purdey I think you should volunteer to have a new tube 3d printed. If they can 3d print a new heart, they can 3d print a tube damnit. It'll be rad! Grin A bfp by 3d. Catchy yes?

PurdeyBirdie · 06/02/2015 20:24

Ugh. There's no way of knowing from month to month which side releases the egg. It is a myth that the ovaries alternate each month and my consultant told me it is entirely random which side spits out the ova, so for example it can go: left, left, left, right, left, right, right, right, right etc. A scan on any one cycle can only give you a snapshot of that one month.

One thing's for sure: every time I have been for a scan of my ovaries at the start of a Clomid cycle it is my left ovary that sees all the action...and it is my left tube that is blocked Sad

All I can do is ensure there is lots of sperm in situ for that golden month when my right hand side lobs an egg out...

PurdeyBirdie · 06/02/2015 20:26

Austral, I haven't got the slightest clue what the devil you are on about..but I'm up fer owt, cock!

P.s..are you really a feminist?

mummyofonesofar · 06/02/2015 20:29

BFP by 3D, I like it!

CookieDough9 · 06/02/2015 20:30

Sparkly I was surprised how common it was yet I didn't even know anything about it until I after my lap. It would have saved years of misery if Dr's took this seriously rather than brushing it off as "just period troubles".
I'm hoping it just goes away never to return.
CD18 and I keep getting the feeling that this won't be my month

PurdeyBirdie · 06/02/2015 20:39

Pah! Not much wittering OR inanity...I'm watching Game of Discharge.

mummyofonesofar · 06/02/2015 20:39

Purdey for you!

I found when I was having transvaginal scans for my IUI that the lead follicle would sometimes chnagew midway through the first two weeks so I never really knew which side was releasing the egg.

Have exercised, had a showed and am now getting settled when dear charge asks me if it's morning yet...! And I want children?!

Sparkly123 · 06/02/2015 21:01

Oh Purdey Sad want something to cheer you up?!..there I am lying down bum propped up by pillow.. Husband does a belter of a sample!... Preseed in, Catheter goes in without a hitch for a change.. Dh leans over, starts to push the plunger....syringe falls off the cathetar(already inside me) and the WHOLE sample ends up on the pillow..Shock therefore his efforts of producing said sample whilst eating a chicken pie with one hand and watching the rugby... Are all for nothing!! You have to laugh.. Or you would cry! So that's me done this month. I'm in the TWW... there are a no samplers left!!

Sparkly123 · 06/02/2015 21:03

Austral 3d printing is a right good plan!! Yes!

mummyofonesofar · 06/02/2015 21:08

Oh no sparkly! What a shame and a waste. I know it was a just incase go but fx you ov'd a couple days ago so no chances lost. Well done though to your DH, eating, watching rugby and ahem.. Preparing your sample!

PurdeyBirdie · 06/02/2015 21:10

Oh, Mummy! I love it! Grin

Juney, thanks for that (I think). I wish I could just know, you know?

Sparkly!, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...!!! Oh stupid, stupid calamitous catheter! Was the pie to blame? Was your hubby really polishing his rocket with one hand whilst holding a pie aloft in t'other? That is hilairballs! Grin Are you very upset? Sad

juneybean · 06/02/2015 21:12

What a multitasker!

Sparkly123 · 06/02/2015 21:16

Ha ha thanks girls! I'm surprisingly ok about it! I find it kinda hilarious actually as it's just topped off this week! But I'm just gonna hope that we didn't need to do it tonight... Hopefully Confused
I blame the pie!!!! Well, that's how he says it happened- rugby-pie-sample... I'm sure it was a rather different affair in reality! Ha ha. He's more upset than I am I think! Shame for him since he put so much effort in! It obviously wasn't meant to be eh! Wink

Purdey I wish you could just know too... Flowers

PurdeyBirdie · 06/02/2015 21:18

What flavour were t'pie?

Lillygolightly · 06/02/2015 21:19

Thanks Sparkly that sounds encouraging! I will try to keep myself optimistic because I suppose you never know! One of the things I like about temping is that perhaps I might have some indication before POAS time!

Right off to work ladies. I'm sure I'll have more catching up to do by the time I get back here tomorrow.

Purdey if I were a clever scientist I would invent something that would help you know. Sadly I'm not that clever Hmm

GlitteryLipgloss1 · 06/02/2015 21:22

MrsGingerbread · 06/02/2015 21:35

sparkly so sorry about your disaster. How important is a catheter for ai? We sometimes use a syringe but I've never used a catheter.

I get a swollen lymph node in my groin on one side or the other around ov and that is a good indicator of which ovary has done the business. Does anyone else get this?

juneybean · 06/02/2015 21:37

I used to when I was in my teens but haven't felt it as an adult (but am considerably fatter than I was as a teen!)

Sparkly123 · 06/02/2015 21:41

MrsGinger I don't think it's massively important no. Most people use syringes I think? I just used them as The fertility clinic gave us the kit and also Because I think it gets in slightly deeper?! Yes tonight was a disaster but never had that issue before!

Mmm interesting info re lymph glands!

victoria401 · 06/02/2015 21:41

Omg ginger, a swollen node on your ov side? Crazy!

Have sore boobs, a sign I ovd at some point right?

GlitteryLipgloss1 · 06/02/2015 21:50

Oh fuck. Just checked my ovia and my average luteal phase is 9 days.

Sad This is worrying me. Do I need to see my doctor?

Sparkly123 · 06/02/2015 21:52

Oooft Big Brother!
