Is been a hectic day today. And DS has been a pain to get to bed :( I'm exhausted! Can't wait to sleep lol!

Ducky he's been surprisingly alright and quite good about the baby tbh. ! :O

Hope everyone is okay :) night all Flowers

Right I was induced with DS at 40 weeks due to reduced movements but only dilated to 4cm as he was back to back and too big.
If I don't go into labour by myself this time, would they consider inducing me again if baby is in the right position before jumping straight to the csection? I know I'm only 8 weeks but I so can't face another csection lol Grin

But also.... I'm 8 weeks pregnant today!! Grin the closer I get to 12 weeks the better :) this is the furthest I've been knowing the baby is healthy. Only 4 weeks to go till I'm hitting the 2nd trimester! Yay!

Ducky23 · 20/03/2015 07:19

Ds was back to back too cupcake Confused I think if I have another I will go for section over induction Confused

How are you feeling?

Cupcake92 · 20/03/2015 08:59

They had told me that if he was the right way round I would have been able to deliver him. I'd never choose a section only because I still remember the pain n not being able to care for DS as I wanted to because I was in agony. lol I begged doctors to let me take liquid morphine home haha Grin obv they never let me but I still thought it was worth the try Grin they should let u have that stuff in labour it's amazing!
N I'm feel okay thanks Ducky. Just today I have no energy at all and my body aches. Feels like I've ran a marathon instead of going to sleep last night Confused

OP posts:
Ducky23 · 20/03/2015 09:18

I really wouldn't want a c sec so would hope I would go in labor myself before 39 weeks, just because of the recovery but I don't think I could have induction again, because it was so medicalised which made me panic Confused

Well it looks like AF is stopping. It's mad, it suddenly came super heavy with no warning, now it looks like it's just stopped! I worked it out to be about 27 days since I had that one day of bleeding so I hope my cycle will sort itself out now.

When did you wean ds cupcake? And what did you do? I'm so excited for ds to eat solids but I'm scared too, you hear all this about them choking Confused

Cupcake92 · 20/03/2015 09:37

Yeah that's true Ducky, induction ur just pumped with meds. That's good AF is stopping! :) I bet it'll be nice to have normal cycles too :)
Umm I weaned him super early only because he wouldn't sleep and was already on hungry milk and it wasn't filling him up. I gave him a small pot sized portion of baby rice before his nighttime feed when he was only 4 and a bit months old. I mean it worked and suddenly he slept so so so well! But I wish I had waited till 6 months as it was hard work weaning

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 20/03/2015 09:38

U know if they are able to wean if u put some pureèd food in their month on a spoon and they don't push it out with their tongue! If they do push it out with their tongue they aren't ready yet :)

OP posts:
Ducky23 · 20/03/2015 10:06

I've heard a lot about weaning at 4 months, it sounds like a lot of people do it. I'm going to try and get to as close to 6 months as possible though. I think he would take stuff off a spoon, he has his medicine off a spoon now when he's been ill/had a temp and he takes it well. We hVe to see a dietitian before weaning though due to his allergies so will see what they say there Smile it's so exciting! I got him a high chair, little bowls and spoons and sippy cups and a fancy tt bib Smile

When you weaned him was he allowed a sippy cup? Ds gets so frustrated when I feed him tht he can't hold something so I brought him some handles for his bottles, they're still a bit heavy though so I hold the bottom. I went and got him a sippy cup the other day that says 4m+ so i don't know whether it would be ok to give him some milk in that.

He's 15 weeks on Monday Smile

lillamyy1 · 20/03/2015 11:32

So happy for you getting so far with your pg Cupcake Grin I don't know anything about it but I can't see any reason they wouldn't let you try for a normal birth if baby's the right way round.
I'm pretty suspicious that this baby is back to back... He's always poking his hands/feet/elbows/knees out and making big lumps on my belly! I read you can't really feel or see that if the baby's back to front. Also he still hasn't descended and I'm 37 weeks today Confused I really hope he gets into the right position first because I reeeeeally don't want a section!!

Ducky23 · 20/03/2015 11:46

I have no idea when they go down lil Confused has the midwife mentioned it? Like can they go at the last min? I know dd dropped just before the birth but I don't know whether it's just because of the circumstances that happened or it can happen normally. It didn't feel very nice, it felt like all my insides just fell down all at once Confused hope baby starts wiggling down for you!

lillamyy1 · 20/03/2015 12:00

Midwife said they usually start dropping down at 36 weeks but I think first babies can wait until the last minute. But I think they have to have dropped before labour starts otherwise the labour can be really long and painful and you might need intervention Hmm

Siarie · 20/03/2015 16:08

I've had a right faff of a day. I've been itching a lot over the last few weeks and last night it was terrible, it woke me up and I was itching constantly all over. The palms of my hands started itching too so I thought right I'm going to have to call the midwife again and ask what to do.

They said go to the hospital so they can do a blood test to check for OC. So off I went and I saw a really nice student midwife (who knew her stuff actually). Did the usual BP checks, urine checks (which they found traces in so its been sent off) and also they said it came back as a bit dehydrated. Also I was put on a monitor so they could check the foetal HB and any contractions, while on there though I felt funny so turned on my left side - no problem felt a lot better then.

But then she had to take blood and got one vial from one arm but couldn't get a good vein on the other or any arm. I started to feel faint so told her immediately and said I need to turn onto my left side more. I also asked her for a sick bowl and she ran off and got me one. I was sick and loads of water came out which is why I was confused about the dehydration since I had been drinking lots that morning.

Anyway they sent me off to go eat then come back to see if she could take blood after that otherwise I'd need to go on a IV drip. Got back and my BP was a lot better, she had to take blood from my hand though (ouch).

So now I have to wait and see what the bloods come back as tomorrow. But on top of all that, I got home and really needed the toilet. While I was there I felt a massive gush, convinced the baby had fallen out into the toilet haha. I now am sat waiting to see what the hell it was. Just got a pad on, I couldn't tell in the toilet - worse, place, ever to feel something come out from that area.

I really hope it wasn't anything important because were picking up the car 100 miles away tomorrow, we have a hotel booked and everything. Gah! I've started getting BH's now too in close proximity, so I'm timing them.

Ducky23 · 20/03/2015 16:36

Oh no siarie Confused how awful for you! When will your results come back? I don't know if it's the same but in my experience if it's anything to worry about they get back to you within 3 hours, may be different where you are though.

Has anything more come out? Fwiw, when I was about 34/35 weeks I convinced myself my waters had gone while out shopping, luckily I had a long coat on and carried on getting what I needed, it wasn't my waters. I don't know whether it was wee or not but I stuck a pad on for a few hours and nothing more Confused when I had my waters broken, every time you stand up it feels like your wetting yourself but I think you should go get checked again anyway. Any loss of fluid like that should be checked out just incase. If it is your waters I believe they need to induce you within 24 hours

Cupcake92 · 20/03/2015 16:42

Siarie rele important here but could it have been ur waters??? Because waters don't always come out all at once and can gradually come out. If ur pad is damp or like u say ur BH are regular please go back n get checked and mention the gush as they will check to see if it was ur waters. I rele rele wouldn't go 100miles away at this point just incase Siarie.

Ducky I have DS a sippy cup of cooked down boiled water. But he never used his sippy cup properly till he was about 10 months old as he like juice and water in his bottle.

Lill I hope baby descends ! Need these babies to hurry up :)

lillamyy1 · 20/03/2015 18:42

Oh god Siarie, what a horrible day for you!! You really must go and get them to check if it was your waters. I wouldn't go anywhere either was tomorrow if I were you because of your other symptoms. The baby is much more important than the car!
I had a bit of a rubbish day too (although not as bad as yours!) DP was being really grumpy and horrible and we ended up having an argument that really could have just been a calm discussion. He apologised in the end, but he's so bloody stubborn he took ages to admit it was his fault (it totally was as well, I was trying to be nice and calm). The exact same thing happened yesterday and I was really upset all day. He's doing my head in at the moment. He really unhappy in his new job because he's earning so much less than he was in Bristol and he's not very happy here so he's taking it out on me Sad

Omg my spelling and typing was awful in that last comment!! I was meant to say "I gave DS a sippy cup of cooled down boiled water" lol

Oh Lill that's rubbish :( an argument is deffo not what u need when ur heavily pregnant! And the fact he's taking his job out on u isn't nice at all :( I think most men are very stubborn now a days.

I think my stomach is stretching tonight !! Confused as weird as that sounds lol. I have this weird pulling feeling like someone is pulling it tight. Oh gosh I hope i don't grow anymore! I need to fit into my bridesmaid dress!
I think this baby is going to end up being huge at the end of it all Grin

I think I had that cupcake. Have you got any inkling as to whether it's a boy or a girl?

Siarie · 20/03/2015 19:09

So it doesn't seem like anything else has come out, which is why I'm thinking maybe it was my plug? The BH seem to have spaced out although I'm still getting them.

Just going to keep an eye on it, providing nothing else comes out I'm going to take my hospital bag with me on the trip. I know the local hospital as it's where all my family live so it won't be too difficult to pop into their unit tomorrow if need be.

Just a bit of a shock, i'll keep you all updated (Although MN seems to be really slow for me this evening).

I'm more worried about the itching!

Cupcake92 · 20/03/2015 21:16

Lill I keep having dreams that its a girl as that's how I've always seen it. Have a boy and a girl. But it could very easily be a boy! I would still be happy if it was a boy as I'd be so grateful just to have my healthy baby :) but apart of me really wishes it's a girl! I'm so desperate to buy pretty pink things and dresses and cute little shoes etc. I'll find out in May what I'm having at a 16 week scan :) exciting stuff!!

Oh good Siarie ! Glad things seem to be okay I was a little worried for u! Might be a sign tho that labour isn't far away :) u could be meeting ur baby very soon!

DS had me up all night so I'm exhausted already and it means he's going to be a nightmare all day :(
Wish me luck everyone!

Just checking in, you might be tight cupcake because since Friday ive had loads of BH's with proper timings. I had BH every ten mins Friday evening then BH starting every 15 mins at 3am, they slowly got closer and strong to every 7 mins then stopped after two hours.

Then Saturday morning while driving BH every ten mins for two hours, Saturday evening BH every ten minutes to seven minutes but they died of when I went to bed.

Who knows what today will bring, I had loads of CM yesterday too. Not sure why that is, I mean it's increased since being pregnant but seemed more yesterday.

I'll be 35 weeks tomorrow, crazy how time is flying by. Oh on the plus side my bloods came back ok, so even though I'm crazy itchy that's one less worry and I still have my desired birth at the birth centre.

Siarie · 22/03/2015 07:20

Oh and good luck! Being tired sucks, I actually got sleep last night whereas the night before BH and before that I was up itching.

Ducky23 · 22/03/2015 07:46

Good luck cupcake! Hope you can squeeze into your dress!

Siarie I think you should get checked out Confused have you lost any more fluid?

Cupcake92 · 22/03/2015 09:25

Bless u Siarie! Hope u get an answer to what's going on with all these BH!

And Ducky it ain't a great start. I'm here now but no idea where I'm supposed to go. Was meant to meet her in the car park as I have her wedding dress! But apparently she's already in there and I've no clue where lol!
