Aww congrats again Bears!! :)

Aw Steph 4 weeks has flown by! And i hated going back to work! DS was 6 months but I had to leave work due to him being ill at 7 months but but went back again like 2 months after that lol!
But even now I still hate leaving him :( but it is so nice to have ur own town again and be urself :) and it's lovely to come home and have cuddles off them :)

And yes lil please call midwife and be monitored just to be safe. They don't mind being called they'd rather u did than u didn't. I went in loads with DS as he wasn't moving a lot and I was in slow labour for 2 weeks

Congratulations Bear. That's fantastic news! Flowers Hurrah, another one safely here! Bet you are glad that is over and done with. Is he beautiful? I could not stop looking at DS and being amazed by him.

Cupcake, glad DS is a bit better. Is your boiler mended?

Lilla- go and get it checked and you'll feel better. Like Ducky says, err on the safe side. They won't mind at all

Steph, I am not going back until September at the earliest. DH thinks i should take the full year until next January but I do miss work. I miss my mind being challenged. A lot of my confidence comes from being really good at my job and I am feeling a bit isolated at home all day sometimes.

LuluJakey1 · 25/02/2015 22:16

Oh and Cupcake, DS is loads better today. Runny nose almost stopped. Nappies back to normal. We went out for our walk this afternoon and he was very lively when e got back. Has started flinging things- by accident. Throws his arms around and toy flies out of his hand. He does not seem bothered, never looks or cries after it but happy if you give it back- not that he plays with anything, just holds things.

bradders85 · 25/02/2015 23:10

Hi everyone, not been over on here in a long time so would take an age to catch up but wanted to say congratulations to bears hope you are well and enjoy your new baby snuggles Smile.

lillamyy1 · 26/02/2015 00:14

Just waiting for taxi back from hospital. The little bugger started wriggling and kicking like anything 5 mins after they put the trace on him! He's absolutely fine but I'm so glad I went in. Thanks for the advice everyone. Ducky, what happened with your DD is the main reason I bothered going in.
Bloody expensive in taxi fare - we'll be deducting it from his pocket money for years Wink

LuluJakey1 · 26/02/2015 05:46

Lilla That's great. Little so and so Grin Must have woken up late.

Ducky23 · 26/02/2015 07:08

Ha lil that's always the way! Glad everything is ok Smile

Cupcake92 · 26/02/2015 07:22

Lulu so glad DS is feeling better! :) no our boiler isn't fixed yet. The guy came yesterday and it's worse than suspected. So he's back this morning to work on it all day and should fx be fixed at the end of today.

Hi bradders! :) hope u are well!

Lill that's brill news :) so glad u went and now feel reassured :)

I've got the worlds worst sore throat and have woken up not being able to talk very well! Haha! Plus my morning sickness has kicked in! EUgh it's not good Envy

Ducky23 · 26/02/2015 07:47

Oh no cupcake (to the sore throat!)

Well this morning ds held my finger and brought it up and put it in his mouth GrinGrinGrin

Siarie · 26/02/2015 09:48

Glad everything is ok Lil, I wonder if I'm in a long early labour. I'm getting far more BH now, like usually one an hour at least if not more. But then the body must increase practice at my stage now?

I'll have to keep monitoring it, I find it hard though as my bump gets tight for usuall two mins and it's hard to establish when it's finished to count the time between the next one?

I thought it would be more obvious. Sorry to hear you have a sore throat cupcake, could you get some strepsils? They are ok in pregnancy and helped me a few times.

Can't believe Bears has given birth, who's next now? I've got 6-9 weeks left to go.

Cupcake92 · 26/02/2015 19:25

aaww that's cute Ducky !! :D bless him!

Siarie have u mentioned this to the midwife? What have they said? Did they think its just BH too?

OP posts:
lillamyy1 · 26/02/2015 20:30

Aaw Ducky, that's lovely Smile
Hope all's well, Siarie!

lillamyy1 · 26/02/2015 20:43

Sorry to hear about your throat, Cupcake. I always have lemon with loads of honey in hot water, or - if you can stomach it - vinegar with honey in hot water! It's antiseptic and soothing.
I'm not sure if it's me or Tori next?
Hello bradders! Great to hear from you!

Oh poor you Tori! Sorry you're so poorly but glad baby's well Smile
There's a lot of poorly ladies on the thread at the moment!
So it must be me next and then Siarie soon after! (Unless her BH turn out to be actual labour!)
My MA has come through at last so going to pick up the last bits land bobs for my hospital bag tomorrow.

Cupcake92 · 26/02/2015 21:41

Oh Tori sorry to hear ur unwell! :( hope u get well soon! It's good baby is well!! :)

Oo lill the hospital bag is the best bit!!! :D
Can't wait to do mine. What have u got in urs?

I'm excited about this baby, I'm nervous atm and hope things go well but also will I be giving birth on my own? :s will exH even come to the birth? I can't have my mom there as she'd be having DS.

OP posts:
Ducky23 · 26/02/2015 21:56

Oh nooo, hope everyone starts feeling better soon!

Cupcake have you told stbxh? And do you want him at the birth?

Siarie · 26/02/2015 21:58

Honestly I don't know what is going on! BH again this evening, timed them for an hour and they started with 3-4 gap but then slowly decreased to 10mins and have gone back to irregular. Cupcake the midwife said if they get regular and stay at 3-4 to go into hospital as they don't want me going into labour.

On top of that I was sitting on the sofa this afternoon and felt weird, could feel my heart going. Checked my heart rate and it was 140! I've promised my DH if it happens again I'll call the midwife and ask if I'm really meant to just wait for a consultant appointment to discuss the palpitations I'm having. As long as they aren't causing the baby distress I don't mind but it just seems odd.

Lil I'm due 27th of April but she could arrive any time the start of April to the start of May I suppose!

lillamyy1 · 26/02/2015 22:30

Ooh I hope she stays put until she's ready Siarie! Yes, you really should call doc if your hr increases again. Tbh if I were you I'd go and see the doc or at least phone and speak to them tomorrow, since you've had several weird symptoms. Better safe than sorry.
Cupcake, I can understand how you feel. It's great that you're so excited about the baby Grin Would you really want exH there at the birth? Have you got a friend who could go with you? Or maybe you could think about having a doula! I've read good things about them.
Yes, I'm really enjoying packing my bag Grin I've got nearly all the essentials toiletry-wise and got everything for baby's bag, but still need a spare nighty, a couple of pairs of comfy trousers like leggings or something (just cheap ones in case of leaks Confused) and maybe something like crocs to wear in the shower if it's communal?? Also need to get some bits and bobs for my bits and bobs Blush lavender oil, a jug for washing down below in case of stitches etc.
DP has been planning what sandwiches he's going to take in his bag Grin He loves sandwiches!!

LuluJakey1 · 26/02/2015 22:57

Lilla, I was 9 cm and sucking on gas and air like mad and DH said 'D'you fancy half this ham sandwich love?'

A) I am vegetarian
B) Was it really bloody likely at that point I'd fancy half of any kind of sandwich?

My reply wasn't too polite and he looked a bit surprised. Hmm

LuluJakey1 · 26/02/2015 23:00

Since I gave birth I can't wait long to pee. Once I need to go, I need to go within about 5 mins. Anyone else get like this? It's like a real urge- worse at home than outside.

Cupcake92 · 26/02/2015 23:00

Ducky yeah he knows. He doesn't seem very excited about it tho.

Oo yeah Siarie id call the doctors just to be safe. As lill said, 'better to be safe than sorry'

Lill, a doula would be perfect!! She'd be able to help me achieve my Vbac as well! Might look into that :)
And a nighty is a good thing! I made the mistake of wearing pjs with DS! It didn't turn out well lol Grin

LuluJakey1 · 26/02/2015 23:11

Has he been to look at the places to rent he was seeing this week Cupcake?

lillamyy1 · 26/02/2015 23:26

Haha Lulu that made me laugh Grin I'm quite sure DP is going to do my head in at the birth Hmm
I don't know if she's too far from Derby being Notts-based, but I've got some info on a doula who sounds really nice. She's called Wendy Coe - you can probably google her Smile

Ducky23 · 27/02/2015 08:08

Cupcake if your willing to pay I have details of an AMAZING private midwife but it isn't cheap Confused they also could help you have vbac and be with you at the birth... But a doula might be cheaper? I have no idea on their prices.

Sandwiches are a good idea. Hospital food was disgusting!!!
