Thought id start a new thread girls before the old one gets maxed out! :) let this be the thread where we all get out BFP's and babies!! :)

Well I'm annoyed! And embarrassed! Had a call from the scan people and they had given me the wrong pictures!!! They were the woman before me pictures. Apparently she had printed 2 copies of them but only gave the woman 1 copy of each. And then gave me her 2nd copy of them! So I've been carrying someone else's scan pics around with me!! I'm so annoyed at that!! So I've had to go collect mine and I can't even tell my baby is a baby lol!! Can't believe that. Surely they should have been able to know that wasn't my scan pictures! I have been given 20% off a future scan as an apology. not happy tho!

There's the prawn I was expecting, honestly it's embarrassing for them not you Cupcake. But I did think when I saw it that you must have your dates wrong, but I didn't want to say because well it might stress you out lol!

I thought the baby was crazy developed for 7 weeks! i agree with siarie, embarrassing for them not you! I would have raged for a free scan cupcake!

Lol I thought they must have amazing technology! Haha! I told them I was not happy at all and very disappointed as I had shown some family members the pictures. Yes ur right tho Ducky I should have a FREE scan! I might send an email of complaint :)

I'm feeling very sorry for myself ATM, this AF is hideous I even took paracetamol which I NEVER do. Now I'm tucked up in bed

The first AF is rumoured to be terrible isn't it? I used to get terrible pains before my pill stopped everything. Nothing a nurofen couldn't fix though, one of those liquid ones which are fast acting.

Those beautiful pills stop the worst cramps in their tracks. I've missed them a lot since being pregnant as they work well for any muscle type pain.

It's awful I'm starting to get a bit worried. I think I'm going to have to get some more maternity pads

I was on the pull previously which I think is what messed my cycle up so bad as I used to go months with taking them back to back so I didn't have AF, I think il have to go back on them for a few months if it doesn't sort itself out again

Which ones were you on siarie?

And Ducky poor u!! AF is awful normally but the fact uve taken a paracetamol for the pain sounds likes its really bad! :(

What pill were u on Ducky? I was on cerazette for years ! But it's a mini pill as I have a risk of blood clots. But I conceived DS on that lol!! Then the midwife told me that the mini pill isn't as effective as a combined pill :s I've no idea what contraception to have after this baby. The implant was just awful so not having that again.

Siarie I wish I could take that tablet but I can't take ibuprofen cuz of my asthma :( I take panadol dissolvable ones they are so so amazing !

I was on Cerazette, it took a few months but my AF stopped for years. Had no idea how long it would be when I came off but AF came back in a month and I got my BFP cycle two. I could see I started ovulating again straight away as I was temping.

I suppose the downsides were my skin and it does play with your hormones. But like anything you settle into it. Even now with pregnancy my skin has settled and it's actually better than its been since I was a teenager.

Cross posted cupcake, Cerazette is very effective if taken correctly. 3/100 might get pregnant a year but the combined pill is 3/1000. However that's if both pills are taken perfectly.

I don't fancy an implant or a shot, I want to be able to remove whatever I have myself. I imagine I'll go back on cerazette after pregnancy.

I was on microgynon, then cilest. I didn't want the implant or coil or anything like that but I am useless with tablets.

Cupcake, how annoying for you! Definitely make a formal complaint - thats a stupid error on their part!
Oh dear Ducky, I hope AF calms down soon I'm not looking forward to my first AF after this babba - I never, ever wear pads, always use tampons, so 6 weeks of pads for after birth bleeding and then for first AF = Not fun.
Your bump's coming along nicely, Siarie! I'm trying to work out if mine was that size when I was at your stage. I'll post one of my enormous bump in a minute. I'm full term on Friday!
I don't know what to do about contraception either. I'm completely intolerant to anything hormonal (as in, I get really paranoid then suicidal!) Will probably have to be the copper coil but it's not as effective as I'd like. May try that with a spermicidal sponge?? Hate condoms.

I thought that lil, last time I was on the pill I felt really down but wouldn't want the implant or coil (or cool as my phone wants to call it)

lil lovely picture! It seems to be getting bigger each week. Like noticeably bigger. My bump is measuring on target apparently, I have my antenatal appointments on the week end so exactly 34 weeks and last time I measured 34cm.

It's been like that since my first measurement. I'm hoping that bodes well for not having a huge 10lb baby but I don't know if it works like that

I'm so exhausted today. Like all my energy had disappeared completely. And my belly feels so so so full like ive eaten a whole buffet of food! Oh I had my midwife appointment today :) showed her my scan and she's happy and confident this is it :) got my 12 week scan on 21st April. Yay! :) can't wait! But she wasn't able to get any blood from me as my veins have disappeared since having DS lol got to go back to have another try :)
I can't wait to go to bed tonight haha!

I'm exhausted too cupcake! I'm hoping AF is slowing down now, it's been 2 days but it's been awful bit worried as I am anemic so surely this heavy blood loss can't be good!

Siarie have you worked out how heavy baby will be at full term? And have you lil?

I can't remember what it was but I worked out ds would have been 10 - 11 lb at full term

Oh gosh Ducky I do hope it is calming down then. DS was 8lb 13oz n he was too big for me lmao! I was measuring 42 weeks at 38 weeks lol what the heck will this baby weigh??!!! I'm wanting a natural birth this time round too!
And I swear atm I could easily be 6 months pregnant cuz the amount of bloating I have is ridiculous! My belly has ballooned!! I'm just hoping I still fit in my bridesmaid dress for Sunday as its my friends wedding!

Ooh how do you work out how much your baby weighs? I didn't know you could do that!
I'm really excited to be so close to full term! I can't wait to meet this little fella I was measuring big at my last midwife appt but she said it was due to him not having started descending yet. She measured again today and said all seems well although he still hasn't descended!
He's been wriggling around loads this evening and sticking out pointy elbows or knees! Now he's got the hiccups again and making my whole tummy bounce with each one!

Omg cupcake! Can you try on your dress sooner to see if it needs to be let out? With ds i seemed massive up to 9 weeks, then I deflated again then I got HUGE! If I were to be pg again in the future I would want a water birth with just g&a I think. What's the idiot saying about it all? Is he bothered?

Lil in your green notes there should be the growth chart, depending on which line he is following, follow that like to 37/38/39/40 weeks and see how much the chart says then change it to lb (if that makes any sense!) there is weeks at the bottom I think and weight on the side, or the other way round!

I don't have a growth chart, I've checked for one before. It seems like different areas do it differently, no one has said anything about baby measurements or anything like that to me. At the scan they said she had long thigh bones (which is no surprise mine are stupidly long which is why I'm so tall).

So no idea how much she's likely to weigh, but hopefully she won't be too big! the smaller the better for the exit if you ask me.

Cupcake Urgh the bloating! I felt bloated the whole time until I actually started to get my bump. Although I lost loads of weight during that time so clothes that hadn't fitted by for a while all fit which was a bonus. But It wasn't great as you end up in that is she pregnant or fat stage.

Where I am you have a growth chart and are told an estimated weight at each scan. Mine was bang on!
