Bearsinmotion · 06/04/2015 10:21

Cupcake, I think your bump gets bigger quicker in your second pregnancy that was my excuse but it all evens out towards the end! Tori you look tiny though, that looks like me at about 20 weeks!

Hope you've all had a good Easter Easter Smile

lillamyy1 · 06/04/2015 12:31

DP is still in bed the lazy bugger!! Going to try to wake him up now and drag him out into the sunshine Easter Grin
Think I might be having some braxton hicks but hard to tell - tummy tight on the outside and kind of uncomfortable like it's too full?? Easter Hmm

lillamyy1 · 06/04/2015 12:38

Here's my enormous bump today. I'm wearing my summer dress as a maternity top - usually it comes halfway down my thighs Easter Shock

Lil that is an impressive bump! Grin
Sounds like you were having bh to me, your bump goes hard and feels stretched

Tori I haven't been to ante natal classes, always wondered what goes on there, let me know Smile

Siarie · 06/04/2015 17:26

Today is a better day, been bouncing on my ball, I'm officially full term, managed to get a wax in time for any induction that gets proposed and now Ive got contractions and pressure down there. So if nothing else maybe I can get this one out before needing the induction.

I'm sure she will come when she's ready or when my body gets too toxic to stay

lillamyy1 · 06/04/2015 18:29

Ooh, I hope that little girly makes an appearance of her own accord soon Siarie!
It's been such a gorgeous day! We went to the park and it was lovely, like summer. While we were there we saw a woman with her husband and toddler in a pushchair and I said "she's going to be sick!" And the poor woman went and sat on a bench in a corner and threw up on the ground! She must have been pg and had morning sickness, I really felt for her. Luckily no one else was around and we pretended not to notice Grin
Hope your antenatal class is good Tori. The first one we went to at the hospital was really rubbish and we didn't bother going to the rest! But then I went to some others at my gp and they were great!

Sorted my maternity clothes today for a trip to the charity shop. Am a bit :( now to think I will never be pregnant again! And a bit relieved! Am also trying to find an outfit suitable for a wedding at the end of April that is also ok to breastfeed in, so basically not a dress - if anyone has any thoughts do let me know!

Have just fed DSL, must try and catch some sleep now before either DC wake up!

Hope we have some news soon Siarie Easter Smile

Ducky23 · 07/04/2015 07:11

Ooohhh exciting siarie!!! Grin

Bears are you sure that's definitely it? Grin My friend said she would NEVER have another after having two, she accidentally got pregnant and had a third not long ago... Her DH has since been for the snip Grin

Bearsinmotion · 07/04/2015 07:20

Oh yes Ducky, to the point where DP has suggested getting the snip himself! Two is more than enough for me!

Cupcake92 · 07/04/2015 08:04

Hey! I was exhausted yesterday! Went to Sudbury hall and did the Easter trail and had some lunch and let the kids play :) then I went to see my nan and grandad and thennnn went to the pub as they had a bouncy castle and then had some dinner Grin omg I was so tired! My back ached so bad! I knew having 2 children would be hard but being pregnant and having a toddler is rele hard :( hope I'll be okay when baby is here.

Lill that's one huge bumb!! Tell baby to hurry up and get out lol!

Good luck Siarie!! :) let us know how u are. Fx baby is wanting to make an appearance !

Tori how do u arrange the antenatal classes? Is it through the midwife?

And Bears Ducky as for more children I keep saying 2 is perfect for me but then I keep thinking if I meet someone and they have no children they may want one and then I may want one with them Grin so o reckon I'll end up having a 3rd. Not anytime soon after this one tho!! A good 5/6 years maybe! Grin

My scan is 2 weeks today!!!! Yay!!!
I'm 12 weeks a week on Friday too! :D woohoo!!!

Ducky23 · 07/04/2015 08:11

Haha bears that's brave of him! Grin

Sounds like you had a nice day cupcake Grin

Is like at least 2 (living) children but I'm in a bit of a rut ATM. H has days where he is lovely and days where he is awful, but if I had children with anyone else them and ds would have different surnames and I wouldn't want ds to be left out Confused can't beleive I even just said that

lillamyy1 · 07/04/2015 12:15

You could always change DS's surname Ducky if you ended up getting divorced and married someone else. If you were to ever separate from H you might decide to give DS your maiden name anyway - let's face it, you've done all the work Grin
Sounds like a nice day Cupcake, even if it was tiring! I imagine it's harder being in the 1st trimester and looking after a toddler than looking after a newborn and a little boy. By the time your new baby is here you'll probably be able to ask DS to help you a little bit, eg fetch a nappy at changing time etc Grin
I hope baby's on her way Siarie!
And glad your class was useful Tori Smile
I've just been on the phone to the midwives at the surgery (the hospital don't do appointments unless it's high risk) but they're fully booked this week. One of them is going to call me tomorrow though and the person I spoke to (like specialist midwife receptionist I think) said she's pretty sure they're doing sweeps at term now so I've got my fingers crossed that they'll try to see me and try and do a sweep on Friday when I'll be 40 wks. But I've got a horrible feeling this baby will just refuse to engage by then - he's stubborn like his dad Hmm
I forgot to mention to them in the phone that my feet were MASSIVE last night and if I should be worried? I haven't got any other signs of pre eclampsia so think it's just serious water retention but thought if I had mentioned it maybe they'd see me sooner! I might call back.

lillamyy1 · 07/04/2015 12:19

Bears, how about something like this for the wedding? www.seraphine.com/blue-asymmetric-sheer-flutter-sleeve-nursing-top.html
Maybe with some smart linen trousers and strappy shoes?

Ducky23 · 07/04/2015 12:23

You can't change the surname without permission from the father afaik lil Hmm yesss ring back! If that fails maybe call your triage (as i think you should get the swelling checked out) and maybe quietly have a word with a midwife there about you not being happy and wanting to see someone else, they may be able to suggest something Wink

lillamyy1 · 07/04/2015 12:45

Oh really? I didn't know that!
I don't know what the triage is - would it be through my surgery?

Ducky23 · 07/04/2015 13:04

The maternity assessment unit, it's at the hospital, there should be a number on the front of your notes Smile they're there for things like your swelling and will check it out for you Smile

Cupcake92 · 07/04/2015 14:10

I have that problem Ducky. :s but then again I had a different name from my mom and brother and I kinda liked that Grin

Lill yeah they would want to check out any swelling so deffo give the mau a call :) they may be able to give u more info there.

lillamyy1 · 07/04/2015 16:29

On my way to the hospital! They told me to come in at 5 but I spent ages messing around before I left the house so going to be a bit late Confused
I don't think there's anything wrong with me or the baby but at least I'll get a chance to ask some questions.
I've had a couple of big cramps though today... Hmm once when I stood up out of the armchair on the right hand side and then again an hour or so later on the left hand side when I was hoovering Hmm It felt like a bad stitch though, not like period pains which I've heard contractions feel like so I dont think it's anything exciting Hmm

Ducky23 · 07/04/2015 17:13

At least it will put your mind at rest lil Smile that pain could be round ligament pain? I used to get it all the time with ds when I moved to quickly/stood up/sat down/ moved in bed! Grin Contractions are more like period pains that come and go and slowly get stronger.

Let us know how it goes Smile

That's strange Tori! Have you got any swelling that could be a sign of water retention? I need to go every half hour and have done since I first got pg Grin
So both me and baby were fine but they want me to go back tomorrow morning for a scan because it's the second time I've been in with reduced movements. They also said that baby's head is right down now and that they'll probably do a sweep tomorrow!! Shock And if the sweep doesn't work they'll see about booking me in for induction. I don't quite understand why since baby is fine, but she just said it's because I'm so close to 40wks and because I've been in twice with reduced movements. So maybe I'll be meeting my baby this week! Shock Grin
