Thought id start a new thread girls before the old one gets maxed out! :) let this be the thread where we all get out BFP's and babies!! :)

No it's Wednesday 1st lulu. So not long now.

I'm so so so cold! Plumber isn't able to fix the boiler till tomorrow so yet again I'm with out heating and hot water :( bloody hate that boiler!

Oh cupcake that's rubbish! Bloody boiler! Do you know why it keeps breaking? I know you've probably checked but could it be something simple like the pilot light? Weird for a newish boiler to keep breaking.

I've had a look at that video lulu, going to try it once this little man is here.

I am soooo over being pregnant now! I'm measuring big again and I'm so heavy just going to the shop which is literally across the road made me so tired this afternoon that I had to go to bed for two hours!!
I know it's only 2 and a half weeks but it seems aaaaages until he's due. I've got some raspberry leaf tea and I'm half tempted to have several cups a day to try and 'encourage' him out but I know it would be really bad to try to force him out before he's ready

Apparently it's the board that's gone kerput :s cuz it's not turning on its dead lol. So he's replacing it. Said it's an easy job but the board costs £180.

Ohh Lill I can remember feeling like that with DS! Eugh those last couple of weeks are hell! That's when I started very slow labour so I tried every I could to jump start it but bothing worked at all :/ where did u get the raspberry leaf tea from? I couldn't find any when pg with DS. I'd say give it go :) baby is all ready and nice cooked so won't harm trying.

I need to go have my bloods done today as midwife last week couldn't find a vein haha! So here's hoping they find one today! :)

Just got the tea from my local health food shop. I'll have two cups today and tomorrow and then maybe three a day from Friday when I'll be 38wks I mean, it's not going to force him out is it? Just give him a bit of encouragement! I'm measuring at 38wks already anyway so he's probably quite a big boy already

Haha thanks Lill ! And no it won't force him out, it's if ur body is already ready for labour it just kick starts it :) so if ur body isn't ready the tea won't really do anything so it's a matter of drinking it and finding out
Oo I'll have to have a look later down the line for me :p I'd be drinking mine from 37 weeks. Oh and pineapple! I swear that made me go into early labour I ate a whole fresh pineapple that day! Lol!

So tired today, slept terribly last night as my BH now have bad cramping accommodating them. I'm getting really impatient now, these sharp zaps to my cervix are argh. I need to pee all the time, whereas before I didn't it's literally come on since yesterday.

All night BH with basically period style cramping, you can't sleep so I a tried to catch up this morning.

I am not loving this uncertainty, sounds like we are both getting the same kind of experience at the moment lil.

Glad it's an easy fix for your boiler cupcake but annoying about the price tag.

I ordered the cotbed yesterday, I don't know if I said but the company discontinued the colour I wanted. But I contacted them directly to ask if they had any stock left, they did but couldn't give me a discount until the items went to outlet. They wanted to try and sell full price until then, so I took a gamble and waited. Yesterday the cotbed went to outlet and i managed to get it for £599 instead of £880.

Bargain! They still sell the cotbed in other colours so I'm pleased with that.

Siarie I'm pretty sure ur in slow labour now. And by the sounds of it baby has dropped dramatically. I think u will be givi birth In a few days!

Oh and brilliant bargain on the cot bed!!

Talking of herbal teas, I just went to my local health food shop to buy some 'throat soothe' tea and they wouldn't sell it to me because it contains licourice!! Argh so frustrating, I've had this sore throat for over a week now

Lil I didn't know you couldn't have that when pg?!? I haven't seen it on any of the food to avoid lists! I ate some while pg woops!

No I wasn't sure if I believed them but checked online and an American site says you can't have it in teas (I think to eat is ok because there's not as much??) but it wasn't on the nhs website so I'm not sure. Surely this late on it wouldn't do anything anyway??

I wouldn't have thought so. I can't see it doing any harm maybe it's just an American thing, surely they would put it on the nhs one if not.

Right I need some advice from someone that has done this before, or has any idea! this might sound like a stupid question! Ds routine so far goes a bit like this at night... He has a bath and his pjs on at around 7.30, he will then go on his bean bag and we dim the lights, some nights he will fall asleep then until 4 am when he has his feed then sleep until 7 am, some nights he will stay awake. He then gets squished into goes in his Moses basket at 10 and we go upstairs to bed between 10/11ish.

When do I move his bed time earlier? Surely I can't let him stay up until 10 forever he will be 16 weeks on Monday so thinking he will have to go to bed earlier soon. And do I put him in his bed to sleep even if he's awake?

Got a bit of a problem coming up, he just about fits in his Moses basket but I would have to dismantle his cot, move it to our room then dismantle it and move it back to his room and put it back together which is a mission so don't really want to do that might have to buy a travel cot or something until he goes in his own room

Ducky it takes an awful long time to get babies to go sleep earlier trust me!! The earliest I've got DS is 8pm and he only started to do that when he turned 1!
DS was always at 9/10pm as a baby after his last feed. We had to have his cot up in our room as the hv told us to as he was too big for his Moses basket by about 12 weeks old. I always went upstairs to bed at 8pm with DS and watched tv quietly with DS lying next to me then be had his last feed at 9pm and I then placed him In his cot awake but drowsy and it helped him to learn to fall asleep by himself. It helped him going in his cot as he suddenly slept through the night from about 9pm till 8am the next day. :)

Oo Lill thats rele strange about the liquorice!

I'm very pissed off with exH tonight!!! He goes to me "u have to make and effort with my family u know because of DS"
So i said to him "whys that? Surely they need to also put effort in with me too?" And apparently he said no it's just me that has to put more effort in as they want to see Jayden so why can't I pop round with him once a week. I laughed at him and said "ur family hasnt seen DS in nearly 3 months! If they rele wanted to see their grandchild then they would make an effort to come here to see him. It's not up to me to take DS to them as i have a life also and work and then spend time with him so unless they asked me personally then no I wouldn't just take him. But if they were that bothered they would have come here and not ignored him for nearly 3 months!" It's made me so angry!!! . It's like they forgot about him for 3 months then suddenly remembered him and basically saying it's my fault for not putting effort in with them! Ha! Idiots!!

Ooh cupcake that would make me so so so so angry H's family are like that! They had nothing to do with me when I was pregnant with dd, they had nothing to do with us after, ony H's mom came to the funeral and acted like she was doing us a favor by being there and her time was so precious. When I had ds they were all interested, they're a very snobby family and were on about how 'he will be carrying their name on' and his mom always demands that we drive an hour to her house every other week cus she wants to see him, she's rich so can afford the petrol but has been to our house twice! We've lived here over 3 years!

oh ducky that's makes my blood boil! Sound so stuck up! Hate people like that! And that sounds exactly like exH's family to a tee. Only care about their side of the family as they are the greatest family on earth and their name is like royalty! God it annoys me!

ExH's family have never visited us Ducky... They did once when we moved in together to check that the place was suitable for exH

I don't know what is wrong with these people! We have to go see mil Sunday

But she always makes nasty comments at me, I think ds is already picking up on it because he is happy to be passed around everyone but screams when she goes near him!

Sounds mean but I like it when DS won't go to them n clings to me. N I get annoyed when they tell him off. I'm the one to do that if I think he's being naughty, not them. N when they do I just tell them "no He's fine doing that, I have a disapline routine so it's best I stick to that" lol

I'm in agony with my back tonight! My lower back is painful. I had this with DS exactly around this time an all!

Well exH has just come home from work and knocked on my bedroom door. Comes in covered in blood because some kids punched him in the face whilst walking home. Won't contact police tho!

Terribly Tori, I'm still here and still pregnant. Didn't sleep hardly at all last night due to itching and contractions.

Even now I'm still having regular tightenings but at night I have cramps with them. Seems to be worse in the evenings and closer together, but at this rate I'm going to be exhausted when the time comes!

I'm just having lunch out then im going to the pharmacy to hopefully get something for the itching.

Oh no siarie fwiw I thought if you had a labor like this when the time comes it will go quickly, may be an old wives take though.

Oh no Siarie! I hope the itching stops and the contractions either turn into proper labour or go away for you

Cupcake, if he wouldn't call the police do you think its maybe because he got into a fight but didn't want to tell you?? It's weird not to call the police if he was attacked for no reason Also, I'd be furious with him for what he said about taking DS to see his family too!
Ducky, sorry to hear you've got to see the dreaded MIL, she sounds like a nightmare! Have you an your D?H been getting on better recently?

We've been ok tbh lil the other day he got in from work and started shouting at me because I had to go to a meeting at work about redundancy and he had a parcel being delivered that I missed, he didn't tell me it was coming we didn't speak for the rest of the night then he text me with an apology!!! I should of screen shot it!

He shouted at you?! At least he apologised, but he shouldn't have shouted at you in the first place!!
