty coughs about this year as have had a few friends having similar with their LOs.

Sunny hope 5weeks is close enough to get going this cycle.

Trying sounds like u should def be covering ov time. Don t think u need to worry about it being every other day unless dh sperm count is low which is prob unlikely being you ve alreaady concieved three times but at least you can be sure when he gets it checked. R u taking pred this cycle ?

Fingers crossed Determined for good blood results.

I ve just got back from our ski weekend and it was lovely. Good to just switch of from ttc pursuits and just chill out.

Tryingno1 · 24/02/2015 20:51

I love a good holiday hula. I feel like I need a long one to just forget it all...by all I mean stop counting tracking and living my life in 2 halves - before and after ovulation! Hope ur little one was ok with his mummy for the first time! No not taking the pred-I know I should but I don't want to! I'll test early and if its a bfp then I'll start taking it.

Dildoos hope she's better in the am! Xx

dildoos · 24/02/2015 21:14

Thank you lovelies!
Oxygen sats are at 94 at the moment any lower and I am off!
Hula good to see you had a nice break away. How was the snow? Other than white and fluffy Grin
We should all book a cruise ship together for this thread no one else and take a trip around the world in 80 days and see how many of us come back with a sticky bfp Grin I can dream anyway x

Tryingno1 · 24/02/2015 21:37

Haha! Great idea. Although our DP would come and would hate the amount us girls know about our sex life's etc!
Hope they stay at 94 and higher x

Smidge001 · 25/02/2015 07:52

Thanks for the well wishes and encouragement. Trip to the snow sounds great to take a mental break Hula. Hubby and I have come away for 3 days to a lovely house in the country and just taken it easy. Played board games, had some wine (the positive of a bfn!) and read books looking out at the hills. Been exactly what we needed.

My fertility doctor called at last today (been promising every day since the negative result on Friday). She thinks we still should be able to get pregnant and that it's just a numbers game. At my age she says 25% of blastocysts make it to a successful pregnancy and we've only had 3 attempts so far, so she is leaning towards our issue being the embryo quality rather than implantation (despite testing high in the biopsy Hmm). She recommends when we do our frozen embryo that I have another intralipid infusion, and take the Clexane after transfer, but reckons another scratch probably isn't worthwhile (yay, not much fun!) and up to me if I want to use the pred. Personally she thought not but is happy for me to go ahead if I want.

I think we're going to give it a break for a couple of months now to try to let my body get back into the swing of a natural cycle. My first after IVF is always a bit screwy.

I asked her about the bleeding and she is still unconcerned, given I've had the laparoscopy and she confirmed my progesterone levels were high throughout the tww. Possibly the Clexane is making me more prone to bleed plus the pessaries might be irritating my cervix. (I don't actually believe this as it feels just like my normal pre menstrual feelings, but it's always nice to be reassured)

Hope the little one's feeling a lot better in the morning dildoos.

Tryingno1 · 25/02/2015 15:27

Hey smidge glad to hear an update. Indulgent breaks are very much needed at times like this. I'm glad ur doctor was so positive. Good idea to take a break and then restart again when ur physically and emotionally ready. Enjoy the few months off and I truely hope u get a bfp and a sticky bfp next time!

sunnyday01 · 25/02/2015 19:49

I'm back in the game! Popped some letrazole today!

Hey dildoos how s you re little girl ? i hope she was ok last night and keep her sats up and also that you re ok, i know how worrying it can be.

Smidge good you ve been able to have some relaxing time with your dh and good to hear the doc was still optimistic about you getting preg. Interesting she wasn t saying to use pred again, you had high nk on biopsy didn t u ? Did she say why ? I guess maybe she thought intralipids were enough - i d be interested to know as i still feel a bit uneasy about using pred.

Yay sunny you re back in buisness ! Grin

Trying i don t blame u about the pred, i didn t bother taking it either with my riculously early ov, what bad patients we are !

Hi eveyone else.

Tryingno1 · 25/02/2015 20:59

Hey ladies,

Anyone used Humira ? My cytokines were right on borderline and are now slightly higher so really the best thing would be Humira. I m such a chicken when it comes to taking anything i don t know what to do. I really want to give ds a sibling but i also feel this extra responsibilty as his mummy not to put myself at risk!

Any advice ?

Tryingno1 · 26/02/2015 19:00

Hopefully rosa will come on and let u know! I wonder if she's ok she's not been on a while...

I'm also on touch with 2 other girls via messaging on here. They have both had it and had no problems at all.

It is hard core drugs, but I suppose they are only 2/3 random infusions so not as likely to cause any long term side effects....and if u got an allergic reaction etc like rosa it would be dealt with then and there...

Hopefully someone with 1st hand exp will come along soon! Did u see mr s today?

Dildoos hope ur little girl is ok.

Hula2 · 26/02/2015 22:27

Thanks trying, maybe a i ll pm Rosa. Did u know if it was a bad allergic reaction ?

mackoo0524 · 26/02/2015 22:30

Hey Hula! I was on the previous thread but haven't posted for a while. I've had two Humira shots as part of my treatment with Dr S, so I thought I 'd share my experience with you. Being the wimp that i am, i had the shot administered by a nurse, something i would really recommend. Was very worried about the pain but it was actually much less painful than I expected - i felt a burning sensation for approximately 3 seconds but that was it! In terms of side effects, i felt a but more run down than usual after each shot for a good few days (could be placebo, who knows) but was fine otherwise. Having a blood test on Monday to see if it's brought my TNF levels down. In short, please be assured that it's not as scary as it might seem!! :))

Hula2 · 26/02/2015 22:33

Thanks mackoo, good to hear your experience and would be interested to hear how you get on with the results. What was your orginal level ? (If u don t mind me asking)

mackoo0524 · 26/02/2015 22:36

Not at all. i think it was 32! (If I remember it correctly, the upper limit of the normal range is 30) what's yours?

Hula2 · 26/02/2015 22:44

31.6 on original bloods and as 0.6 over range decided to just go with pred, first try of pred screwed my cycle, retested cytokines last week and altho haven t got the number its apparently slightly higher so thinking i should man up and do humira ? Did u have high nk too ? Sorry can t remember your story that got you here.
